No one cares about Time. So pick your own nominee. The standard is "the person or group that had the greatest influence on US politics in 2019" This is not an award but a recognition of influence, good or bad.

Lets leave out all the obvious suspects like Trump or Pelosi out unless you have a unique reason.

How about Adam Schiff instead? Certainly no one else has caused the daily narrative as his obsession with Trump and willingness to use any means necessary to remove him.

I'll agree with Bernie Sanders. He's played a historic role in influencing the politics of the country and running the first campaign in history to have the most success with the most donations both in number and total amount in the environment of bad corrupt campaign financing of both parties, taking no large contributions - perhaps the biggest 'people's revolution' in history, despite the media blackout.

Wouldnt the media blackout indicate hes a non issue? What politics has he influenced? Moving the democrats left? If thats the case, why is Biden still ahead?

Changed the conversation around a plurality of topics, and single handedly pushed the overton window toward the centre after decades of the right wing shoving it further and further right.
