Startbucks' Open Bathroom Policy Killing Sales. Love It When PC Suck-ups Fail.

3. I have NO idea how to reconcile the need to be humane and the need to keep the restrooms clean and free of drug paraphernalia.

4. By way, if you ever visit Los Angeles and ride the subway, do not plan to use the restroom. There ARE none. When the city was starting to build its subway system, the police reportedly demanded that there be no restrooms lest they be used for drugs, prostitution, and gay cruising.

Great point. Thanks to the liberals, these bathrooms will not only be filthy, but also centers for drug activities.

But we must remember this might very well be the INTENTION of anti-capitalists who WANT businesses to suffer.

The conservatives are warming up their outrage for their war on Christmas and Starbuck's secularist X-mas cups.

Ah we reap what we sow, don't we? Adopt leftwing policies...have to clean up the mess. Love it.

I am not under the impression that homeless people are allowed to loiter and hang out in Starbucks drugged up, as the OP would like us to believe. I go to Starbucks frequently, and I don’t see such things.

And how many of the 30,000 stores have you been in again? What percent?

I have no problem paying $4 for a cup of coffee if it’s really good. I have paid more. I don’t like Starbucks because the beans are always over roasted and taste bitter.

What I do think is hilarious is how Starbucks is always a target for the right. You’d think it was owned by Obama or something.

It basically is. Obama makes gay coffee!

Starbucks deals in hate. I boycott them.

That's great. So wonderful. You go fight that good fight, against the liberal scourge or whatever. Nobody's gonna follow behind you (maybe Josh Feurstein, but thats it).

Hate is very a important sacrament to (conservative) Christianity!

Actually, it's the left who hates people. Conservatives love people, but hate bad ideas that hurt people. Significant difference there

Starbucks’ open bathroom policy may be hurting foot traffic: Study

Since opening its bathroom doors to the public in the wake of a controversial incident in Philadelphia, the coffee giant has seen a 6.8% drop in store attendance per month relative to other coffee shops nearby, according to the findings of a joint study from the University of Texas at Dallas and Boston College.

“When you throw open the policy to let people come in and just use the bathrooms and the tables, maybe people come in and find the bathrooms are dirty, and the tables are crowded,” David Solomon, Assistant Professor at Boston College Carroll School of Management, told YFi PM. “And so they don't buy the coffee as well.”

Well, knock me over with a feather!

You wonder if Starbucks is run by a bunch of morons. Who in their right minds think that by allowing drug-users and bums to roam willy-nilly in your business, paying customers looking for a quiet table and a clean bathroom would stand for that?

This was a sop the far left. Recall the outrage when two blacks were arrested at a Starbucks last spring. They were loitering and not buying anything, and the manager called the police. The video of the arrests went viral, and the idiot CEO, Kevin Johnson immediately changed to policy to allow anyone to use the bathrooms and occupy tables without buying anything.

Here is the motto businesses should follow: Do NOT EVER cave to the PC leftist nuts. They don't care if your business fails. Do the commonsense things that keep customers coming in.

"...MAY be hurting foot traffic". So now a 'maybe' is all you need to make a definite assertion? Try again; maybe with something called 'facts'? You clearly didn't listen to (or want to hear), the discussion."Customers are visiting Starbucks in record numbers".

'Another thread fail for the boy'.

Just quoting the article. Take it up with the authors. But the point is pretty obvious and clear. Allowing these kinds of people to trash your business drives away customers. Only leftwingers would be suprised at this.

No, you're quoting what you want to quote, carefully cherry-picked and you know it. The article clearly says "MAY". The video discussion also points to many variables which MAY affect foot traffic. 'MAY' being the operative. You're not very good at this or you would understand the difference between 'may' and 'does'.

Continues spreading hate/division. At least you’re consistent.

My story says foot traffic decreased, so you'll have to take it up with your source's authors. Come back and tell us what you find.

Yes, it says it may have decreased due to several factors, but you prefer to focus on just one. Why is that? Do you never tire of being wrong, or did you take classes in how not to know stuff?

Maybe it's because of the paragraph near the beginning of the story:

Derp.

Yes, like I said "other variables". Now what does this have to do with your "open bathroom policy" OP? Nothing; absolutely nothing. Yet again you shot yourself in the foot. I also love how you equate a huge capitalist organisation to "leftists".

Hate is very a important sacrament to (conservative) Christianity!

Thanks for the (conservative) part. I was gonna say - not all of us are like that. I don’t hate anybody. My biggest problem is I don’t suffer fools lightly. I never have.

So what are these other mystery 'variables' that aren't contained in the article, that you somehow believe exist?

Maybe if you bothered to listen to what was said in the video you wouldn't have to ask stupid questions. Just a hint.

How many Starbucks customers use the facilities? Surely most people buy a coffee to go. It's a bizarre claim to blame the possible second-rate state of the toilets as a factor at all. Or does the "open" policy itself upset you in some way?
Open bathroom facilities are surely better than public urination?

He's trolling. Nobody could be that stupid, surely? Either that or he is so lacking in getting attention that he resorts to an internet forum for his affirmation. Either way it's very sad.
