FINALLY, A LITTLE PAYBACK

Covington Catholic High School student Nick Sandmann reportedly has received a settlement from CNN after suing the left-wing network for smearing him last year.

CNN agreed Tuesday to settle a lawsuit with Covington Catholic student Nick Sandmann,” Fox 19 reported. “The amount of the settlement was not made public during a hearing at the federal courthouse in Covington.”

Sandmann also filed lawsuits against The Washington Post and NBC Universal, each for $250 million or more, and is reportedly planning to “sue Gannett, owners of The Enquirer.”

McMurtry told anchor Sandra Smith, “Well, what CNN’s tagline is is ‘facts first.’ And what we believe their reporting was in this circumstance was lies first, cover up second, and facts not yet determined by that organization.

Actually it was the troll who should pay.

I bet that was a good payday. Can't wait to see the reactions from the other networks on the list.

As I have stated in other same thread, it pays to have your feelings hurt nowadays. :)

Something tells me that the kid got nothing or very little. Someone had to ask him for clarification and then only then did the right wing amp it up and declared victory. Only in MAGA-Land does settling mean winning.

As I have stated in other same thread, it pays to have your feelings hurt nowadays. :)

They got a whole nation of leftists to send this kid death threats when he was the one fighting against a racist native and a racist group of black hebrew israelites. When all the kid did was stand still the whole time.

A lawyer can't order anyone to preserve evidence without there already being a lawsuit filed or a rare formal notice of intent to file seeking court order to preserve evidence.

Oh no the poor rich self entitled white kid. Let's give them more money!

I can’t imagine CNN had to pay very much. The standing is incredibly vague.

I bet that was a good payday. Can't wait to see the reactions from the other networks on the list.

Don't hold your breath. The Daily Wire is not a reliable source. It specializes in right-wing sensationalizing out-of-context unverified stories. It is not read by anyone with brains.

Can't be racist against white people, they're not oppressed.

LMAO are you still trying this failed lie? nobody topically educated, honest and objective every buys it, we all just mock it for how factually wrong and ignorant it is!

Actually it was the troll who should pay.

You mean the 16 year old boy who was abused with racist insults by grown men for 2 hours? What a bunch of cowards the left are, trying to incite violence against a minor, just because he wore a Trump hat.

Can't be racist against white people, they're not oppressed.

White people are the minority in loads of counties and cities around the country now. They absolutely can be oppressed. If you don't believe me, let's take a ride to St Louis, and I'll drop you off in a neighborhood where I know you'll be oppressed :lamo

Riiiight. Paying out money to stop a trial doesn't mean anything, does it. lol Once they saw the video of CNN brutalizing this kid with lies they started making offers. Didn't even get through the deposition and discovery process. They paid up and it wasn't little either.

Thats what happens when your'e the king of fake news

Really, How vague is an actual video when you have the complete truth on video but decide to lie about it to attack a minor?

When they pay up before discovery is even complete, it ain't little.

Their being sued for knowingly lying to destroy the life of a minor. The fact that you already have that reputation makes it even worst.

Really, I guess you aren't in South Africa, Are you. What a ridiculous statement.

Majority power, not population, and context is global.

Majority power, not population, and context is global.

Facts:
majority has nothing to do with the definition of racism minorities can in fact be racist, nor does global context

disagree? factually prove otherwise, you wont (nor will ANYBODY) cause you cant :)

I saw a teenage brat staring down an elderly Native American man with a mocking grin. It was a shameful display of ignorance and should have brought shame on his Catholic school. Makes me wonder what type of future citizens will graduate from that school. There are questions for the faculty to answer.

Brat? He was actually the only behaved person while the surrounded by Black Israelite's who were calling them crackers telling them they should die. That elderly Native American is Nathan Phillips who is a whack job. That kid went as far as telling all his buddies not to respond to any of the shenanigans.

But then again......you don't care much about the truth, and never watched the video in it's entirety.

I'd smirk too if I had some lunatics talking trash and making veiled threats in my face.

Congratulations to that student on his victory.

I hope that many more people will start suing CNN.

I hope the OP realizes it is often much cheaper and easier for big companies to settle out of court than go through with a trial.
