In trying to defend his witness intimidation tactics, Trump has used the "he is the victim" card. Yes he is the victim, well maybe not. He fired a thirty year ambassador, Yananovitch to get her out of the way in Ukraine so his three amigos could put pressure on the Ukraine president to find dirt on what trump thought was his main political opponent in the up coming 2020 presidential election. Yes we know he and the GOP says it was a legitimate effort to fight corruption in Ukraine, but if it was why only the Biden's? And why fire an ambassador who was really fighting corruption in that country and ruin her career. I guess like many in the Trump administration she was what I would call a throw away,i.e., someone who did not count and could be used in any manner that Trump wanted. So when she comes to congress to explain what happened to her, she is not the victim in this situation, but poor Trump is the victim. And all the Trumpsters out there like the bobble head dolls just bob their heads at trump's command.

Three plus years of election deniers will do that to you. What will it take to convince them Hillary lost in 2016?

She was there fighting corruption so why remove her if you want to fight corruption?

Trump had her removed because she was an obstacle to their corrupt plans. They were injecting corruption not fighting it. It's disgusting. Shame on the Republican party for defending this.

Nice deflection attempt. Nixon could have said the same thing. Every corrupt politician who is ousted because of corruption can claim that his enemies were just angry he was elected. That has nothing to do with the facts. The facts show that Trump extorted a foreign president to investigate his political opponent.

That's like Obama calling up Putin and offering him sanctions relief if he opens an investigation into Trump's activities in Moscow. There are allegations that Trump had sex with underage prostitutes in Moscow, shouldn't Obama had asked Putin to do him a "favor" and look into it?

Thanks for confirming the Trump as victim story line.

This might seem less ridiculous if you used paragraphs...

...but then again...

She was a loony lefty appointed by Obama and replaceable at the will off the sitting president. They're trying to impeach Trump because they think they can but they're wrong. Idiots!

Smart money is on no impeachment.

Criticizing the questionable actions and comments of Donald Trump during his presidency is not denying the outcome of his election.

She was not a lefty, she was appointed by Trump, and she was not simply replaced, she was smeared, threatened, and then fired. Why did Trump smear her? Why did his son? Why did Trump tell a foreign leader that she was bad news and was going to "go through some things?" This is abysmal foreign diplomacy. He smeared an American career public servant to a foreign leader. Trump could have quietly recalled her and put her in a different position, or simply let her go. Why didn't he do this?

Has everyone been sleeping?

Ever since being on the campaign trail Trump has gone back and forth between bouts of outright anger and attacking behavior right to the victim card depending on the subject(s) of the day.

We have seem Trump time and time again at the mic at some rally being cheered by groups of useful idiots or hiding behind a Tweet then sometimes same day going right back to complaining that everyone is out to get him, "fake news," and all the other nonsense he spews about those that do not proclaim utter loyalty, pucker up, and kiss his ass.

Is he an actual victim in this case, anything related to Russia or the Ukraine? Is he a victim of those who are before Congress? Of course not, and sadly the "victim card" from up on the hill is a political argument often devoid of what really happened.

1. Intimidation spin...check.

2. Dirt...check.

3. Yovanovitch fighting corruption...check.

4. Deplorables...check.

Well...another rehash of the spin nonsense from the Trump haters. Good job, independentusa.

Now...some facts:

None of the witnesses...including Yovanovitch...have been able to point to anything Trump has done being about "getting dirt". Every one of them have mentioned Trump fighting Ukrainian corruption.

Trump had good reason to fire Yovanovitch...even though he needed no reason at all to do it. Her crying about getting fired is an HR issue...not an impeachment issue.

At this point, Trump doesn't HAVE a "political opponent".

And the fact is, Trump has been a prime target since he kicked the other Republicans to the curb and became the Republican nominee...so yes, he has been a victim of the Trump hater's campaign to get rid of him for years.

btw, Yovanovitch hasn't seen her career ruined. She now has a cushy job at Cambridge. But she certainly should be indicted and convicted of lying to Congress multiple times.

Why isn't Donald Trump a mature, grown man?

Three plus years of election deniers will do that to you. What will it take to convince them Hillary lost in 2016?

Three years and Trumpsters are still trying to find someone other than the Russians to blame for the election interference. Trump has brought all of this on his own head with his own actions, starting with asking the Russians to find dirt on Hillary, i.e., Hillary's emails. Now in this situation he was trying to to the same with the Biden's, only this time using the Ukraine government to do his dirty work.

If he wants to blame victim-hood, he should look to the way he was raised! Of course, he seems to be perpetuating the Trump family ethos upon his progeny just as well.

Hate to tell you she is probably a lot smarter than the man in the White House. And she was not just appointed by Obama, but by both Dem and GOP president's for over thiry yrars career. And I would like to see a link pointing at her being a "lefty". Yes, I need proof as to what you are saying when you call someone a 'lefty".

I would take that bet. He will be impeached by the House and of course since the GOP in the Senate are not even watching these hearing, he will not be convicted in the Senate no matter what he did. It will certainly set precedent for the future presidents that they can do what they want and neither party can convict them of anything they do ,even if it violates the law.

Obama won his elections, therefore everything he did was legitimate and good.

What's fun is watching the frothy, sycophantic twump supporters fail, each and every time, to cite a single valid reason for her dismissal or how it was done.

I said smart money, I am not foolish enough to underestimate the stupidity of pelosi. She has already resided over 1 catastrophic landslide victory against her party in 2010. I dont put it past her to have a repeat performance.

As for the GOP senators not watching. Im sure they are paying close attention whether they admit it or not. What they are doing is going on record to satisfy the democrat's sycophants in the media. If the time comes, which will be a really dumb move by democrats if they allow it to come, the senate will conduct its trial and expose this for the partisan witchhunt that it clearly is.
2020 is the Republicans to lose. Democrats have put themselves in a no win situation. There is no good way out for them without help from the Republicans. The only question is how badly are they gonna lose.

Futher solidifying his conservative creds.

I would give you a point taken except that the drive to impeach Trump began before he took the oath of office. And having CIA chief Brennan leading the charge doesn't help me sympathize. The CIA is supposed to be for regime change in foreign countries only.

She was a never Trumper holdover from the Obama admin and she got canned. Normal course of events why is part of the impeachment inquiry? She didn't even cry she was supposed to cry during her testimony..

Join with Republicans in coming up with a voter ID system. You know Hillary would've won if Russians had to show ID to vote in our elections.

If she was a never Trumper, why did Trump keep her on as the Ukranian ambassador? Why did Trump smear her? Why did his son? Why did Trump tell a foreign leader that she was bad news and was going to "go through some things?" This is abysmal foreign diplomacy.
