The progressive mind

There is a very good reason why federal judges are to be appointed for life. This is not by accident.

Thank God Trump tends to appoint younger federal judges who will likely serve for longer periods of time.

I don't know of any "progressive" who has perfect faith in the infallibility of humans, or their minds, or their motives, etc.

Liberals, leftist, progressives, whatever, believe they're correct, of course, as do libertarians, conservatives, paleo conservatives, moderates, etc. and everyone else with a position on public policy and government.

Atheists, or non-spiritual individuals, have no reason to doubt the power of their minds, their egos.

You need God for that? How it's impossible doubt own abilities as atheist? Doubt is healthy for all of us. Without having doubts science is just huge trainwreck. Having doubts isn't even awkward. In religious context people are sane, because they believe in God and their mind/ego is also someway in better shape? All what's needed to doubt 'power of own mind' is being honest and face our limitations as human beings. There's no need to draw God in that picture.

I'm not saying it's completely impossible being intellectual and religious (and still somewhat sane person), but so far, I'm not recognizing any of that.

You're just making stuff up, and then using your made up theories to smear those on the left. It's a mystery why you're doing that.

Your statement above is obvious nonsense. I don't have to believe in a god or be 'spiritual' to recognize the fallibility of humans and human organizations. The evidence is all around us every day, and is obvious through all of human history. And I also don't have to be religious or spiritual to recognize my own VAST limitations. That too is evident to me every day and I merely need a bit of humility and self reflection to recognize THAT.
