Mike Pence Refuses To Release His Own Call With Ukraine's President | HuffPost
I guess Pence thinks he can do so since the DOJ run by Barr will never do anything about it even if he is found in contempt of congress. Just so all of you out there know that do not know, the Vice president does not have executive privilege. And when did a Vice president's lawyer get to decide what information Congress can and can not request. It is simply the GOP and Trump saying we control everything and you can do nothing to stop us. Our constitution is being nullified in big chunks by Trump and the GOP and Trumpsters just do not care as long as they can poke their fingers into the eyes of the Dems and the libs.

Congress is abusing its power on a quest to destroy the will of the people.

In a letter to House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), Pence’s lawyer, Matthew Morgan, said it “serves no purpose” to declassify supplemental testimony from one of Pence’s national security aides, as Schiff had demanded.

“At this point, the Intelligence Committee’s oversight authority is limited to those areas in which it may potentially legislate or appropriate,” Morgan wrote to Schiff, who pressed Pence last week to declassify supplemental testimony from one of the vice president’s national security aides, Jennifer Williams.

Pence rejects calls to declassify new impeachment testimony - POLITICO

Shifty needs to take them to court if he wants the call info so bad!

What "will of the people" are they out to destroy?

The will of the people who elected him. They are using Gestapo tactics and a kangaroo court and subpoenas of his neighbors dog trying to get something on him. It is abuse by Congress

LOL...the Republican talking points, endlessly repeated.

Not really. The majority of the voters in this country believe Trump is a danger to our constitution and democracy. The will of the people is to impeach Trump and remove him. Unfortunately for the country, Republicans control the Senate and will vote to keep this criminal destroyer of democracy sitting in the Rooski Oval Office.

The date and time of the call is crucially important, as is total word count vs time. One needs to be able to calculate words per minute and compare that against average wpm in similar settings in things said by that person.

What does impeachment have to do with people who elected him in 2016? He committed his impeachable acts in 2019 (if you ignore all of the others prior to that).

sorry but three heavily vetted progressive/feminist "scholars" don't get to change what the constitution says.

How do you know the majority of voters want him impeached? Just because your tribal members do doesn't mean the majority wants it. In any event, that is not a basis for impeachment.

I see you fit in with the other Trump supporters. Low on facts, high on emotion.

Well this three have spent decades not only studying the Constitution it all the letters and parts from the authors.

How many times have you read it?

I love how right wingers think they know more than actual scholars...

You just can't fathom that there's a majority in this country that wants him out, and the sooner the better. You are also in a mind-bubble created by Fox believing you're the power that's going to sweep him right into the white house for another 4 years. You're sadly mistaken. Thankfully, this country still has some people that are faithful to the rule of law and in particular when it applies to our president. This man doesn't follow any rules but those he makes up himself. So no, you are not in the majority no matter what kind of Trump mind-butter they stuff in your ears.

This is an excellent point. Trump got my vote and it was his behavior after I made that vote that made me have regret and realize what a monumental mistake I made. In fact, this entire presidency had made me do a lot of re-evaluations on where I am politically. Definitely not the type of politics my grandparents and parents knew.

This is why we have checks and balances. The fact that trump got his 'Roy Cohn' Attorney General loyal only to him personally lets him be above the law. We really need to revisit how that works in our system. It's been an issue over and over, under Nixon, Reagan, Bush and now trump.

Congress is abusing its power on a quest to destroy the will of the people.

Let's break down this idiotic talking point.

1. A Democratic House engaging in oversight was the will of people.

2. The Republican party has actually won the popular vote in a President election only a single time in the last 30 years, and 2016 was not one of them.

LOL...the Republican talking points, endlessly repeated.

LOL... Epstein loyalist tactics, and deflections...

It's fun playing by your rules, isn't it?

Yeah, you can throw that lie around all you like. But it's really not finding any purchase at this point.

You're talking to someone who'd piss on the constitution, rather then actually abide by it.

Trump supporters continuing a long tradition of using whatever they’re accused against their political opponents, regardless of how stupid it is to do so.

With the current political climate I am quite happy that Pence told congress to get bent.

Despite how much these children are crying about Pence resisting this. They need to learn that he's well within his right to do so, until actually hit with a court order.

I think that this shows more and more that the worst of the left are more willing to destroy someone's personal rights and freedoms. Just to suit their own blind needs.

I hate when people make this assinine, emotional and laughably ignorant argument.

Does Article II, Sec. 4 of the US Constitution seek to destroy the will of the people when it lays out the process of impeachment?

The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.

Did that also happen in 1974 when Nixon was impeached because of Watergate? Did it happen in 1998 when the GOP impeached Clinton for consensual sex or was it different then?

Is blatant hypocrisy now a noble goal in the GOP and other claimed conservatives?

No President Pelosi. How tragic for the cult.
