How is that Nobel Peace Prize coming along, Trump?

Time Is Running Out for Trump'''s North Korean Diplomacy, Analysts Say

LOL

Now, it's North Korea that is issuing an ultimatum. Well done, Trump!
While i appriciate the eagerness some have for declaring everything Trump touches as a failure, but perhaps it might be prudent for them to wait until this chapter in our relationship plays itself out.

NK can sabre rattle all they want but unless they offer an acceptable concession, the sanctions should remain in effect. The fact that NK is issuing an ultimatum could be an indication that they are desperate and on the verge of folding. This may be a last ditch effort by them.

If they do esculate things by resuming testing again, Trump should make it clear that sanctions will be increased at the minimum and if warranted they may find themselves subjected to military retailation measures.

The biggest challenge i think Trump is facing is getting China and Russia mostly but also to a lesser extent Germany and France too; he needs to get all 4 of them to join the rest of us with enforcing crippling sanctions on NK.

I have said from the begining and still maintain that the only way NK will surrender their weapons peacefully is by placing sanctions that are so devestating to their economy that the citizens are gonna starve to death and it causes catrosphic infastructure failures. Im skeptical if the public has the stomach to support meausers that extreme.

Hey but have your fun mocking Trump as if this is an easily obtainable goal. At least he is making an effort.

DPRK just lobbed a couple more missiles around, yesterday. Yet in another thread I had a Trump poster exclaim Trump has a long record of success in office. But the poster claims he didn't want to list the accomplishments for me, because he says he listed them earlier but the recipient then didn't accept the claims as valid. They ya' go! Can't make it up.

I think its a fair question to ask. I could list a handful of successes but im not sure you would view them as such because of your ideological differences. For instance he got us out of the paris agreement and i dont think you would view that as a sucess but I do.

It would be easier to accept this, if Trump didn't loudly proclaim he solved everything with one short meeting with Kim. Trump causes his own problems. He's a sociopathic liar & blow-hard. Due to this, most can't resist sticking it back to him in the way he does it to us. Why should he have all the fun? Nobody likes a braggart bully.

I actually agree with your point on this. It was foolhardy of him to proclaim sucess so prematurely. I even admitted that at the time. He did have some sucess but not to the degree he tooted his own horn.

Look, the North Korean regime couldn't care less if their people starve. They've starved their people before, multiple times. From the beginning I thought that all the Trump fanfare was premature and idiotic because KJU would NEVER relinquish his nukes (look at what happened to Ukraine when they relinquished theirs; KJU who is not stupid, knows it very well) and would end up exposing Trump as a fool. And no, at this point Trump is not likely to have an appetite for military intervention, because it would be the ultimate failure for him, who touts himself as the great negotiator. And we all know that for Trump, actually accomplishing something important for the region, for America, or for world peace is way down the line as compared to looking good. Everything Trump does intends to enhance his already enormous ego.

When Trump was actually talking tough, even though I don't like the man at all, far from it, I was actually defending him... saying that the only language KJU would understand, was inflexible force. But then Trump started his idiotic love affair with KJU, and I thought, "uh oh, this won't end well."

Sure, let's wait and see; you are right about this part. But I'll tell you, I'm not optimistic. I'd have preferred a hard line from the beginning. Trump got so soft with KJU that now it will be hard to walk it all back.

At least Trump is making an effort at what, exactly? The only effort Trump ever made or makes, is an effort to look good and to earn more money. Trump only engaged in talks with KJU because he thought (like he said himself) that he'd win the Nobel Peace Prize. LOL

Correct. Not only does Trump cause the vast majority of his own problems, but between his mouth and his Twitter account, he's his own worst enemy.

Yet Trump has gotten further than "hope and change".

Not much success when there's not much effort but Trumps good at easy, that's sure. And he backs out of agreements like he spent his life perfecting it. And mostly he's good at declaring victory. The best. Best ever.

I knowwwww. He has reason to be upset.

Obama got one for.......................what was it again?.........for, um............

Oh yeah. For being president!

For not being Bush. Obviously. And the next Democratic President will get a Nobel Prize for not being Trump.
Bizarre loose-cannon world leaders don't get rewarded by Scandinavian prize committees. Didn't you know this?

You see it as making an effort with north korea while most others think of it as a national disaster politically. We got nothing and north korea got trump to visit and make a public fool of himself. So much for his bromance with un.

I agree that Kim will starve his people before he gives up his nukes. That only works in the short term, eventually if he is starved out enough his people will turn on him including his military snd his finances will be drained to the point where he can not sustain financing his military programs. That is if the world has the stomach to do that to the millions of innocent people that would be used as pawns in such a fight.

I agree that i think taking a tough stance is the best approach for dealing with Kim but im not gonna fault Trump for trying to use diplomacy first. What happens next is the question.

Sure, let's wait and see; you are right about this part. But I'll tell you, I'm not optimistic. I'd have preferred a hard line from the beginning. Trump got so soft with KJU that now it will be hard to walk it all back.
Im skeptical about how this is gonna unfold. Im keeping an open mind right now but i can offer my opinion on what our reaction should be to any new testing. I support a dessert storm styled shock and awe carpet bombing campagin on all their military establishments that does not stop until they unconditionally surrender. Agsin i dont think we have the stomach for it but its something i would support.
At least Trump is making an effort at what, exactly? The only effort Trump ever made or makes, is an effort to look good and to earn more money. Trump only engaged in talks with KJU because he thought (like he said himself) that he'd win the Nobel Peace Prize. LOL
Lets say Trumps motives are selfish, why does that matter if it leads to neuralizing the threat they pose? I dont care if he is doing to get a silly prize or his motive is aulturis.

Only far leftists get them. We are well aware of this.

PS. We are VERY happy with his foreign policy. America is number one again, instead of just a member of some group of nations that include rogue dictators, Imams, and others who despise America.

He dead soldiers remains and he got NK to temporarily stop testing. He also got the tone of rhetoric down to a cooler tempature. Those things are not nothing. They are not enough to declare victory either but give credit where its due

If Trump did get the Nobel Prize no one would laugh and roll their eyes the way everyone does when Obama's is mentioned, with Obama himself actually embarrassed to talk about it.

Considering concerning NK The President has already accomplished more than the last 11 presidents combined. People have gotten the Prize for less and I don't even have to mention Obama to make that point.

Right now both NK and China are delaying in their negotiations, thinking that Trump might actually be impeached or not reelected. Knowing that who ever the Democrat is, will be easy to run circles around.

World peace could be declared because of Trump. All countries could agree to have verified destruction of their nukes because of Trump. World hunger would be ended because of his policies of increasing farming. NONE of it would matter. These people have been taught by CNN and MSNBS and Adam Schiff that they must, at all costs, hate Donald Trump
