Intelligent people can only come to one conclusion with the criminal impeachment of the president that is going on. With the number of obvious liars that the democrats have brought forward, and more being named all the time, President Trump would have had to do this. He would have had to let all of Washington know he was going to call Ukraine, what time the call was to be made, and rented a hall to hold all the people that said they heard the call.

Doesnt Schiff understand the more people he says overheard the president the more foolish he looks.

Not only did he need to tell all those people he also apparently needs their approval. All foreign policy matters must be run through their channel only or its a crime.

No, according to them, they are tasked with carrying out the foreign policy goals of the U.S. and have been doing that for a number of years.

If the U.S. (ie President) changes the goal of the U.S., then perhaps the people in place should be made aware of this change.
Perhaps Congress should be told not approve any more money, as it relates to Ukraine, until there is a public announcement of a Biden/Burisma investigation.

Perhaps the change should not be made through backroom channels, with the aim is to withhold already approved funds, until the President of the Ukraine does the U.S. president 'a favor'

Wait...how are these the only conclusions an intelligent person can draw? Your claims are absolutely sweeping ones. Intelligent people often disagree and draw different conclusions from the same evidence, and evidence in this world is rarely conclusive.

Whoa, don't jump to conclusions. If these people you speak of, do not agree with Logical1, they are not intelligent.
 
The conclusion I've come to is that republicans don't care if democratic senators make promises to foreign governments as long as those foreign governments can manufacture dirt on their opponents so they can win elections.

Good job Republican voters.

Surely they document attendance of formally scheduled calls so that should be easy to demonstrate, no?

I missed most of the testimony. How many times was this issue raised by the GOP ?

Imagine being so far gone that you look around at all these career public servants and see liars and criminals, but the guy who has actually spent decades proving himself a con man, philanderer, and liar has your unwavering support. You can't really reason with people like that. All you can do is hope their influence is as minimal as possible and leave them to spout their fever dream conspiracies like the drunk on the local street corner.

Actually the whole implied thing is a fairly recent development. When the story broke and for a long time after that Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity and all of their listeners and a ton of other republicans said none of this stuff ever happened.

Now we're past day one of the impeachment hearings and we have "implied". Who knows where it goes from here.

no you didn't miss anything. that's all they have.

for me it is not enough. especially since Biden has stated he strong armed ukraine to fire a prosecutor, and thus investigation is warranted imo... also that was not the only corruption he was talking about having them look into.

honestly I could care less about whether he tried to get them to investigate, as long as it wasn't DIRECTLY to help him win an election. I want DC shaken up, he is doing agood job. if we can get DOJ investigation going we may have something.

they need to be reminded they work for the people, not the other way around.

LOL we have known it was "implied" since, oh i dunno, Trump released the transcript. this is absolutely nothing new, and implied doesn't bring down duly elected presidents.

it means, there is no real evidence of his intentions, is what it means.

Uh, this whole thing was rumored, maybe not to you though, for a long time. I'm sure longer within government. The call actually happened in July but Trunp had been obsessed much longer than that.

The democrats have already proved that withholding money to achieve an agenda is legal. They are the ones that did it not Trump.

When will the Senate investigate this?
The EU, IMF, US /Shokin happened years ago.
The Senate could start an investigation whenever they feel like it.
But, they haven't felt like it.
Trump_DoJ could start in investigation whenever it is warranted.

The Biden business is a red herring. It is meant to distract.
If the Biden business was real, the Senate would be investigating as well as the USDOJ.
If Trump_DoJ were investigating the Bidens and Trump was helping, that'd put an end to the whole Ukrainian business.

The DOJ have literally had years to look at this publicly available information about the EU/IMF/US/Shokin business.
The Senate has also had years to review the publicly available information.
But neither one is taking any action.

Killing someone can be legal and illegal.
It's the context of the killing which makes the difference.
Same thing with making conditional demand of foreign countries.

It's not a one size fits all.
I strongly suspect that you are more than capable of understanding this sort of thing.
