[W:142] Female Reporter Swatted on Rear While On Air, Screams Workplace Assault. Oh Boo Hoo.

Yes yes, we're been well aware that many in the Trump base like to brag to each other in locker rooms about sexually assaulting women. Apparently it makes them feel more manly.

That's the thing...for guys like this, having OTHER GUYS THINK they have sexual prowess is much more important than actually HAVING sexual prowess. Most of them deep down don't give a rat's ass about actually being good in the sack, just as long as other guys THINK they are.

Do other WOMEN think they are any good?
Believe me, if you know how women can get when they're together and feeling their cheerios, if the guy really IS good in the sack, the WORD DOES GET OUT, only it gets out very discreetly most of the time, and not in public.
It gets whispered, there are screams and giggles, but most people don't have a clue what's being said.
But trust me, the word IS getting out.

But that's not even a concern for guys like this, guys like Clarence, guys like Trump, guys like Anthony Weiner, Harvey Weinstein, etc.
All they're concerned about is other men BELIEVING that they are a stud, a manly man.
It's the public perception by other MEN that they're dazzled by.
For them, that's what's important.
In the real world, if a guy is really that good, all other men in a fifty mile radius might not have a clue but the women will all know pretty quickly.

It's pretty pathetic that in a world full of adult men, about half of them still act as if they're little brats in the schoolyard.

TV reporter smacked on bottom during live broadcast: ‘You violated, objectified and embarrassed me’

A TV reporter said she was left “violated” and “embarrassed” after being smacked on the bottom during a live broadcast.
Alex Bozarjian, of WSAV News, was reporting roadside from a 10km race in Savannah, Georgia, when a male participant ran up behind and struck her.
Ms Bozarjian appeared visibly shocked in footage of the incident as streams of runners continued to pass her on Savannah Bridge.
She later condemned the runner, saying: “To the man who smacked my butt on live TV this morning: you violated, objectified, and embarrassed me.
“No woman should EVER have to put up with this at work or anywhere!”

OK, some older guy swatted her on her bottom THROUGH HER RAINCOAT. Oh boo hoo. It was done in fun and jocularity. Nobody was remotely hurt. She wasn't hurt. This is nothing more than leftist PC fake outrage garbage. 30 years ago, this wouldn't have been a story. And we are supposed to be so outraged at this 'predator' we watch the videos to track down this assaulter, so we can get him fired from his job, maybe get him arrested on assault charges.

Come on, man. The guy was being playful. Any girl who grew up with brothers has had stuff like this done to them 1000 times. And it was through a hard plastic raincoat for goodness sake. Maybe it was a little too familiar, maybe the guy was a bit boisterous, I don't know. It's just time to lighten up.

I myself wouldn't do it, because I'm not the backslapping sort. But to crucify this guy for it? Give me a break. And I would say if the girl is really worried about objectification, she should go back to her old high school and raise hell about them handing out condoms to unmarried teenage kids. Talk about objectification!! Also, if you don't want odd stuff happening to you from time to time, don't be a reporter. It used to be if a reporter girl was doing a piece and a passerby kissed her on the cheek, she laughed it off. Took it as a compliment. No big deal. Now a guy gets sentenced for it

Man who kissed reporter identified, charged with harassment - ABC News

I always go back to the iconic 1945 photo of a sailor kissing a random woman on V-J Day. People loved it for years. Today, the poor guy would be arrested and locked up.

I am a fsr right conservative, and I Disagree strongly here.

If am in target shopping with my wife and someone swats her arse just for fun, I might kick them in the nutts just for fun.

He needs to be shamed for this, possibly fined. Jail time woukd be silly of course.

You people always have to misrepresent what went on. Then you build your case off that strawman.

Says the guy who continually yells Marxist and George Soros at every opportunity. :lamo

Neighbor's dog pee-peeing on your prize azaleas?
It's GEORGE SOROS' FAULT!!!!

Chewing gum in your hair?
MARXISTS!!!

Car won't start?
Commies!!

Yeah, strawman is a word that actually has a specific meaning, and you don't have even the most tenuous grasp of it.

Are you really this naive?

Bravado would be my guess, but still, bravado is not evidence of an actual sexual assault.
Having an aggressive personality, blabbing off the cuff in a vulgar braggadocios manner is not evidence of a sex crime.

That's quite a defense.

"Blabbing off the cuff in a vulgar braggadocious manner" might also be called a confession.

Write it off. Not because it makes sense, but because if you don't it would require action.

Under Georgia law, you can be prosecuted for intentional physical contact of an insulting or provoking nature, which this definitely was. Do you take issue with the Georgia definition of battery?

i love that they start threads like this. it proves what i've been saying about them (and not just on this topic) since the 1970s.

In the 1970s, few would have batted an eye over this. I doubt it would have made the news.

And Trump is NOT the topic of this thread.

Any male who conducts their interactions with females in a manner like this IS the subject of this thread.
The fact that they may be a public person doesn't change the fact that they are "men behaving badly".

If somebody does that to my wife right now, yes it would be a problem for me too. If she's a reporter and somebody does it this like this guy did, it's different.

Yea but this opens the door. Suppose everybody coming by thought it was fun to smack her?

I agree it’s not a big deal. But it is a deal. People should be able to violate another’s body like that. It saves us he trouble ofmdrawing some arbitrary line when it becomes a bit more creepy or distasteful.

If an old lady swatted me on the behind in a jocular manner, I'd laugh it off. It would be ridiculous to take it seriously. Again, let's save the outrage for the outrageous.

Your reaction is your right, but you shouldn't assume everyone should take it the same way. I don't appreciate strangers assuming that level of familiarity with me regardless of gender; similarly, the reporter has every right to express her discontent at being treated that way. Good manners goes a long way.

In the 1970s, few would have batted an eye over this. I doubt it would have made the news.

it was racism more in the 70s. now people feel the need to start threads about how it's not a big deal that some guy's daughter/wife/girlfriend got swatted on the rump.

please. don't stop posting this stuff.

As we have been warned, the thread isn't about Trump.

Have a good one...

Then I suppose we can continue going back in time to when it was fine for men to treat women as sexual objects in the office as well, yes? Progress changes societal norms, and we've experienced quite a few changes over the last several decades.

100% agree. Trump was talking in a lockerroom type manner to another men. Guys do that sometimes. Not meant for everyone's ears. And it certainly doesn't mean he actually committed the act.

This is what's so pathetic...not meant for everyone's ears because it's only important that other MEN hear it.
The ritual consists of "me big studly man" and the other men swooning and kow-towing.

The real stud isn't saying a goddamn word, not even a whisper.
He's the guy off in the corner with the big smile, and he's shaking his head and putting the "Ssssshhhh" finger to his lips.
A real stud never tells tales outside.

Why is it important for a man to impress other men with regard to his sexuality unless the thought of other men being impressed turns him on?

The same guys are, "if a gay guy touches my ass, I'll kill him!"

I'm shocked that elderly white men who support Trump have no issue with putting their hands on women without consent.

That doesn't make it right. Fifty years ago women were forced to live in a patriarchal male dominated society. Even rape victims were often blamed for their own rapes because of the provocative clothing they chose to wear.

My generation changed all this...

Yes yes, we're been well aware that many in the Trump base like to brag to each other in locker rooms about sexually assaulting women. Apparently it makes them feel more manly.

Apparently men like them are more aroused by other MEN thinking they're manly than they would be about other WOMEN thinking so.
I just don't get it.
I wouldn't want a single guy on the entire PLANET to know if I was a big hunk of studly.
Why? The only thing that's in it is that some of the more insecure ones now want to start some ****.

Nope sorry, I just cannot comprehend the value of other MEN knowing I am impressive in the bedroom.
I want WOMEN to know.

I'd be happier if all the men think I'm just some average schlub who can barely get any...small potatoes.
Now that...that right there would be funny as Hell.

So by your viewpoint.....jail time and fines is good for you for assaulting someone else. Can't have it both ways.

In the 1970's? You must have been asleep then, because we covered a lot of ground.
I guess when you woke up, equality felt like oppression to you.

The only other person I've ever heard say 'terlit' is Archie Bunker.

The only person YOU have ever heard.
Who made you the expert?

If you don't know what a New Yorker sounds like, that's your problem.

In my opinion he is guilty of battery.

I would not go that far but that is a more realistic conclusion than he sexually assaulted her...

Under Georgia law battery can be any intentional contact of an insulting or provoking nature, and I believe this definitely qualifies as such.
