Some Dems do and some Dems don't. My guess would be that most don't. Some politicians are desperately trying to get left of each other by whatever means available. One has even gone so far as to be running for the Oval as a Democratic Socialist. Takes all kinds but I would not be so fast to color all Dems with the same cloth. The Dem Party is far from monolithic.

Nah, you're just projecting, It's the Republicans who line up behind dear leader and agree with whatever he says or does. Every time. Except the time he said some Neo Nazis and KKK were "very fine people." That they made him walk back. Dems on the other hand are a very diverse group. Haven't you ever looked at pictures of the two groups? One is homogeneous, the other is heterogeneous.

Open borders would most assuredly be a security problem for this country. An Open Borders political position would be a bad beat for Dems.

There's a big difference between run of the mill security and economic concerns and invasion by Russia.

We're not ideologically threatened. Our national character is not at stake. Our sovereignty is not in jeopardy.

Equating invasion and immigration is xenophobia.

None of which is an argument for Open Borders in the US and none of which is an argument for decriminalizing illegal border crossings both of which will be losers for a Dem Nominee that brings those planks into the Dem platform.

Both of which are very important points towards countering the xenophobia and hate in the OP.

I don't give a **** what you think about open borders, it's not the same as invasion by a foreign country.

I would point you to post 1 and post 2 of this thread and have somebody put out the fire in your hair and pants.

If I were you, I would consider the OP analogy to US borders as nonsense which it is but I would consider his conflation to the Dem Party position as worth countering......which it is!

Russia's invasion of the Ukraine and immigration are not the same thing. Immigrants have no intention of expanding the USSR and Gulaging our people.

It's xenophobia to equate immigration and hostile foreign power invasion.

The first line of the OP has nothing to do with the line that follows. It is the bridge to the second line that is absurd, ridiculous, a massive conflation.

The OP goes from a piece of Kent's testimony to:

The kill shot the OP is hoping for is in the second line of his post and he uses a laughably absurd bridge to get there, a piece of topical current material (the Kent testimony) in an effort to make a point about Dems that is IN FACT FALSE.

Do you see any granularity in that line? Did the OP post:
- Some Dems
- a few Dems
- a couple of Dems running for the nomination

Is there ANY granularity there at all? That line was what the OP hoped was his kill shot and he is painting all Dems with the same brush to do it while having utterly nothing to support that contention.
