It has never been a "lie" any more than any other scientific prediction. Nothing in science is hard and fast which is why science progresses; mistakes are made and are corrected and we move on. As to sea level rise low-lying land masses, like the Maldives and the Marshalls, are already threatened with inundation, and in several other places residents have been forced to move to higher elevations.
Sea level rise is slow and incremental. It isn't like a disaster movie.

Basically if you live in the modern world you are using fossil fuels if you don't farm your own food and homestead without any technology powered by electricity you're consuming fossil fuels if you build your house out of things that were brought to you via truck you are using fossil fuels.

We can't change our energy generation overnight. However, the longer we delay, the harder it becomes. Thus, attitudes like what you're espousing makes it even more difficult to reduce emissions.

Back in the real world, there are lots of options to reduce emissions and dependence on fossil fuels. This includes but is not limited to developing sustainable energy sources; vertical farming; wasting less food; increasing energy efficiency; buying less trivial crap and throwing it away; and yes, opting for cleaner transport.

We won't reduce petroleum usage to zero, but we can certainly do a lot more, right now, to reduce emissions.

How about not projecting your American fossil fuel hell on the rest of the us? Quite a few countries are already shedding fossil fuels and many have gotten very far.

Oh so nuclear is much Greener huh? What do they do with the spent fuel rods? You realize that will be dangerous to all life for ten thousand years. There's nothing we can make that will last that long The shield them.

Personally I dont think so, but that was not what the discussion is about. It is about fossil fuels which France does not use that much of to power its industry.

so what are the environmentalists who lecture the whole rest of the world about how they need to use fewer fossil fuels actually doing so that they're not hypocrites? Are they living in the heated houses moving around in vehicles. They don't have to do that that can stay where they are.

Nobody wants to hear you preach. I'm told on a regular occasion by people who are not climatologists that I'm not a climatologist.
So it seems like this doomsday cult is a whole bunch of hypocrites. And when you try to lecture me about your moronic beliefs, now it's not just a nuisance. Now you're becoming more of an enemy.
