Anyone care to watch the debate tonight? Perhaps a drinking game of how many times someone says "I can beat Trump" or words to that effect?

Also, CNN is hosting the event and doubling down on the, pardon the pun, "trumped up" Sanders-Warrens spat.

Personally, while I think Trump is the worst President in living history and a complete f***ing moron, I doubt the Democrats have anyone who can beat him in the election.

Polls indicate most can beat Trump. The country isn't really "center-right" anymore. If you go through polling Democrats have an advantage on policy, in that a majority of Americans agree with them. So, basically the idea for Republicans and centrists is to make the debate about as much bull**** as possible in order to muddy the waters.

I'll probably tune in and out, but the fact is that I'm anywhere between fine and thrilled with our options, and I'll vote for whoever the Primary winner ends up being.

Which polls? I like polls, but I also understand their limitations; one of which is who is doing the poll.

Thanks for the PR spin. Here's the thing: spin as much as you like the fact remains the "R" group will vote Republican and the "D" group will vote Democrat. That's 60% of the 60% of Americans who actually show up on Election Day. The 40% of the 60% of Americans who actually vote are Independents; They, the Independents, re the ones to watch. Which way are they leaning? So far, they seem to favor the status quo.

My money is on Trump. Not because he's best but because he is better than what the Democrats are offering. Sad, isn't it?

I assume you're speaking to us from an alternate reality.

That's true if you're looking at one or two polls. But if you're taking an average of polls and they're all trending identically over the course of an extended period of time....say, three years...then your criticism of polls doesn't hold water.

I assume you're speaking to us from an alternate reality.

If you consider MN, IA, WI, MI, OH, PA, NC, FL, and AZ; then he’s the one in today’s real political reality, not you.

The only chance Democrats have is a brokered convention and a drafted candidate.

Bernie Bros Backstabbers Weaver and Rojas proved during the last hour that this will be trump 2.0 if Sanders doesn’t get the nomination.

:eek:ok at the margin of error before reading poll results. If the input against Trump is outside the MOE, you can bet your money most Americans don't want him to stay in the White House.

Almost all of the polls show Biden, Sanders, Buttigieg, and Warren ahead of Trump 1-5pts.

Also the polling on Medicare for all, Green New Deal, Gun Control, Ending the wars abroad, etc. All of them show a Democratic advantage.

Not sure what you mean by me spinning when I'm just citing data?

You mean the part about Republicans making it about bull**** like emails and this go around looks like Burisma?

How is that spin when we see they are losing on the issues so they tug on strings of bull**** to rile people up?

Does anyone know who favorite candidates are in certain Democratic primaries? Of course we know they will win their own states, but otherwise, I have no idea who is leading where.

Bernie is leading in most early primary states except SC. Biden is way out ahead of everyone in SC.

Actually just looked at rcp and it looks like Biden has retaken the lead in the early states. How? I have no clue.

Get a clue :)

So many Sanders supporters think the best candidate is the one with the best policies. They seem clueless about all the other factors involved, including health, stature, personality, age, composure, looks, etc., etc., et ****ing cetera...

Biden is a miserable failure in all those categories imo.

But that's just what I see.

Democrats/one Indy continue to waste their time, energy and money in a small state that has gone red this decade. Meanwhile, trump is where he needs to be tonight, a swing state, Wisconsin. These first four states should be on the same date, the Tuesday before Super Tuesday.

Sanders now admits the talking points memos trashing Warren in multiple states came from him. Bernie and his asshole campaign manager Jeff Weaver are liars.

Sandernista ostriches just won’t accept the fact that the crucial Midwestern states trump flipped to win the election are Center-right; more conservatives than liberals.

The calculation is that you have to offer the country an alternative to Republicans. If you don't offer them an alternative to Republicans, the country picks the Republican, not the Republican-lite. Joe Donnelly ran a campaign as a Democrat that was basically, "I'm for Trump." and he lost to his Republican opponent.

How is it the Republicans have ran harder and hard right and still managed to win elections against Democrats who run "center-right" campaigns. It's because those Dems are aiming for a Republican base with center-right campaigns and those voters are off in Trumpland where Mexicans are scary rapists and Tomi Lahren is their daughter-in-law.

Donald Trump proved over and over again how important composure, mental health, and personality are by not having any skills that make someone fit to be president. Age only matters if it affects a candidate's ability to do the job.

I haven't watched any of the debates thus far, I think I'll keep that record intact. I'm still registered as a Republican in my state, so I can't vote for any of them during the primary anyway (and I'm not changing my affiliation to Democrat because I am not one in any sense).

I'm kind of with you in a sense that I can't watch certain Democrats speak because they will surely lose my vote, so for example, if Biden wins the nomination I have to just go off grid until November so, I will still be able to cast a vote for Biden to prevent the reelection of the worst president in American history.

I'll probably tune into the first half of the Democratic whites only debate to get a feel for how the moderators handle the show and see if anything new gets talked about.

Look, a race-baiting Trumspter (not uncommon, not picture worthy).

Thanks, but I don't think the Democratic Party needs snarky comments about diversity from the White Male Christians Only Club.

Your Indiana Senate race was a very poor example, considering Donnelly beat a most worthless ‘Mourdock’ in 2012. You forgot to mention that NONE of the Democrats that flipped House seats in 2018 were ‘Justice’. All 43 were Moderates, the reason D’s have the House. The ones now in danger due to leftist extremism.

Let’s use two bar magnets under paper and iron filings on top. Place the north poles of the two magnets toward each other. That’s what Sanders has done with each Democratic candidate. No overlap; no cohesion; the same bitter feelings his Weaver camp developed before the Iowa caucuses in 2016.

Would you prefer a replay of the GOPutin debates of 2015/2016?
