The Impeachment Hearings Are Going Unbelievably Horribly for Republicans

If they don't vote to convict some will lose their seats. McConnell has to calculate how many will need to sacrifice their Senate seat at the feet of the Orange Fuhrer.

Some, possibly. But they'll lose more seats if they turn on Saint ****wit. The cult will riot.

So, in short, yet another witness who can't testify to the Democrats' accusations.

But who now states that it was a quid pro quo based on what he later came to learn.

Do you have evidence?

You can’t say something like that without evidence

The most important quote out of this hearing so far:

Sondland: "I've never heard from President Trump that the aid was conditioned on the investigations." He reached this conclusion on his own.

So, in short, yet another witness who can't testify to the Democrats' accusations.

They're all liars that's what they do, both sides usually, but while this may be political and diverse purposes bay be served by either side winning, we have a serious court proceeding going on confirming what we already know and wouldn't be concerned about except for his tax cut.

True. McConnell has to make these calculations. We know he doesn't give a **** about the country. It's just a sporting event to him.

I wouldn't rule out the Senate removing him, for two reasons, if the Republican voters turn on trump: one is that they have no loyalty to trump other than the voters supporting him, the second is that privately, many can't stand trump and see the harm he's doing to them politically as the most hated president by non-Republicans since Lincoln, if not ever.

It's a win-win for Democrats. If Republicans remove trump, they're still stained for 2020 by the huge support they've given him already, such as zero Republican votes for impeachment proven wrong; and if they don't, they're hugely at odds with voters who see their corruption and are likely to turn on them in 2020. Thank goodness - it's well-deserved punishment for the totally corrupt, just too bad it's about trump's crimes more than plutocracy.

I would expect the Trump heart and health problems to become the reason for resignation.

Of course, the whole time he will loudly proclaim he was NOT forced out and he is innocent and totally exonerated.

Meadows left out the immediate preceding statement, in which Sondland states Trump only wanted an on-record press statement that investigations would take place.

Remember this:

"In fact, Ambassador Sondland said ‘everything’ was dependent on such an announcement, including security assistance,” Taylor testified.
[testimony of William Taylor on his conversation with Sondland]

I would expect the Trump heart and health problems to become the reason for resignation.

Thom Hartmann was speculating that the visit to the hospital might be setting up that option.

I completely agree. I look at it like a guy at the roulette wheel putting money on more than one number just in case.

Was there ever an announcemen???
I can't find it in the internet

then you are not listening to any of the actual testimony.

sondland admitted no quid pro quo numerous times already.

i love schiff's face when sondland said the president said no quid pro quo.
lmao.

You are clearly watching something which is not at all what is going on in the real world.

Jordan continues to yammer in his high-pitched screech on the fact that the crime wasn't successful. Why they think this works is something no one with any sense understands but we do understand why they need to use it. It's all they've got.

Also, trump has an emergency room and medical facilities in the basement.

Trying to give the gullible loyalists something to cling to and parrot.

lmao.

And a mob boss says no extortion as he exhorts. Are you daft? Sondland testified the quid pro quo. Game over.

Your defense is gone. Just ****ing spare us all.

Another one (there are so many) of Republican idiotic yammering points is that Dems are trying to "undo" the 2016 election which is exactly why the Constitution contains the means for removing a criminal president in order to stop the crimes rather than allow him to continue to do them until another election comes around.

Another great impeachment hearing moment:

Oh, but it did hurt someone.

Looks like panic and depression has set in on the anti-Trumpers. Poor babies, trying to make the best of a total drubbing of their Knight in Shining Armor - Schiff the shiftless. The eyes are tearing up and the lips are trembling, but they're being brave little soldiers.

Nunes is reduced to reciting the same litany of whining, lying, character and deflection every time he opens his filthy cakehole. Jordan just keeps revealing what a shameless desperate tool he is. And they still haven't come up with anything better than their Dear ****bag's crimes weren't successful therefore "no harm, no foul" which, of course, has no basis in law whatsoever.

For my part, this is far more fun than I expected.

Since we all know that isn't true, it begs the question: who are you trying to convince that the hearings are going bad for the Republicans?

No need to convince anyone. It's in stark plain view for those who haven't sealed themselves off from reality, fact and truth--in short, everyone but trumpers. For those types, on the other hand, the Republicans on the committee are blowing the same dog whistles every time they get the mic in a constant effort to feed the lies and propaganda to satisfy them and give them anything however false and ridiculous to regurgitate on sites like this.

You must be trying to convince yourself that the democrats didn't get ass spanked today.

Oh, thank you so much for coming forward so quickly to give us an example of exactly what I described: ****bag worshippers completely, deliberately (and hilariiously) walled off from reality.

Nunes starts right off again whining that the minority isn't getting the witnesses they want right after two of them testified yesterday and one of them is testifying this afternoon. And he's still jerking off on the whistleblower (with the usual lying) and not being able to generate death threats for that person. Does he really think no one sees through this despicable demand. And he wants Hunter Biden, who had no role in this shakedown other than being a victim. I'd call him a pathetic piece of **** that would be an insult to all pieces of ****.

They like being sheltered.

Now it's Ratcliffe's turn to deflect off to all the other countries who had aid held back for reasons having nothing to do with why we're having these hearings. Jeebus, these mopes are witless and spineless in addition to being pieces of **** in general. But I do appreciate them letting us know how pathetically desperate they are to muddy up the waters so their deplorable base can use them. Of course, they don't get away with it either.
