The difficult position Republican treason puts Democrats in

I recognize wishing thinking.

As I watch the Ranking Member of the House Judiciary Committee this morning rant, I can grasp the difficult position Republican treason puts Democrats in.

The Republicans are in a wonderful position. The people on the left are too conditioned to recognize it.

Any laws, including the many trump has broken, and others that can be. I'm talking about the rule of law. I guess you've never heard of the Mueller report for a start, with many illegal acts, as confirmed by over a thousand DoJ officials.

"Rule of law"? What is that? I asked for a specific law he broke and you refuse to give it to me? Why?

When evidence is there, that's what happens.

No, they don't. They also don't get to throw out a president for breaking the law, because Republicans will vote not to. But you get to acquit one because you hate the rule of law. It should go to trial, but might not because Republicans want to hide the truth.

What law?

Treason?

Any treason committed in Washington DC is very much bipartisan in nature. A bipartisan majority just renewed the illegitimate Unpatriot Act last month. We've just been informed, again, that the government heads have been lying through their teeth about the Afghan war, just as they were lying through their teeth all those years ago about the Vietnam war.

After Republicans corruptly vote to not remove trump, imagine the next Democratic president in 2020 abuses their power for their personal benefit like trump did, and to cover up what they did refusing any subpoenas from Congress.

Republicans push to impeach the president, and Democrats are faced with the choice: do they refuse to uphold the law like Republicans did and they demanded, or do they adopt the rule that only Democrats are held accountable (by both parties), and Republicans are above the law because Republicans always vote for partisanship over the law? What do you think Democrats should do in that case?

My answer:

As disgusting as it is for Republicans to get away with abusing their power, do the right thing and vote to uphold the law. But there's definitely a case for not doing so.

I'm not sure how many times it needs to be pointed out for it to sink into our liberal friend's heads but Obama did exactly this when he and Holder refused subpoenas from Congress during Fast and Furious.

Apparently you would like to drag Obama's sorry ass back in to be charged with obstructing Congress since you are so worked up about this.

Only in the Democrat mind could you

Refuse to allow Republican witnesses
Refuse to allow the testimony of the Whistle Blower who started this
Refuse to allow the Republicans their minority day for questioning
Refuse to allow the accused representation for cross examination
Only provide witnesses who only presumed what happened
Have every witness who testified state under oath they have no knowledge of any crimes

Then call Republicans corrupt because they won't vote for your fake impeachment.

But the good news is, voters are making themselves heard as Trump is leading in 3 blue wall states. Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan. You know this Impeachment is a sham when during the process voters in Democrat strong holds don't buy it.

The answer isn’t an easy one, but it is simple. If an impeachable act is committed, impeachment is the remedy.

When evidence just isn't there, that's what happens.

You see, they don't get to throw out a president because of hate. Besides you better hope it doesn't go trial.

I do hope it goes to the trial, frankly.

I do hope it goes to the trial, frankly.

I sure hope so. In a REAL trial, Trump gets to call his own witnesses through the Republicans.

No more of this hiding the ball and searching for far left radicals pontificating on things that aren't in the constitution.

Since hearsay is not admissible, the Democrats won't have even one witness

That’s very Noble l of you. But we all know the dems will do exactly like the republicans, and base those decisions on what is best politically. If a dem president does something that turns the public strong enough against him, the dems will throw him under the bus, if the dem president remains popular in spite of abuses, they will pretend its a non issue and plow ahead.

Trump had every chance to be involved, and chose not to. Trump could have sent witnesses, but exerted privilege.

Hearsay? LOL.

Stop going all orwellian on me, it won't work.

You're right to be concerned for the next Democrat who sits in the White House.

Every minute of their administration will be served in Hell, thanks to the bar the Dems set.

Biden is as good as impeached already for graft in Ukraine, now he getting all handsy with children. Why are all democrats dishonest perverts?

If in fact any of the points you referenced have merit, the GOP can avail themselves of the Judiciary branch. Right now the Supreme court leans conservative.

Your notion that Trump leads in PA, MI and WI relies on suspect sources. The sources I put stock in do not have Trump leading in PA and MI; WI remains a toss up.

TDS is an addiction. These fools don’t understand that a Senate trial allows Republicans to call their own witnesses. The democrats are going to be ripped to confetti. Then just to drive the final nail in their coffin, Druhams report comes out mid to late summer, just in time to have some of the FBI/DNC players to be on trial during the election.

Maybe we'll finally be able to see all that rock solid evidence Schiff told us about on CNN regarding Trump/Russia collusion.
Can't wait for that. No way in hell Schiff is a lying sack of excrement, right Dems?

;)

Yep. Joe Biden, his son, Schiff, Chalupa will all be called to testify including Schiff's staff, the whistleblower and his attorney. These guys don't realize here that the witnesses to date were hand picked according to the level of their hatred of Trump and they were carefully screened and coached as to what to say and what not to say. Elitist constitutional lawyers won't be there to say what Schiff instructed them to say.

Wrong. Some is, some isn't.

this is gonna be:

"Be careful what you wish for" This evil clown Schiff can bang a gavel and exclude witnesses that Republicans wanted in HIS kangaroo court. He will just be a witness in the REAL trial and he better wear a diaper for that load he is going to have when he is forced to answer questions

False.

You would consider Newsweek and USA Today suspect sources?

Donald Trump Beats Every Democrat Frontrunner In Three Key Battleground States Amid Impeachment: Poll

President Trump could win 2020 battleground states, poll finds

"Rule of law"? What is that? I asked for a specific law he broke and you refuse to give it to me? Why?

The fact you ask what the rule of law says a lot about you. The list of laws he's broken is very long - you can start with the emoluments clause of the constitution.

I mean, when a Democrat eventually pulls this same stunt (and they will, because the Republicans are going to reward this behavior and once you reward corruption and abuse, it only gets worse), then the Republicans will be outraged and talk about how it's a violation of the powers of office and unbecoming of the President, and damaging to our image and our abilities, and blah blah blah.

But only when the other side does it will they be outraged.

You're right that could happen.

The question is, should Democrats give Republicans payback and refuse to hold the Democrat accountable to the law like Republicans are doing, or should they let only Democratic presidents be held to a different standard so only Republicans get away with ignoring the law?
