Reporter Swatted By Runner Files Charges, Represented by Gloria Allred...Just as Mashmont Predicted!

Well, I could cite my mom, but you didn't know my mom.

Yes, true, I don't know your mom. But I do know that the two characters you used are two fictional women, whose lines and ideals expressed through acting were written by men.
Like I said, it is telling.

Well, lets see he now has to fend off sexual battery charges so he probably won't be doing it again

You don't know that. He may just say **** it and do it again because it's funny to him. Reminds me of criminals and their liberal defiance against the law.

but its nice to know you're willing to stand right behind people and watch and encourage them to do things you aren't brave enough to do yourself.

I have a wife I smack on the behind nearly every day. Guess I'm brave for it.

Critical Thought: Could it be she was molested by priests when she was young?

LAWL! Please quote wherever I made an argument she was molested by a priest!

Also, not a liberal or a conservative. I just love pointing out when people make stupid arguments.

My god if that isn't the most inane argument. I mean, kudos, if you missed the point of this thread any harder you'd be flat.

When a victim is told that her rapist is going to receive probation or another light sentence out of concern about ruining his life, she is being told exactly that. That the trauma she went through is not as serious as the prospect of causing harm to a kid from a "good family"

Which is totally irrelevant to the original post

Ass slapper has a wife too, that's not who he's in trouble for slapping but you're here bragging because you sack your own wifes ass. You can't even pretend to be fake internet tough guy properly.

Oh! It was common to make false allegations? Hm...or was it common for rapists and their defenders to claim that making false allegations was common. I am thinking the latter. In any event it has not been a common occurrence to tell a prosecutor he should have told a rape victim that holding her rapist accountable would "ruin his life" and regardless of how you want to spin it, it is not the responsibility of a prosecutor to make victims consider the consequences of the decisions their rapist has made. That is effectively saying "you should have just taken it". We do not ask the families of murder victims to consider the consequences a murderer may face so that they can have a chance to reconsider, and despite your assumptions about allegations, it is no more justified to treat rape victims in that way.

Do you really not understand the differences between prosecuting murder and prosecuting rape?

He wasn't. It's not hard to keep your hands to yourself, but some morons feel that they have some kind of right to touch people inappropriately. It's his problem now, and I hope he's gotten the memo that what he did ain't okay.
Imagine him after a few drinks in a bar? Yow!

I am so disappointed Bozarjian lacked the Christian upbringing to do the compassionate act of forgiveness, to not ruin a man's life for such a trivial act.

Me, too.

But I guess that it is asking too much in 2019 to expect people to be classy. The 15 minutes of fame and the ka-ching sound overwhelm most people.

OMG! You're kidding me? Holy crap, did he screw-up! Freaking idiot.

Like I said, it is telling.

Donna Reed was heavily involved in writing and producing her show, along with her husband Tony Owen.

Yeah, right. Slapping or grabbing her ass was a pure class move, right?

It is indeed an overwhelming temptation for a young starry-eyed girl with no moral compass. Not surprising she would succumb.

Reading is clearly not your strong suit. I said I hope he slaps another random's ass.

You can't even pretend to be fake internet tough guy properly.

And you clearly love to project

Two wrongs do not make a right.

If she were a real lady, she would have accepted his apology.

He has already been "punished" enough.

It is unseemly to kick someone who is already lying on the ground.

Have a nice new work week!

"Classy"? Seriously? Do you know what's not "classy"? Touching someone in an inappropriate manner without consent.

Imagine him after a few drinks in a bar? Yow!

He was a youth pastor, a scout leader, and a fitness buff. Your cartoon version doesn't fit. Try again.

Swat on the back. Stop making it something it wasn't. That's wrong.

It's also unseemly to pretend that this was just "Boys will be boys."

It's too soon to say whether choosing to maintain a dignified silence and just let the Twitterverse go nuts without her might have been the better professional choice. Her decision to make, and she is only 23. Nobody knew who she was before this, but now we do. Seize the moment, and all that.

Tommy Callaway made a stupid, impulsive decision, and he knew better. His denomination (United Methodist) requires ethics training. I don't know about the Scouts--surely, they do? Anyway, he did know better, and now he is paying. In today's "cancel climate" he is perhaps going to have to pay too much, but what he did was wrong. You can't just run by and slap some random woman's ass...or breast. He knew this.

I'm not seeing how her suit is "wrong". He slapped or grabbed her ass on live TV! But we'll see how it plays out. Perhaps if he does an appropriate public contrition, she may drop the suit. Or maybe even better, she can donate the proceeds of the suit to an appropriate awareness organization. This last would seem to be a fair gesture.
