I'm rather new around here and was shocked when I saw it in another poster's signature. It just seemed like it must have been taken out of context in some way, right? Certainly there was more to it?

And then I went to go check for myself....and there it was in all of it's glory.

I'm not sure how someone makes a remark like that and is ever taken even remotely seriously by anyone on the forum again, regardless of ideology. Or how they would dare to claim they are some non partisan figure who votes across the aisle. Well, unless they are a troll and it's all part of some dumb game to them, which seems to be a growing trend and many political forums.

When you have a booming economy and continued growth in the markets, heres how you **** up an election thats 'yours to lose". Have a field of candidates that spent the first 4 debates talking about socialist/communist economic policies that will **** up the economy and spend more time talking about granting rights and benefits to illegal immigrants than you do about how you are going to continue strengthen the nation, bring in MORE jobs, secure the borders...you know...all the things a president is actually hired to do.

I mean, nothing that they have said is really communist or socialist, social democratic policies aren't socialism as they don't revolve around the State usurping means of production.

That aside, Trump has a very strong economy at the moment and that's a big boon to him. Though he seems vulnerable and any President before who had this economy would be untouchable. It just shows how much he is disliked that he trails in most polls even with this great economy. Should that economy go south, he'll be at an even larger disadvantage.

It COULD be more an indicator of a party and media that has been engaged in a nearly 4 year long hate fest that started when he became the front runner of the GOP during the primaries and has continued non stop, 24/7, on damn near every media outlet.

Remember...this is the same exact guy that hung out with democrats, that partied with the Clintons, that contributed to numerous democrat campaigns, that had a top viewed TV show, that was actually admired openly by many liberals and democrat party members...

and then he ran against them.

Trump has never changed. The fact of the matter is that the same people that have been engaged in their non stop hate orgy would be doing the same thing to Cruz or Rubio if they had won.
