Democratic Presidential Debate - 14JAN20

My state will start early voting in a month and I'm still undecided, but I think I'll vote for Biden, not because I love him or anything, but because I think he still probably has the best chances against Trump. I think Warren will lose to Trump; I can't stand Bernie Sanders, and all the others have no chance.

So, by default, I'll probably go with Biden.

I don't get how people would be more inspired to vote for Biden than for Buttigieg in the general election. I get that Biden is more popular with minorities today but when the choice comes down to Trump vs Buttigieg, I don't think they would vote for Trump. In all the debates, even in per-rehearsed parts, Biden can't string 5 sentences together without losing his train of thought or mumbling something that does not make sense. Trump will look pretty good next to him I am afraid.

Can you explain specifics?

Sometimes I vote for people based on their ability to beat their Republican opponents in November. This year, I am keeping three options (Sanders, Warren, and Biden) open based on what they want to do.

Sanders and Warren are a bit too much to the left for me. I have a major problem with basing education cost reimbursement based on accumulated debt instead of tuition paid and with wealth tax proposals. I'll vote for Buttigieg (was going to vote for Republican opponent but my state won't have that option) over Biden for the reason mentioned above.

Something "new and promising" would play better than something "old and senile" next to Trump IMO.

Ya, I can't wait to see that Trump/Biden debate.

You can keep drinking that Kool-Aid if you want. Don't pretend you are fair minded while you do it. That's too much even for TDS victims.

An objective, fair minded person can see that the Russia-collusion narrative is a hoax. An objective, fair minded person can see that Trump has done a good job.

Any objective person can see the Russian election interference was real. Even Republicans got mad, you know. And it was Republicans, not Democrats, who started the investigation.

To bad there isn't a emoji for " Grasping at Straws ". The Democrats could use that one all day long.

That's low. You should apologize.

Any objective person can see him as good President. Judging from his children, good father too.

Yes, I am very low on Trump. You probably already knew that.

I am sorry if anybody was offended by the comment.

You're just furious that Clinton didn't win and give the rest of Ukraine and all of our uranium to Putin for another over $100 million into the Clinton's pocket. Why do most Democrats so LOVE Putin and hate the USA? Why do you in your messages?

Why do you think Democrats are the ones who love Putin?

I am not grasping at straws. Just telling the truth that was PROVEN many times.

Nope. The chosen one is a liar, a con, and a womanizer who has had multiple affairs and paid to cover them up.
Even if that is true, he's a lying womanizing conman that is a good President and father.

A blind person can see that the Democrats looked hard for two years, under pretense of national security, for any shred of proof that Trump or any of his people were involved. Bubkis. Trump was exonerated

That is not why you owe an apology. You owe that for putting your words in someone else's mouth. In this case it was mine, but don't do that.

Obama did a lot of good things in office and has no personality baggage.

Virtually everything Obama did was wrong. and if it took a President with "personality baggage" to unscrew it, GREAT. I'll take that ANYTIME over unemployment, puny GDP, stagnant wages, being taken advantage of ....

Good father? After what he said and did to Tiffany? After he ridiculously IGNORES his son?

GTFO with this garbage.

Trump's economy has created millions of subpar jobs. The rubes eat it up while shuffling in the SNAP lines.

This economy only works for half the country. The other half get ****.

and it is infinitely better than Obama's....

and it is infinitely better than Obama's....

And? Who gives a ****? What's the obsession with endlessly trying to be "better" than Obama?

I don't get it and I don't think any conservative has ever given me a reason for this endless obsession.

Explain to me how it was wrong to capture and kill Saddam Hussein, kill Osama bin Laden, reverse the Great Recession housing and job markets, increase the minimum wage, and fix the biggest credit card debt and health care problems.

You don't want to give Obama credit for getting America out of the biggest economic crisis in 80 years.

No, he didn't. In fact, his bureaucratic social engineering stifled businesses and made the recovery much too slow. As soon as Trump cleaned out his mess, business started to flourish, but you don't want to give Trump credit for making America Great again. Thanks for your help.

I can. Obama should never gotten into the White House, since he thought it was his license to social engineer liberal causes. It wasn't, and THAT is EXACTLY why Trump, warts and all, was put in the Oval Office.

It wasn't wrong to do those things. He just happened to be in the seat when it happened. He tried to emasculate the military, and they accomplished those things in spite of him. However, he didn't reverse the Great Recession (whatever that is) have anything to do with the housing market recovery, destroyed the job market. Increasing the minimum wage is not necessarily a good thing. He didn't fix the biggest credit card debt and health care problems, either. They held their own until he was gone and the economy has boomed ever since he left

Lmao. Alright, can you give me some evidence that supports this nonsensical claim?

What claim? Do you disagree Obama thought it was his license to social engineer liberal causes? If not, what the hell did he do for the eight years we gave him? Can you think of another reason Trump was elected? Hilarity ran on being Barry's third term, you know....

Trump had no mess to clean up in the housing market. Obama was the one who brought back millions of jobs Bush cut.

Do you know anything abouot giving a man credit for reversing major damage done by his predecessor?

Yes. I disagree about social engineering. What he did for 8 years was try to govern against an arsonist, enemy party, the republican party, who has drifted so far to the right as to be incendiary, who project this nonsense with their absurd claims now that the "left" is too extreme.

The country is changing. You conservatives need to get the **** over it and stop making everyone ****ing miserable. We have one life here; you will no longer be allowed to dictate social norms via theocratic moral fiat. The public is sick of it, and just because a minority of people are spread across the country in the "right places" doesn't mean a majority elected POTUS. More individuals DISAGREE WITH your platform than agree with it.

There is ZERO EVIDENCE to support your baseless and vacuous claim about social engineering. The country is growing and changing.

Adapt, or die; but either way, stonewalling it will just mean the adaptation, or the death, will be all the more painful for you lot when it comes.

And it will.
