Impeachment Hearing - Wednesday Nov 20 - Live Reaction

Awww. Isn't it cute, the republicans got signs with Trumps words on them.

lol...Man, are Republicans ever stupid.

I have a question for the members. If Trump didn't want anything from Ukraine (per his statement today) why the hold on the funds?

Another GOP talking point bites the dust.

Cooper's staff has brought to her attention emails and other information that show Ukraine was inquiring about the suspended aid on July 25, the same day as the Trump-Zelensky call. This is a month earlier than previously thought.

I said earlier today that Trumpettes should watch the clock work backwards for the date Ukraine knew their security assistance was in trouble. So we have gone from the Politico piece that one could question to a hard date based on actual government contacts early in September and now we are back to July 25th. What a shocker!!!!!

It's an impeachable act to hold up the aid for personal reasons, but Republicans have argued that Ukraine would have had to know about it for it to be impeachable.

Okay, Ukraine knew.

Your move, bootlickers.

Gym Jordan can't be happy about that.

I should also point out that one of Trump's favorite tactics that he has moved over to government is to force feed additional gates in processes so that he maintains a level of final control.

- NSC foreign assistance program is one of these, an effort to put another transactional gate in a process where it should not be.
- Tariffs are another transactional forcing function

Trumpkin loves these transactional gates or forcing functions and if allowed he will sprinkle them all over the place securing more and more power for himself in the process.

Also, I would suggest that not only does Trumpkin "not know" so many of the people working around him he does not even know what functions they perform within nor how they function. I would say he would not know Ms Cooper's job from a rock!

He was also required by law to inform congress of any such hold. He never informed congress.
Like I said, Wingnuts want a king. It's kind of a surprise though, because I always thought they wanted the rugged cowboy, complete with hat and chainsaw. Not some jelly-belly with bone spurs and girlish hands.

Is it too soon to say, "President Pelosi"?

Yes. IMHO I think if the House voted today they would easily impeach Trump. However, if Trump came out and stood in front of the Senate and confessed they still wouldn't vote to remove him.

"Is your family from Ireland?"

"No, sir."

Yikes.

Let us not forget that he is punitive and petty. Saying he will cut aid to California simply because California despises him.

This is the same pattern over and over. The pettiness of this president is despicable. He blames Ukraine for trying to help crooked Hillary, a debunked conspiracy, and so makes Ukraine go through the ringer to get apportioned funding.

Even before Cooper's testimony, trumpers' argument that it couldn't have been extortion because Ukraine didn't know the money was being withheld seemed mathematically calculated to insult the intelligence of as many people at once. This is not just for the fact that we have other testimony and breaking stories that they did know, but also because IT WOULDN'T HAVE ****ING MATTERED IF THEY DIDN'T KNOW.

If I rob somebody's house, it doesn't make it not robbery if the tenants didn't notice the missing thing that I stole.

So far thee has been damning evidence against Trump.

However the evidence has not been direct enough to have any republican in the Senate, vote against Trump.
That will never happen, as long as those that may have witnessed the activity do not testify.

The House needs to get a court decision that determines whether or not House subpoenas can be ignored.

I know currently many Americans think these House subpoenas can/should be ignored. Question - should we abandon the thought of oversight on the current President?

Or should we only abandon it if the President is a member of the party we like best?

You can't actually be serious...

Pence is as complicit as all the other criminals in the Trump Crime Organization, but I am sure none of the crooked Republicans will hold either the President or the Vice President accountable.
