Tommy picked the wrong time to sexually assault someone. He's certainly having a rough week. It's one thing to work in a cubicle but this idiot is a salesman. At least he'll have something to talk about when trying to sell Copenhagen, Skoal or whatever brand of dip sells best in the area. I'm guessing he won't be a Scout leader and youth minister much longer.

You don't know me or how I voted. And by the way, talking about doing something is actually not the same as doing something. The topic here is a runner who did something, not a President you don't like who talked about it.

Why is that? Sexual harassment and assault of women is endemic in North Korea. On the contrary, the reporter is the one who is lucky she isn’t in North Korea because she wouldn’t be allowed to speak out against the assault that happened to her.

That's more than some rapists get. I'm picturing him having a record and a fine or a small amount of jail time. He needs to at least be charged; I'm annoyed that there's doubt about whether he will be.

Would you be happy with 30 or 45 days?

I'm sure that the senior minister and congregation will write letters to the judge begging for leniency because of his supposedly sincere religious beliefs if he is charged and then convicted.
 
Unwanted contact should not be acceptable. Don't grab women by the *****. Don't slap an ass as you pass. Don't rub a woman's shoulders and sniff her hair. Don't take photos of yourself grabbing a woman's breast.
Unfortunately we live in a world were people defend these actions qhen their guy does it.

Oh I understand. I also understand that many of the younger generation are way to sensitive.
If you read some of my other posts I stated pretty much that the swat was out of line. The guy has been banned from future events. imo, the prank does not deserve to be a criminal matter. If the reporter is so bent out of shape, she should sue as a civil matter. Maybe she would collect or maybe she would end up with a big lawyer bill.

If it were a criminal matter, wouldn't it be a misdemeanor?

I think the reporter should do what she's comfortable doing and what her attorney advises. Whether she wants this or not, her 15 minutes have begun.

Every situation is different, but I'm just tired in general of overreaction and sometimes hysteria over every single thing. Every transgression should ruin someone's career and/or life. Tired of it.
