Just As Trump Promised, Mexico Is Paying For His Wall

Must be that 71% drop in illegal immigration that has you all worked up. I don't think most cares who pays for the wall. But most do care about criminals, drug dealers, and human traffickers having Democrat support and Democrat sanctuary cities to hide in.

Now that this is all changing and these illegals don't have free rein to come across at will, you are more upset Mexico isn't paying for it while your candidates promote free tax payer provided healthcare for illegals.

We all know where you stand. Thanks for clearing it all up for us.

If there's been a 71% drop, why spend billions on a wall?

I have to say....I've seen stupid posters before but that one ranks among the more stupid. A picture of Trump (and a good one) with some leftist words on it that can be done in ten seconds?

That the asshole lied to the American people to begin with about Mexico paying for his wall. Only an idiot would believe that Mexico was going to pay for Trump's wall. But you know Trump, he loves the uneducated people.

Always plenty of idiots out there....

I think this is all a bunch of BS. The last thing Trump wants is his wall, because it's going to do next to nothing, and be exposed as a huge boondoggle.

Trump, unlike a good chunk of his base, has heard of ladders.

First you secure our border then you charge them to come over. Just like any toll road or toll bridge. If they want to work in this country they need to get a work visa and have job. No more sneaking across and then seeing whose job they can take. No more working for cash and not paying taxes forcing our middle class to pay their way. No more working for less than minimum wage driving wages down and destroying everything our unions fought for. I have no problem bringing in workers if we have plenty of jobs. There are millions of law abiding people all over the world waiting patiently to come to our country legally. Time to get back to legal immigration by law abiding people who made America great.[/QUOTE

Fair and Balanced write up. Thank You. Why can't Nancy Pelosi and her crew see that? Serious question! I just don't understand how everyone isn't on that Ban wagon.

You think a wall will secure your border?
Google 'San Ysidro border crossing' and see how many legal crossings there are in one day at one crossing. Juan doesn't wade the river with his clothes bundled on his head anymore, his whole family walks or drives across to go shopping or visit family or just for a long weekend and they just stay. That's how illegal immigration happens nowadays. But hey, build your wall. Your money, your choice. Might be other ways to apply resources, more effective ways, but a nice, shiny wall sure looks good to a certain segment.

If WALLS don't work, then why does Nancy Pelosi, Hillary Clinton, and the Vatican have walls? Serious question. The WALLS are there for PROTECTION against anyone or anything getting to you. TRUE and SIMPLE.

Drugs! Illegals! Oh my!

Fact-checking Trump team: most drugs enter U.S. through ports of entry

But an analysis of data from the southern border indicates that the vast majority of narcotics enters through U.S. ports of entry, not the wide swaths of border in between where additional barriers could be erected.

For 7th Consecutive Year, Visa Overstays Exceeded Illegal Border Crossings : NPR

The report released Wednesday by the Center for Migration Studies of New York finds that from 2016-2017, people who overstayed their visas accounted for 62 percent of the newly undocumented, while 38 percent had crossed a border illegally.

AP FACT CHECK: Visa overstays outpace border crossings

While the U.S. is struggling to deal with an uptick of families and children seeking asylum from Central America, the number of border crossings has actually declined in recent years. Meanwhile, the number of foreigners who did not leave the country when they were supposed to — commonly called visa overstays — has stayed consistent. Temporary visas are issued to foreigners who want to work, study, travel or seek medical treatment in the country.

Illegal immigrant detention is big business. It's no wonder nobody actually wants it to slow down, their buddies are getting rich and their campaigns are getting richer.

Worth Rises — Immigration Detention: An American Business

For example, Casa Padre in Brownsville, Texas holds nearly 1,500 children and is run by the non-profit Southwest Key, which is slated to receive $458 million of the nearly billion dollars ORR expects to spend on these shelters in 2018 despite past violations. In fact, between 2014 and 2018, ORR awarded $1.5 billion to contractors with serious allegations of child abuse and neglect. Southwest Key has also come under fire in recent weeks for dramatically increasing its CEO's compensation from roughly $786,000 in 2015 to $1.5 million in 2016 as it brings in revenue from the government in the current climate.

https://www.nytimes.com/2018/12/02/us/southwest-key-migrant-children.html

Southwest Key has collected $1.7 billion in federal grants in the past decade, including $626 million in the past year alone. But as it has grown, tripling its revenue in three years, the organization has left a record of sloppy management and possible financial improprieties, according to dozens of interviews and an examination of documents. It has stockpiled tens of millions of taxpayer dollars with little government oversight and possibly engaged in self-dealing with top executives.

But on Oct. 17, Mr. Sanchez donated $5,100 to the Arizona Republican Party, which controls the state’s government. His wife gave another $5,100. (Their previous political donations totaled no more than $2,100, made only to Democrats and liberal causes, records show.) A week later, the state agreed to a settlement that kept most Southwest Key shelters open.

We are paying not only for the wall but for these private detention centers whose goal is to get more illegals to come for more taxpayer money.

I'm not sure what your point is, here? It seems illegal immigration is as high as usual, then it recently spiked super under Trump several months ago? But now it's back to being as high as usual? I'm lost, here.

Your not Lost. You as well as AMERICA knows what happened and who was responsible about ILLEGAL ALIENS. Mrs. Nancy Pelosi fought President Trump the entire way about this issue. The Democrats needed more votes, so the Liberal's looked at Illegals as a Democratic Votes. Now Now Comrad, That is to simple for you not to know. Playing stupid on here doesn't work.

What chaps your ass more?

1. That Congress won't help Trump make Mexico pay for the wall?

2. That Congress won't fork over the money to pay for the wall?

3. That Trump told Congress to get ****ed and legally got the money anyway?

Your selective memory is comical.

I have no idea why the House bowed to Trump on not putting a "no raiding the military for the wall" clause in this year's budget? Nancy had him by the balls, he could never get away with another shutdown, so why did she cave? I'm not happy about this at all.

I agree, but since his balls are like raisins, she probably lost her grip.

The anger for Trump is unhealthy. It blinds objectivity. It tears you up from the inside.

Love for Trump is unhealthy, you lose your soul, your free-thinking and your common sense when you worship and follow a cult leader.

Its no different than Obama promising thst health insurance premiums would go down. Nobody believed that either but those that wanted it didnt care that it was a lie he told to get it passed. These are nothing more than outrages based in partisanship.

There were a lot on both sides of the aisle that were furious with this, and Obama's implementation of the ACA. It wasn't just Republicans that were pissed. Why do you think it was so unpopular?

It takes 2 to negotiate.

Federal budgets are inherently negotiated, Trouble 13. Trump has fallen short of his self-proclaimed prowess, which is why he's gotten little success.

In order to negotiate ANYTHING you have to have a willing second party. The democrat party committed to blocking and opposing Trump on any and everything he submitted since 9 Nov 2016. You literally have members of the party openly admitting their entire intent has been resistance, opposition, and impeachment. Trump could come out in favor of oxygen and the democrat party would literally suffocate themselves to spite him. You cant negotiate with that.

These are people that only a few years prior were passing border security authorizations and talking about how important it is to still attack the problim of illegal immigration...the same people who just 2 years later are going in front of cameras and LITERALLY crying about how inhumane it is to try to deport illegal immigrants. The same people that were literally declaring Trump a war criminal for putting children in cages...and offering as evidence PICTURES of children in cages...from the Obama administration.

There is no negotiation to be had with mindless leftist hatred.
The budget process is inherently a negotiation. The problem is Donny can't get it done, or get anything else done requiring negotiation prowess. He's an empty suit.

No one honestly believed Mexico was ever going to pay for the wall even Trump supporters.

And also none of us cares whether Mexico gave us one single centavo for the wall

That's nonsense and you know it. You're not being honest in either of your comments, you're saying you don't care now when it's clear that Trump was lying, he failed and Mexico is not paying for the wall. Easy to say that when your precious 'deal maker' let you and all the cultists down. Just say you didn't give a damn anyway. Those of us who didn't fall for the dictator wannabe's lies can see through his and all our your BS.

You aren’t dishonest enough nor foolish enough to believe that the democrats will negotiate ANYTHING with Trump.

We both know that.

Agree to disagree!

I believe Gran Mal was saying most illegal immigration occurs today by overstaying legal entrance. And I believe he is right, in that.

I don't think most of those coming here illegally are criminals otherwise, besides their illegal entrance. But you are right in that we should never accept as a fellow American anyone who's first act in the country is an illegal act to gain entrance. No way.

And I do suspect someone who's done one scam, like illegal entry, may be more prone to do other similar scams while here, like working illegally.

Oh there are still 100's of thousands entering illegally. Trump is trying to enforce our laws. The problem is the left thinks they should be rewarded not only for breaking our laws but being sneaky enough not to get caught. On top of that we are sending a message to the world that the way to immigrate to this country is by breaking our laws. The way to the front of the line is not by being honest and law abiding but sneaky and breaking our laws.

Once people around the world realize our border is secure and if you break our laws you will never be granted immigration status. People at least the people want coming to our country will stop breaking our laws. If nobody hunts down bank robbers and enforces our laws what do you think would happen? What do you think would happen if we started rewarding criminals?

Your a smart person. I can tell from your posts. The first step is to secure our border. Then we need to ID everyone entering our country including background checks. We need get rid of the losers and low life's with no respect for our laws. Finally and most important is the people entering our country need to pay for it. If they are working here from another country they pay a tax just the same as we pay FICA. Only this money goes to border security. The same thing at customs. Why should someone who has never left or entered our country pay. The people who cross the border should pay the same as people using a toll road or a bridge. Nothing is free.

Looks like Mexico is paying for his wall....not! But the Liar in Chief promised!

Trump Planning To Take $7.2 Billion More From Pentagon For Border Wall: Report | HuffPost

LMAO tons of people have already given up on the wall because they realize it factually wont work as claimed, Its a huge waste of money. A will factually never fix our immigration problems and because of that its a huge waste of money, is not worthy of a national disaster(fix) or shutting down the government.

Its nothing more than a pipe dream, a political pawn piece used for some of those that are retarded enough to think it will work and that its a good idea.

First you secure our border

the wall factually wont do that

disagree? prove otherwise

say illegal immigrants increase in this country by a million a year, best case scenario take a guess how many will the wall stop?

:popcorn2:

I partly agree that he has fallen short but its not entirely his fault. I think he genuinely underestimated how partisan washington is.
Also how partisan the media is and how one sidedly they frame partisan impasses.

For the record, I'm not complaining about the gridlock. I believe the framers intended it to be this way and i am a fan of it. I dont think either party should get their way entirely
