It's nothing. Literally nothing. "Abuse of power" is not grounds for impeachment. Telling Congress to go to hell isn't grounds for impeachment. It's nothing but a rant against Trump for not being like the treasonous, anti-American Democrats in the House.

Yes I knew no Republican witnesses testified. I saw the list of potential witnesses and not one had anything to do with the actual case.

The Senate court is run by Chief Justice John Roberts and it observes ALL federal rules of evidence and witness testimony.

And yes, its a court. The only difference is the jury is the Senators.

Pelosi tried to negotiate the terms of the rules of evidence so her witnesses could testify. Thats why she didn't provide the articles of Impeachment.

If she had witnesses that could testify she would have turned over the articles the day they were voted on.

McConnell said no. He won't change the rules of evidence or witnesses testimony to appease Pelosi or any other Democrat.

There won't be any witnesses testifying for Democrats because they are all hearsay witnesses and their testimony is worthless and no Federal Judge will allow them to testify.

So since there won't be any witnesses called to support the articles of impeachment, there won't be any witnesses testifying for Trump.

This is why McConnell stated he wasn't calling any witnesses because Pelosi has no witnesses she can provide.

So Pelosi wants to call Trumps witnesses but she can't do it. It isn't provided by the rules of evidence.

When you impeach and draw up articles of impeachment, you present those articles and you witnesses to be heard by the court.

If you have no witnesses to present, there isn't a trial.
