Because Trump's 2016 victory was razor thin in the three blue states he won. I can't see that level of support this time around, as the turnout for him in rural areas was unprecedented.
The bloom is off the rose, there is inevitable disappointment. Unless the Democrats nominate someone like Sanders, I just can't imagine Trump winning.
