    Would you support

Mitch is warning that both sides might call witnesses. I'm wondering who is this warning meant for?

    Anyway.

Do you support both sides calling witnesses?

I'm for it, even the whistleblower providing his or her identity is kept secret. Other than that, go for it, call whom you please. Want the bidens? Ok. Anybody else the republicans want to call? I'm for it as long as the dems get to call whom they wish. A one for one exchange of testimony.

To me this is the best the republicans can hope for. Trying to push 'the trial' through with no witnesses doesn't sit well with the MAJORITY of americans and in my opinion if the republicans decide to take that route, they will pay severely come election time.

    Thoughts?

I don't see how that goes bad for the Democrats because every argument the Republicans have is based in nonsensical conspiracy theories.

Ok, call the Bidens. So what? Does that somehow make this corrupt, self serving endeavor by Trump in Ukraine any more palatable because Hunter Biden admits he made some money sitting on the board of a company?

Ok, try to call the whistle blower. Make it clear you are perfectly fine with putting his safety at risk in a climate where the President himself has insinuated he should be killed.

Who else do you want to call? Hillary Clinton? Obama? Jimmy Carter? Any other random Democratic figures that Republicans feel like throwing mud at that have essentially nothing to do with the charges against Trump? Fine. Let the American people see how unfit you are to be in office.

    It was a joke.

The whole impeachment is a joke. Dems knew it would fail from day 1. Why waste all that time and money when they should be governing the country?

I have no problem calling witnesses.
I would like to know how you get a job on the board of a Ukrainian company. I'm looking for work.
Hunter is a known drug addict, no experience in oil and gas, can't speak the language but lands a job that pays thousands a month. Interesting.
I would like to know why you would withhold aid to a country until they fire a prosecutor. Was that the only reason aid was withheld? Isn't withholding aid to Ukrainian a National Security issue?

Both sides should be able to call witnesses. This is a trial, not a vote.

We get both sides on record and let's see the facts, on both sides, and make a judgment. MY issue is, the dems sped through this and with all this new info coming out, it would have been alot harder for Trump to deny what he is being accused of.

Leave it to the dems to **** it up.

It's a warning for other politicians. He is basically saying that if they call witnesses Republicans will drag in Hunter Biden, Chelsea Clinton, or Obama's kids to make a bunch of political attacks and rev up the base. It's completely worth it as far as I'm concerned.

Is that a yes or no?

The 'trial' is going to take place so all you are doing is griping and adding nothing to the conversation. Was it really that difficult to answer a simple yes or no question? Geez.

Honestly, I am sure he got the job because his last name was Biden. Not the first and certainly not the last individual to benefit from nepotism. Hell, ask Javanka who have been bringing in more money each month than Biden made during his entire stay at Burisma.

And when Joe Biden delivered the ultimatum there were key differences. He was acting on the official policy of not just America, but of all Western allies with an interest in Ukraine. He didn't send his private team of goons to go do it at Trump did. He didn't participate in a bizarre scheme to monitor and harass our sitting ambassador in order to find a reason to force them out. He didn't repeatedly lie about what he was doing. Frankly, he had nothing personal whatsoever to gain from this prosecutor being kicked to the curb. The investigation into Burisma was already considered long dormant by the time hundreds of thousands of Ukranians took to the street demanding Shokin be fired. There appears to be no evidence of wrongdoing by either Hunter or Joe Biden and nobody in any official capacity inside Ukraine has even hinted at such.

    Yeah, bring on Hunter Biden.
An investment firm linked to Hunter Biden received over $130 million in federal bailout loans while his father Joe Biden was vice president and routed profits through a subsidiary in the Cayman Islands, according to federal banking and corporate records reviewed by the Washington Examiner.

Financial experts said the offshore corporate structure could have been used to shield earnings from U.S. taxes.
