What will everyone do when Trump is no longer president?

Trump will get a third term

The long term plan is just to wait out the boomers. Eventually we can rebuild the middle class. In the short term nothing really changes. I imagine news will get a little more boring, but the same type of crap will happen Trump or not.

A whole bunch of republicans will definitely go back to saying that Christian and family values are important to them again. And they will be against lying again. And they will be against politicians acting like fools on social media again.

And you know what? The Civil War was un-Constitutional the 1st time around, as it will be the 2nd time around. But interesting that the racial overtones are consistent, even if the exact color of undesirable skin-tone has drifted.

These people are so irrational. What are they planning to do exactly? Trump leaves office, and they all show up in the street with their guns? Do they scream, “this is a Civil War,” and just start shooting innocent people?

They are crazy. There are too many crazy people in America in right now

I will have this to cuddle with.

I already have Play Dohs stocked up.

The first time I saw an advertisement for that, I thought it was a joke.

The commercial is so ridiculous. It looks like at SNL skit

Yep. You've got that right. And that's how we ended-up with Trump. He leads them on, and makes them crazier - while giving public license to crazy. It's a pretty screwed-up situation, that's going to take another election to rectify.

You don't understand when joking isn't joking. It's not 'serious' as in 'he's announcing his plan to refuse to leave office', but he is serious that he has no respect for the limit or the law, and the only thing preventing him from trying to do it if he wants is his being unable to get away with it. He's not kidding that that is his view. That's different than Reagan, who simply disagreed with the law and said so.

Joking is joking as in not serious. If you think Trump was serious about becoming president for life because he made a joke then I have nothing more to add to the conversation.

Well, we agree on that, because you don't understand how people like trump use phony 'joking' as a technique for saying things they want to say but can't get away with.

Say what you want, but Trump-derangement disorder is a real thing. It's the world's largest killer of dignity and rational discussion and you can see it right here.

So what happens when Trump is finally gone? Where will his obsessed haters go? What will they resort to so they can stay important and vent their miserable existence?

Yoga?

[FONT=Verdana,Arial,Tahoma,Calibri,Geneva,sans-serif]I restate what the elightened ones previously wrote - On 21 January 2025, I plan to watch Don Jr take his Oath of Office and then couple reruns on TDS (Trump Documentary Service).

That evening I expect to watch my favorite documentary - "Whigs, Democrats and Other Extinct Political Parties" and before bed perhaps a couple of the Hillary Parole Hearing Reruns.

As for the "haters" that have outpatient status, many will find refuge with the Libertarians.

All of the Trump TDS “anti-truthers” need to read more of the posts from their friends on the left. Many are down right scary if they were actually that radical in person. I certainly hope they aren’t.

One reason Trump will win, besides the economy, jobs + Jobs for politically neglected minorities, and pushing back at China, is many people are put off by the idea of being afraid to speak freely for fear of retribution from the left’s more excitable members.

To offer you all an olive branch, your opinions have been formed from listening tonthe lying of the likes of people like Adam Schiff and guests of CNN and MSNBC, and a print media that lies to you with impunity. Eventually the truth will become evident if not soon, then when Durhams report is complete.

Save the “but you, but you, but you.” Just let it play out, don’t act out.

I feel Lindsay Graham is wrong to say he wants no witnesses. I want a cross examination of each and every one, and make them back up their stories or explain how they came to testify in the first place with no first hand knowledge. How do you swear someone in like that?

Someone needs to answer for torturing 355 million American. Better **** some proof or go home.

Remember - Dems may lose 2024 to these guys

Well, we agree on that, because you don't understand how people like trump use phony 'joking' as a technique for saying things they want to say but can't get away with.

Phony joking is what Trump's doing then? He was just joking but he really meant it. I wasn't acquainted with that type of joking glad you enlightened me.

I think you're offering this sincerely, so despite my disagreement I'm giving you a 'like'. But straight-up, I see every reason Trump should be impeached - fake news be damned.

The bigger question is what will those idiots attending his rallies do; go back to watching WrestleMania?

trump claimed he was 'joking' when he said, 'Russia, if you're listening, search for Hillary's e-mails'. The Mueller investigation found that within hours of his saying it, Russia actually launched a lot of activity to try to do just that. Just as they actually did hack the campaign's e-mails.

I like to joke a lot that's probably why I've gotten a few warnings on debatepolitics since I joined. One person's joke taken the wrong way can be twisted into another person's my personal space was just invaded. It's nuts I tell you hard to carry on a good conversation anymore.

I am a believer in justice.

I posit that when Durham and Barr are done, you will agree with me insofar as the Russia hoax and impeachment are concerned.

I just hope the democrats don’t conjure up another fiasco before the election.

He made the famous "Russia do you have the missing Hillary emails" statement on live TV at one of his massive televised events. It was a joke. It wasn't a secret coded message to Putin to put some kind of plan in action.

Joke as in "Hey Russia can you find the missing Hillary emails we'd really like to find them". Holy crap are Trump's jokes that far over the media's heads?

Fair enough.

But, we must be willing to differentiate between things done wrong by others, and things done wrong by Trump, and most importantly not conflate them. Durham's investigation and Trump's Ukraine actions are not related.

The issue usually isn't that the joke is 'taken the wrong way', but taken the right way as not really a joke. Back around the 70's, race 'jokes' were very popular, as a way for people to express their hate of races as the 'political correctness' began to punish them for it - though some wasn't hate. "Polish jokes" were enormously popular also - unintentionally nasty.

Jokes often - if not almost always - have a 'nugget of truth' aspect to them. In fact, humor is basically mostly about 'telling uncomfortable truths'.

It even goes back to the court jester, when Kings couldn't be criticized - except the jester could do it. Sort of.

That's often the 'humor' in jokes - the 'can you believe they said that but everyone is thinking it' type of 'joke'. And as the links I gave you show, trump uses it to get away with saying things.
