Giuliani just confessed to the crime. He also revealed something bigger.

As I write this post, Rudy Giuliani is in Ukraine conducting filmed interviews with at least 5 of the scummiest and corrupt fired former prosecutors Ukraine has to offer. Rudy is putting together a "disinformation documentary" that will be shown on Trumps favorite One America News Network (OAN). He is also working with a conspiricist (Andrei Telizhenko) to dig for misspent US funds in Ukraine. Odd that Rudy has no plans to dig for any misspent US funds in Israel or Egypt. To add a cherry topping to this chuckle-cake, Rudy met with Telizhenko in the cigar-bar of the Premier Palace Hotel in Kyiv, which is owned by close Putin ally and Russian oligarch Alexander Babakov. The hotel is known as a den for Kremlin agents. (Babakov graduated from the KGB Academy in Soviet Russia).

Yeah, I'm not holding my breath. Even if he did, Barr would likely do everything he could to deep-six it.

That's why Trump hired him.

But Barr would certainly accept any evidence Rudy has if it helps Trump. Even if it's only 'hearsay' evidence.

Apparently, the GOP doesn't think it needs investigating either.

The GOP controls the Senate.
It only takes a majority of a single committee to open a congressional investigation.

If the GOP actually wanted this investigated, there would be an investigation already.

Just food for thought, fwiw.

The Zelensky administration was brand new and it's completely reasonable that Trump would want to ensure that his administration would deal with their extensive history of political corruption. The Biden situation was, without question, a matter of concern along those lines. Yovanovitch testified that the Obama State Department had prepped her SPECIFICALLY on that situation. That the Obama administration chose not to investigate it should not preclude the Trump administration from doing so when they had the opportunity.

It's not about "dirt". The information regarding the Bidens in Ukraine was public knowledge. If Trump wanted "dirt" he could have cited Politico or one of the others outlets that wrote about the issue. If, however, he wanted to see if Zelensky was really going to stand by his campaign promises it was a good place go.

5 corrupt prosecutors...

A conspiracy theorist...

A meeting with said conspiracy theorist at the cigar bar of a hotel owned by a Russian oligarch....

No way in hel that the information from these sources are clean.

I guess I'm missing the significance. If there is evidence that Biden was involved with corrupt acts in Ukraine then that should be investigated. I mean, presumed corrupt acts by Trump are being investigated and might impact the 2020 election, right?

Biden announced his corruption but we're all supposed to ignore that and look at the specious nonsense claimed about Trump. It was rather comical watching Quid Pro Joe come unglued at that campaign event in Iowa yesterday. Called the voter fat and old. I thought these libs were all against that sort of thing. Kudos to the 83 year old voter for calling out this corrupt political fossil and big mouth.

Democrats basically don't even think the people who choose not to support them are human. That's why they refer to us as "deplorables" and "trumpettes" and such. Basically, as far as Democrats are concerned you're either with them or you're against them and if you're against them then there is nothing beyond the pale they can do to insure that your vote doesn't go to someone else.

Trump_DoJ and the Senate can start investigating whenever they decide it's a good idea.
Just any second now they will be getting ready to begin preparations to be fixing to lay the groundwork for the start of the initiating steps.
... any minute now ...

Shirley, they won't leave Trump twisting in the wind like that.
Shirley, one or the other of them will put their money where their mouth is an finally get around to doing something about this extremely grave matter that confronts the US — politicians' kids getting jobs they ain't qualified for.

It's such an important matter that the Senate is almost ready to start thinking about whether or not they should consider thinking about opening an investigation.

I thought this was about getting information from Ukraine.
No?
It's just about testing Zelenskiy to see if Zelenskiy would do Trump a favor, though?

Exactly. They have a barely concealed, visceral hate for anyone who questions their sketchy claims, half baked ideas and arrogant air of superiority. They get extremely upset contemplating that there are millions and millions of people out there whom they haven't been able to brainwash and who see right through their dangerous policies and bald faced power seeking. Next November ought to be a great show. I can hear the primal screams already.

Trump_DoJ and the Senate are "ignoring" Biden's "corruption" and have been ignoring it for years now.

How do you reconcile that

1. This alleged corruption never concerned the GOP until Biden announced his candidacy with polls showing that he could defeat Trump?
2. Trump wanted it publicly announced, which would tip-off those being investigated?
3. He Insisted that a country he feels is too corrupt to receive foreign aid should investigate a US citizen?

It doesn't add up to anything more than a sham to aid Trump's re-election campaign.

Because he clearly tried to force a country to corrupt our electoral process, after inviting one to do it in the last election.

You guys place tyranny over democracy. You have earned any scorn that you are feeling.

Any chance you can give us a brief description of the opinion in the article? Sites with a paywall are rather difficult to access for those of us that don't really feel like subscribing to that site, and without context it's a bit of a challenge to properly discuss whatever issue it is you have in mind.

Let me help you. It's all a lie, a hoax, a coup to overthrow trump. Hope that helps.

Trump_DoJ and the Senate are "ignoring" Biden's "corruption" and have been ignoring it for years now.

It apparently never mattered to them until they saw political capital in it.

Now Trump is openly telling Ukraine, through his personal lawyer, no less, that they may lose foreign aid unless they investigate Biden.

It's utterly corrupt, and Republicans support it.

? We all watched trump ask russia for help in 2016, russia if you're listening. Then he went on tv and asked the ukraine to investigate the bidens and if that wasn't enough he then asked china to investigate the bidens and you say presumed corrupt acts by trump.

On the other hand a rumor started by russia about the bidens absolutely deserves to be looked into according to folks on the right. Sad.

What rumor about Biden was started by Russia? Biden said what he said H Biden worked where he worked.
Meanwhile, we of course had spent about three years in national catharsis over a rumor started by Russia that Trump was conspiring with Russia.

Some of the sleazy rif-raff in Ukraine that Rudy Colludy is paying for conspiracy tales.

Andrei Telizhenko is wearing the checkered shirt.

Rudy meeting with Andrii Derkach in Kyiv.

In 1993, Derkach graduated with a law degree from the Academy of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation (KGB/FSB) in Moscow.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize Giuliani is engaging with known corrupt individuals and pro-Russia agents.

In other words, why should we trust anything that comes from Guliani’s associates

I love you guys. Trump needs to be investigated for anything that he might have so much as thought of doing but Biden is to get a free pass even when his own people have expressed concern over a given situation. "I'll have a standard. In fact, make it a double!"

Take off the cult glasses. Biden didn't do anything wrong, but you still believe silly conspiracy theories....

Trump_DoJ and the Senate are "ignoring" Biden's "corruption" and have been ignoring it for years now.

Maybe after the election that will change. It appears that running for the Dem nomination confers legal immunity on people.

No, Biden's hypocrisy became a topic once this specious claim about Trump and Ukraine was trotted out as Act II to the Mueller failure. If you're going to claim that Trump committed a quid pro quo, it is best not to nominate a guy who publicly bragged about his own one in the same country.

Also, the US has no jurisdiction to investigate goings on in Ukraine concerning Biden. The Ukrainians rightly have to do that and that is all that Trump requested. Plus, the gist of his request concerned the 2016 election, not Biden. Yet, the Dems glom onto Biden as if he was the topic. He wasn't.

You can claim this all day but you have no facts, evidence or witnesses and you're afraid to bring forth the guy who made the original complaint. Case dismissed.

Corruption by the left is OK.

Ukraine Prosecutor Says No Evidence of Wrongdoing by Bidens

Joe Biden and son Hunter cleared of wrongdoing by Ukraine prosecutor

What in fact you actually want, is to have Ukrainian prosecutors keep investigating the Bidens until you get the result you want.

This is why Ambassador Yovanovitch had to go. She would never go along with the above scheme.
