Startbucks' Open Bathroom Policy Killing Sales. Love It When PC Suck-ups Fail.

No, they're mostly made up of irreligious which are tantamount to atheists in their behavior.

No they are mostly made up of Christians who go to church on sunday

I remember another thing. The ultra-left Democratic Underground was advertising charities that were helping out with Katrina that their readers could support. The Catholic Church and other Christian church people provided the majority of volunteers, but the DU didn't link a single one of them. Four of the six they linked for donations were ANIMAL rescue. Can you believe that? Humans were dying, and these loons were focused on ANIMALS. Talk about screwed up values.

Kurds are dying, let's defend the oil well.

I’m really torn if you’re a POE troll or not. The way you write and your over the top satirical idiocy is straight off of Landover Baptist church.

I saw Defenders, Turbo, Ram It Down and Painkiller. I felt like I was growing old and heavy metal didn't really appeal to me when I saw Painkiller. I was saddened to learn that Glenn has Parkinson's. The Painkiller show was a 5 act bill with Dangerous Toys, Saxon, Motorhead, Alice Cooper and Priest. I'm glad that I had earplugs that night. That was my last metal show, I was into country music and chick rock in the 199s, for a while but now I mostly listen to electric blues.
Sounds like you were a real head banger.

I was never much into Motorhead or Cooper, but I'm a massive Saxon fan. IMHO, Maiden are totally overrated compared to them. Another hard rock group that was badass that gets no respect is Thin Lizzy. Damn, those guys could rock and are so much more than 'Jailbreak' and 'Boys Are Back In Town'.

I was a road cyclist with a poor sense of balance and lousy ability to read the road and see gravel and sand.
No, you just refuse to lose. ;)

I know I'm further derailing the thread, but I have to ask: Any thoughts on Vettel's latest brain fart? Personally, I think his mind has been a mess since Germany last year, and he's never going to be the same.

I was more into hair metal but I liked Priest because their songs had a melody and wasn't just teen anger. I actually listened to more New Wave and chick rock than metal.
Glenn Tipton is leather pants didn't hurt.

I didnt see the accident becausde I thought the race started later, so I only got to see replays. Personally I think that Charles LeClerc got into Vettel's head and he doesn't like the idea that he has to fight for team supremacy from a kid. Any driver wants to beat their teammate most of all so the team spends more time and money on their car than their teammate. Vettel doesnt seem to be a good fit with Ferrari.

Even though Lisa likes Tipton, I'm going to alternate between Cohen and Tipton, per our agreement.

That doesn't mean you get to tattoo your ass in between cycles.

Um - no. That’s not how it works. We had an agreement.

Why do people like heavy metal trash? I've never understood that. I do think there is a connection between drug use, illicit sex, and heavy metal. I had a friend who went to a KISS concert. The drugged-up crowd booed the most popular song KISS ever did, which was Beth. Also, a couple was fornicating right on the floor. My friend, it should be noted, was from a broken home.

I think a lot of it boils down to Vettel feeling the Ferrari pressure to succeed, and be the next Schumacher. He's come close twice, but he hasn't been able to perform beyond the limits of the car when it's counted the most. Both times that Hamilton began to pull away from Vettel in the championship, Vettel began driving desperately, and it's got him caught up in several accidents that have ****ed him up mentally for good.

What's clear is that Vettel can win races, but not championships at this point. He's past his prime. It happens to every driver, sooner or later. He peaked early and so his skills are fading somewhat early. Every champion that realizes that they will have to settle for race wins only has to make the decision of whether they can handle not fighting for a title, and if Vettel is honest with himself, he'll realize that he can't, and that it would be best for him to retire.

According to two ex-wives I'm an acquired taste but apparently not addicting.

ETA: Plus I've decided that spending pages, complete with notation, only encourages 'dueling links'.

If there's a fallacy or error I try to be quick about getting to it. Don't let the satire cloud the point.

I don't go to Starbucks I haven't gone to Starbucks in years. I've made my own coffee for years. I not an idiot. The only thing I ever went there for what's the pickup my boyfriend when he worked there. So I was never in the wine there's nothing for me to do.

it's not really about being above anything. It's about not being an idiot with money.

yes it would be. Usual people that go to these high-dollar places and by will you for priced stuff tend to be real persnickety about the environment they buy these things in. And if it's just where hobos are hanging out they're not going to go there. I was paid a lot of money to keep them away from those kind of places.

you are projected. You seem angry you are the one typing in all-caps and multiple exclamation points and emojis this is to convey emotion. So you're calling the kettle black.

I care because my husband worked for them for 10 years, they helped him get through college, not just scheduled around the school but that actually helped him pay for books. I think companies like that are good for our country. Even if they don't make products I like or buy. I want people to have opportunities I want people to do well. This is a bad business move. And I hate to think if I met my husband now he wouldn't have had as much opportunity.

I prefer a nice cup of Sumatran or Ethiopian. I keep repeating myself because you keep repeating yourself you keep telling me about boycotting can boycott something I don't consume. I don't boycott Ferrari, I'm just not a customer.

for as much focus as you have placed on me that's an odd statement. And I'm not fortunate it isn't just by mere happenstance that I've seen any sort of success of my life it is through work and determination.

Further helping the homeless is a noble cause and it's one I support. If you want to help them best thing to do it's fund shelters. Imagine how good people would feel about buying coffee if they knew some of it when it's to help people who are in dire straits? Imagine how good Starbucks shelter would look for Starbucks. How about the rehab center.

That's the best way to help.

Most people who are homeless or homeless because they have issues. A large number of them are veterans who have had difficulty with life after being in combat. Even then some aren't veterans and they have issues too. Mostly what they need is mental help. We used to take care of these people. The ones that could reintegrate into society were treated and the ones who couldn't were housed. Now they are dumped in the street because people think it's nicer.

And then they get arrested for urinating in public because there is nowhere for them to go. You never did give another idea for where homeless can go. Aside from the homeless shelter, that is.

And a lot of what I got out of your post is that you won’t even frequent a company that helped pay your husband’s way through college. I guess as long as you got yours, right?

I have the Stash Double Bergamont. I found a green grocer that occasionaly has fresh bergamont oranges. I buy a few when they have them in season and dehydrate the zest and freeze the juice.

We are fortunate to have a local spice store which carries, depending on availability and the season, 40-50 different teas, natural flavorings like dried citron, good on its own for a tea. I try to drop by at least once per week, come back with spices I like, some new to me, and different varieties of teas. Always an adventure. My wife uses the bergamot oil mixed with others for moisture rubs. She smells terrific, but I have no idea if it works as a moisturizer. She slaps my hands away, saying "Don't annoy me when I'm spoiling myself." :) Dog and the cat keep their distance.

You seem to not understand a lot of things.

I understand things that make sense. I don't understand the draw of non-melodic loud crap that causes people to have to wear hearing aids in their 40s.

How about this: If you tattoo your ass, I'll lock you in a room with this guy.

A few things for me:

First, its about catharsis. There are certain types of frustration that it helps me get out of my system and helps me feel positive or at least renewed.

That and if the show has good energy in the crowd, that is an amazing feeling.

Lastly: blastbeats!

Here is something more melodic :)

Once I get you acclimated, maybe I will break out the GWAR

Beth is the worst KISS song.

I like Blenheim or Reeds. I drink maybe 4 bottles per year.

Sounds interesting. I like ginger ale. But I stay away from soda now.

Beth is the worst KISS song.

That's what those burnouts who booed thought. The one beautiful song they produced, and they booed.

It got so bad, KISS stopped playing their best-selling song ever at their concerts. Amazing.

You should try FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH

Actually, thats pretty pro military and conservative stuff, you might like it!

WOOOOOO!!! BRING IT! I've seen GWAR live a few times back in the 90s. Great shows!

On the subject of music, I consider myself lucky to have grown up during the birth of Rap and the underground hardcore scene here in NYC. Great times. I used to love being in the East Village in the wee hours of the night talking to punks, rap fans, etc. over a slice of pizza. Punk was more cathartic for me, so I gravitated toward that, but Rap also spoke to what I saw all around me.

I think that Vettel still has a title in him but he needs a team that is more suited to him. Im getting the feeling that Sebastion and Christian Horner at Red Bull were a better fit psychologically. There is too much emotional bagage and egos at Ferrari. Schumacher had to deal with the same issue until he managed to get Ross Brawn and Willy Weber to clean up their mess.

I know that many people like Ferrari but there is something about that team that I never liked. They have always been monied prima donnas that demand you to respect their ego and the history of the prancing horse. I want to see Mclaren and Williams crawl out of their slump and fight back to the top. I was always a supporter of Jordan and Tyrell because those underdogs were the soul of F1.

A better folksy song from KISS.

Yeah, I know that song. Amazing how it fits in with the mid-70s sound of other genres. Reminds me of the Nitty-Gritty Dirt Band here.
