SHould Bill Barr be investigated and impeached if OIG report is as expected?

I didn’t support Trump in 2016 and I won’t in 2020.

It would be really great if you could discuss the OP. You claim it’s been proven Barr lied to Congress about “spying”, can you show that proof? Should he be impeached if he did lie?

I think the whole concept of whataboutism is rather stupid, but since I’m not talking about Obama the whole point of bringing him up makes no sense.

So to get back on topic, can you prove Barr lied? If he did should he be impeached?

He said there was spying going on and there wasn't. Clearly a lie. Are you having some problems reading today by chance? I worry your vision might be going.

And it's called a comparison, which you did so fantastically proving how hypocritical your comments are. I was using YOUR logic on lying and you couldn't apply it without your comments being hypocritical.

No, I just had my yearly eye exam and my eyesight is pretty much the same as last year.

Maybe you should look up the definition of the word lie. Being wrong isn’t lying, even if it’s someone you hate. It should also be pointed out that the IG report hasn’t been released yet, so know one knows anything right now.

I've never heard that Adam Schiff claimed he had evidence that Trump is a planted agent, although he is most definitely under the influence of foreign powers, I don't think there's any clear evidence of that, only multiple indications he is.

So when did Adam Schiff claim that? Can you please post a link?

Now you’re being silly. I’m not supporting Barr except to point out the basic fact that the word “lie” has a very specific definition, and unless someone can show that he definitively knew what he said was wrong, it doesn’t meet that definition.

Sorry, but if it walks like a duck and sounds like a duck, it probably is a duck. I do not think Trump is a Russian "plant", but Trump certainly seems to owe something to Putin and Russia that keeps him in line. If that is not true, then I wonder why everything Trump does leads back to Russia.

I thought telling something that is not true is a lie. You can lie by commission or by omission. Barr knew what he was saying was not the truth.

What makes anyone think the IG is going to say no spying by the FBI?

The IG is investigating FISA abuse. There very well could be spying that was not associated with FISA abuse.

Barr is investigating much more than FISA abuse. There very well could be spying by others in the FBI or by other agencies...such as the CIA, the State Department, etc.

Barr has, from the beginning, maintained that spying could be justified...depending upon the predicate. The IG didn't investigate the predicate.


Bottom line...don't jump the gun, especially based on leaks of parts of a draft report by unnamed persons.

Wait for the IG report. Wait for the Barr report.

Then...if you are extremely lucky...you might be able to spout hyperbole about Barr lying...or something.

I'm glad you finally admitted that Obama didn't lie and he was just wrong. Thank you for agreeing that Obama was an honest president never lying, although wrong at times.
