Nothing More Needs to be Said. Pelosi outlines exactly what Trump has done and she says it exactly how it is and why our forefathers built the Constitution with separation of powers (3 branches of Government and checks and balances) to address this issue.

Simply stated, this impeachment is what the Constitution calls for.

Are you kidding me? How about not continuing to leave Americans in limbo and make a gaddam declarative sentence for once, Pelosi?
What do we know? They are "proceeding".
WTF does that even mean?
We are less than one year out from a Presidential election, and Democrats are holding Americans and their vote by the short and curlies.

This is not "democracy". This is Demcrats abusing their Constitutional powers and attempting to influence the 2020 election.
They want to be in power and will do and abuse anything to get it.

Pelosi in a nutshell:

I do not support voting for articles of impeachment yet.

Bolton has to come testify.

The administration and its officials need to be forced to cough up documents first.

This will not work.

This is no "democracy".

As the saying goes.,.

"****, or get off the pot."

If the democrats think they have enough then they can vote for it. I support impeachment and removal over this. However, the 1.8% spread in favor of my perspective is concerning, meaning the democrats SHOULD take their foot off the gas, and get some more things in line. More court cases ruling against Trump (even though the precident is there on obstruction); more testimony from the likes of Bolton, subpoena for Pompeo AND BARR to testify.

The rot in this administration is thorough. Shouldn't be hard. The only obstacle is an "originalist" court.

Translation, won't impeach till after he wins a second term.

Mistake. Either do it, or don't.

Hmm no, I disagree. I think these folks need to be on record as taking the 5th or whatever, why should we speed through this?

I agree with you.

Lies combined with desperately seeking to form a totalitarian federal police state on behalf of the richest people on earth who own the MSM, press, Internet and destroyed the liberal American Democratic Party to replace it with the progressive-Fascist Democratic Party is not a constitutional basis for impeachment.

Democrats have thrown away their Nixon card of a post-election impeachment, leaving no option to try to pursue impeachment after the election if the President wins short of openly declaring themselves their next anarchy against the Constitutional government of the United States following their seditious Civil War anarchy.

Procedurally, academically, yes they absolutely should wait. They should allow the Executive Privilege claims to play out in court and they should review those documents and testimonies as available and enforce their subpoena of Giuliani etc. In other words, they should build a case of hard evidence against the President. BUT that will take a long time and if Trump wins re-election in the interim then it loses all legitimacy and the whole thing goes down the tubes.

Yes. It's all spelled out in the Constitution and part of the process is the Senate needing a 2/3's vote to remove the president from office. Will you accept the results of the Senate following the Constitution? And, will you accept the new precedent that the House can now partisanly investigate the president trying to find a crime and then when the crime is found, impeach the president? Remember when you thought Harry Reid was cute and showed us how to do the nuclear option and it backfired badly on him to bite all Democrats in the ass? Is that really the precedent you want to set regarding the Constitution giving Congress the absolute power of oversight and to check the powers of the presidency by using impeachment as a political tool?

The Dems don't have an electable candidate and this is the best play for them.
It's all just political games. A stupid waste of time.

Then maybe they should work for more than 15 weeks out of the year.

Your reply suggest you do not believe in the Constitution

I disagree. Because frankly, at this stage, no one will believe the outcome of 2020. Anti-Trump folks will claim Trump abused his office to damage his opponent. Pro Trump people will claim Trump was shackled by a partisan mob and fictitious scandals.

No one is going to believe the outcome either way.

It would be nice if we could get the WH to stop obstructing and if Bolton testified. I don't think it would change anything in the end. No matter what, the GOP-Partisans are in defend mode and they won't listen to anything.

Well, she went somewhere I really didn't expect. She LITERALLY called for revolution. I have to wonder if she actually understands what she just said.

No, they wont. And they look like total idiots, slamming their fists, shouting, spewing conspiracy and constant gamey angle shooting on rules.

It's completely childish.

When only one party exclusively votes for impeachment, its a political stunt. Impeachment is not a weapon that a single party can use to remove a president. When all your witnesses are testifying to what they presume, and you can't convince a single opposing party congressman or Senator of a crime, you don't have an impeachment, you have a coup d'état.

If Democrats are dumb enough to vote for Impeachment under these conditions then they will have to deal with the malice of that decision for decades. Not to mention putting control of calling witnesses squarely in the hands of the opposing party meaning the Whistle Blower, Schiff, and many others will be called to testify.

Never in our history has an impeachment been tried without support of both parties. That in itself tells you everything you need to know.

We ALL know that the Senate will not vote to impeach because of partisanship (not to mention corruption) in favor of Trump). Nonetheless, the American public will get to SEE what Trump is all about and the judgment against Trump will, come in November when they vote him out. At that time, he will not have the Senate to bail him out and he will get indicted and probably sent to jail.

I totally agree with what the House is doing in protecting the constitution. Nonetheless, this will not be the first time that the judge (the Republican Senate) will be paid off to rule against the prosecution.

Hey, corruption exists and that will be shown here as well.

By the same token, I would not be surprised if a few of the Republican Senators vote to impeach. When push comes to shove, some will not want to go down in history as being lackeys to Trump.

Sorry to disappoint you, inasmuch as I do not see this being done as a political tool. I see this as the Constitution being followed in order to prevent a Monarch from trying to assume the power he is trying to get. That is why the Constitution was written this way.

Evidently, you do not support the Constitution and the powers they bestow to the House, the Senate and the Executive branch. The House is doing what they need to do. Trump is trying to bring down or at least evade the Constitution. He is a liar! He vowed to protect the Constitution and he lied.
