White House backs Stephen Miller amid white nationalist emails | TheHill

The White House is standing by senior adviser Stephen Miller as he faces calls from dozens of Democrats to resign after newly released emails showed he circulated material linked to white nationalism to conservative media before joining the administration.

The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) has published summaries of hundreds of emails Miller sent to Katie McHugh, a former editor at Breitbart News. The emails contain links and references to far-right websites, with much of the focus on immigration. The SPLC is planning to release additional emails in the coming days.

A Jewish white nationalist descended from immigrants now sits at the right hand of Donald Trump. Go figure.

Do we have actual writings from the emails that demonstrate that Stephen Miller is a racist white supremacist (which I presume you mean when you say "white nationalist")?

Do you know how to use The Google? I'm not paid by Debate Politics to do research. Try SPLC for starters.

I'd recommend people look up the websites and books that Miller cites in his emails to get the full effect. He is absolutely a white nationalist at a minimum. It isn't hyperbole or misinterpretation.

Miller references things like the website VDARE and the book "The Camp of the Saints". Do yourself a favor and scroll through VDARE and read reviews of "The Camp of the Saints". They both peddle in the Great Replacement conspiracy theory which is the bedrock of white nationalism.

I did, but I am having a hard time finding the actual words that Stephen Miller wrote that demonstrate his racism. If someone accused you of writing a series of racist emails, and a lot of dust was kicked up about what a big racist you were, but no one bothered to actually show the emails, wouldn't you be a bit perturbed that everyone was going along with the conclusion without looking at the evidence?

Because quite frankly, I do not trust SPLC's ability to arrive to reasonable conclusions regarding people's motivations one iota without corroborating evidence. They are a hack organization which accused a liberal Muslim who leads a de-radicalization organization, Maajid Nawaz, of being an anti-Muslim extremist. I am given to doubt their good faith and their authority of being the arbiters of who is or is not a hateful extremist.

I have no difficulty believing the premise in the OP. I know it may be superficial, but do an image search for Stephen Miller......

Can there be any doubt we have a racist administration?

Before Joining White House, Stephen Miller Pushed White Nationalist Theories

Before Joining White House, Stephen Miller Pushed White Nationalist Theories - The New York Times

A report by the Southern Poverty Law Center seeks to illustrate how Mr. Miller brought anti-immigrant beliefs to the White House and turned them into policy.

WASHINGTON — A batch of leaked emails obtained by a civil rights advocacy group show that Stephen Miller, the White House adviser with a direct hand in shaping President Trump’s hard-line immigration policies, promoted theories popular with white nationalist groups to an editor at a prominent conservative publication before he joined the administration.

The group, the Southern Poverty Law Center, on Tuesday published a summary of some 900 messages that Mr. Miller sent to Breitbart News from March 2015 to June 2016. The center shared with The New York Times seven pages of the emails included in that summary.

Breitbart News looks to be another source for these documents.

Note to mod: this is not a BN article, only a reply to a an existing BN thread.

SPLC?

Who would quote any claim from this racist alt-left Progressive operation?

This is an oxymoron. He Jewish American with a strong sense of nationalism and loyalty to his country. He's just a regular nationalist which used sources that you people consider to be questionable.

You people are so full of ****, it's not even funny anymore.

You do not need to trust the SPLC. You can look up the sources that Miller references in his emails. I have not heard Miller loudly proclaiming that he is a white nationalist, but if the source of his opinions are rooted in white nationalism it is nearly impossible to avoid having the label applied to him. I think it's ridiculous to act like someone's words are more important than their actions, but that seems to be what you are trying to say.

Unless he's quoting "the daily stormer", "fash the nation" or actual white nationalist publications, he's just a regular nationalist.

If he quotes from sources that promote the Great Replacement he is clearly a white nationalist. The entire conspiracy is based off of eliminating the white race.

No, not really.

The entire conspiracy is based off of eliminating the white race.

The government of White majority countries are well aware that their immigration polices are contributing to the decline of the white majority of their counties. They just don't care.

In a sense, we are being replaced and the governments are complicit in it.

Maybe you just haven't come out as a white nationalist yet. Maybe you are in the blurry ground of nationalism but haven't taken that leap. It isn't my responsibility to pretend like supporting the things Miller supports isn't white nationalism because of the baggage that term carries.

Perhaps. They are not even aware the SPLC is a money laundering operation for Progressive agitators.

They're aware of it, they just agree with their agenda.

That's why I use the term "low functioning liberal". Although, it's not just liberals, anyone that considers the SPLC a credible source is low functioning.

Give him credit, at least he's consistent.
