GOP Intelligence Committee Chairman Refuses To Knock Down Ukraine Conspiracy Theory | HuffPost
It is like the whole GOP has gone crazy and that they will do anything. believe anything to protect Trump. Now they have all gotten behind it was Ukraine that interfered with our elections, even though all of our intelligence agencies and all of our allies know it was the Russians. I am so flabbergasted by what they are doing and saying that it is hard to even argue with such stupidity. The idea that a small poor country did everything we know the Russians did is hard enough to believe, but to use Russian talking points boggles the mind. The party that supposedly hates the "Commies" is now spouting their talking points to save this president makes me wonder if any of them have any morals or love of this country left in them. I guess they have gone through all of the other talking points and this is what is left, mouthing Russian ones.

1. How do you know the Ukraines did not attempt to influence the election?
2. When you say we know the Russians attempted to influence our elections, what are you basing that on?

You do know that Russia is no longer a communist country. Russia has elections. Russia has an executive branch, a legislative branch, and a judicial branch. Russia has a constitution and list of rights for it's citizens. Sound familiar.

Do I have to tell you that every intelligence agency in our government knows that the Russians were the ones, but then you would rather believe Trump as he for sure knows it was not the Russians because Putin told him so. Use your brain and THINK. Does Ukraine's have the finances and the ability to do all that the Russians did? Of course not, Ukraine has to ask us for money just to keep their country out of the hands of the Russians. Only idiots like the GOP Senators would believe it was Ukraine, although they probably do not believe it. They just say they do to stay in Trump's good graces so they can keep their jobs.

Oh my God, you believe that Russia has free elections. You do realize that anyone who runs against Putin and his party ends up in jail and guess who counts the votes in that country? You really see Russia is like the US. In that country everyone does as Putin says are they end up dead like those who have complained and then left the country. I do not think I have ever read an OP that is this far off the mark when it comes to truth.

Russia is a massively corrupt kleptocratic autocracy ruled by Vladimir Putin and populated with people that believe it is in their best interests as a country to support Putin's efforts to try to rob and steal Russia back to prominence. To their credit, they have swung their support to a President who is incomparable on the world stage as a judge of people and a manipulator of same (should be expected from a guy that is the output of the world's greatest Human Intelligence Agency) and who knows how to play a weak hand well. The old saying used to be that as long as a Russian got his allotment of vodka, he was happy. Guess that sort of ran out of steam.

I do wonder what actual election results would look like in Russia without the insanely widespread Putin ballot stuffing that occurs every election.

1. Financial Times, 08/28/2016

The Financial Times reported Ukraine attempted to intervene in the U.S. election.

2. Politico, 01/11/2017

Politico reported the Ukrainian government tried to help Hillary Clinton and undermine Trump.

3. Financial Times, 12/22/2016

The Financial Times reported Russia used Ukrainian technology to hack the DNC server in the 2016 election. Based on the reporting, it appears the technology used to hack the election was operated in eastern Ukraine.

4. Politico, 02/23/2017

In 2017, Politico reported that a Ukrainian parliamentarian attempted to contact Manafort claiming to have politically damaging information about Manafort as well as Trump.
“The undated communications, which are allegedly from the iPhone for Manafort’s daughter, include a text that appears to come from a Ukrainian parliamentarian named Serhiy Leschenko, seeking to reach her father, in which he claims to have politically damaging information about both Manafort and Trump,” Politico*

5. New York Times, 12/12/2018

Ukranian courts ruled that releasing information to Manafort about the 2016 U.S. election was illegal interference.
“Both lawmakers asserted that if the release of the slush fund information broke the law, then it should be viewed as an illegal effort to influence the United States presidential election in favor of Hillary Clinton by damaging the Trump campaign,” the New York Times reported.

As for our inteligence communities accusations against Russia, i sure would like to know what they are basimg thier conclussions on. Is it all bwsed on the DNC server that they were never given permission to check or is there more?

The Repugs have grown into their current posture. IMO, mainly because they were a minority party through most of the 20th century and have developed the means to get power even as a minority party and an almost unbelievable willingness to retain it at all costs. Now both major parties are minority parties. However, the Dems simply have not developed the same mind set nor skill set of the Repugs.

I cannot think of a single Repug on the Hill capable of deliberating and/or legislating outside of Sen Alexander. The rest of them just bluster and bellow and point to their trademark whatever it is:
- Collins, fastest talker on the planet
- Hurd, Mr Good Copy, Good Copy attempting to point out his military cred at every opportunity
- Jordan, Mr open collar, shirt sleeves, "just a regular guy"
- Nunes, card carrying idiot
- Panties always in a twist flip flop, flimflam Graham now joined by flip flop Sen Kennedy

They are all a bunch of pathetic frauds as public servants.

The problem we have at present is that the Dems know how to be public servants but don't know how to get elected. The Repugs do not care one wit about public service but do know how to get elected and are willing to do just about anything to get reelected.

What makes you think you know the truth about the Ukraine matter when you dont even know the truth about Trump's shortcomings?

Russia's IRA they spent hundreds of millions of dollars and a massive government run military hacking campaign Ukraine might have had one or two individuals who did a little dabbling but the two cannot be compared

Umm in case you missed it i just posted 5 e amples of the media linking the ukraines to meddling in our elections.

As far as the russian hacking goes i will ask again is that all based on crowdstrikes conclusion or is it based on something more?

If the people are not willing to fight for their freedom they deserve the government they have. If all this ballot stuffing is happening and the people are OK with it then they have what they deserve. You reap what you sow.

The people who own our media don't also own both parties and determine elections. Ted Kennedy can cause a fatal accident not even bother to call for help or report it and this is acceptable behavior by our leaders. It looks like our leaders can kill as well and get away with it.

They cut taxes for the rich, handed over an economic crisis, withheld stimulus to a bare minimum and went around crying, "Failed stimulus." They filibustered education and other measures and wouldn't vote on minimum wage or highways bill, so I sent then Trump hoping it will all implode on them.

It was either Hillary or Trump and the good Lord couldn't do that to them so He went with Mike Pence instead of listening to me.
