Chris Wallace: Taylor testimony 'very damaging to President Trump' | TheHill

"I think that William Taylor was a very impressive witness and was very damaging to the president," Wallace said, while cautioning that questioning by GOP House members may change his initial perspective.

"He took very copious notes at almost every conversation - when he put quotes in his opening statement, he said those were direct quotes from what was said. It also doesn't hurt that he has a voice like Edward R. Murrow," Wallace added."

And the leader of the free world had a intelligent and articulate response...

"NEVER TRUMPERS!"

Nothing about this era is Trump's fault. It's all on the idiots that voted for him.

President Trump is now officially WORRIED about "Never Trumpers".
As well he should be, because their numbers are going to grow.
With every minute of these hearings, more and more a picture is beginning to emerge, and with every minute, one more Trump zombie is extinguished as they join the ranks as brand new fresh NEVER TRUMPERS.
And Trump can't stop what's coming, just like he has been unable to stop everything else that's been coming.

And that's because deep down, even Republican leaders (well, most of them anyway) do recognize that the alternate reality being presented BY Trump is unsustainable if we are to remain the world superpower and a beacon of democracy and the rule of law, and they have NO STOMACH for where Trump's path would lead if Trump is rendered victorious, and that is mostly because it would set a precedence for ALL future presidents, a very dangerous one, one they themselves might come to regret deeply.

Many of them are only clinging to fealty because they do not trust the process.
Some are beginning to trust the process, as the truth comes out however.
And more are going to in the very near future.
Trump can't stop what's coming.

If they win what's to stop senators, maybe someone running against Lindsey Graham, from going to the UK and telling them they will vote a certain way if they manufacture dirt on Lindsey Graham?

Chris Wallace should have waited, Jim Jordan had Taylor for lunch.

Which I could be as optimistic as you. I still run into people that when they hear something they don't want to hear about Trump it's "fake news" and get all butt hurt if you try and tell them otherwise.

Don’t know if anything would need to be manufactured. Just uncovered. ;)

Or asking China to help with a 'favor' and in return for that favor pledge to back off tariffs on China. All they may ask China to do is investigate a report of Lindsey's preference for underage boys from China. :2razz: I wonder how evangelicals would deal with something like that. It wouldn't matter if it was true or not or could be corroborated or not, it would destroy Lindsey's Graham's bid for reelection to the Senate in 2020.

The point is, it doesn't matter who's sitting in the Oval Office at the time. If this precedent is set, it's set forever, for decades, to be used by any man or woman who occupies the Oval Office in the future and chooses to use 'Trump-tactics' against their political adversary.

Jim Jordan is a "what if" person coming up with every possible reason for something being done. Nonetheless and as I have said before, Jim Jordan and all other Trump supporters have now had to come up with excuses and "other reason other than the truth" for more than 44 times on things that Trump has done

The reality is that if it looks like a duck, swims like a duck and quacks like a duck, it must be a duck. In some extraordinary cases it could be that one in a million situations what looks like a duck is not a duck but when it happens over 44 times, that chance disappears entirely. Trump is the duck and there is not one chance in a zillion that he isn't.

By the way and talking about Jim Jordan, do you remember him asking Kent if he was a never-trumper? Kent's response caused Kent to have Jordan for lunch. Kent said he has been a career representative of the government for 27 years and has served under 3 Republican and 2 Democratic presidents and he was always totally bi-partisan (just doing his job for whatever president was in place). Jim Jordan evidently choked on that answer as Kent wiped his ass with Jordan.

No, he looked like child trying to defend the indefensible. Just distractions and bs. Looks like the pedophile protector fell flat on his face.

Pretty clear to me, do we want a nation of laws or a nation run by a drug dealer?

Obviously you didn't watch or read the text of Jordan questioning Taylor.

Gym Jordan was speaking to an audience of one. He played the same game in his questioning of Michael Cohen.

If this impeachment is successfully quashed on manufactured conspiracy theories, the outcome literally changes this nation into a full-on kleptocracy.
We will quite literally join Russia, pre-rev Ukraine, Honduras, Nigeria, and any number of nations that end in "stan".

We will quite literally become the global capital of Chaostan.

In other words, this is the part in the mythical fairy tale where the sailors actually start to see the water rushing over the edge of the flat earth, this is the point at which we literally sail off and over the edge.

It sounds cute and trite, but.....
"Here be monsters."

Think of the kind of bedfellows we invite into our national security, our intelligence, our justice and our financial centers as a result of such a turn of events.

Chris Wallace should have waited, Jim Jordan had Taylor for lunch.

LOL! He had Taylor 'for lunch' if that's how you describe what the rest of know as 'being sodomize, and roughly so, by Taylor."

Oh, this is just such a fun time, don't you thnk?

Ummmm....YEAH, same here! :lamo

Michael Cohen the Liar. Bill Taylor the Hearsay Artist is just as bad.

---Not to mention turn most of civil society into a pack of vultures who would sell their own mother or their own baby in return for political gain right down to streetcorner level, and that's because once we've abandoned what Trump cultists hate most about ourselves, we become no different than members of a street gang or a cartel. The whole goddamn country would turn into a cartel, in our minds, our way of thinking, our way of relating to each other, the entire personality of America dies and is reborn as a pure kleptocracy.

If the President, any president, is excused for behaving like a gang member, then we are all gang members.
Somewhere between Idiocracy, Walking Dead and The Postman, there is a fate that awaits us.
If we normalize and admit and tolerate these things, then the plot of The Postman changes to where General Bethlehem wins.

Both William Taylor and George Kent testified despite State Department orders not to appear. That's because they're non-political patriots who care about this country and our US Constitution.

But for those who complain about second hand knowledge, Trump has admitted publicly that the White House will not cooperate in these investigations despite the White House being subpoenaed for documents essential to this case.

Then there's the list of those who DO have first hand knowledge that were ordered by Trump to defy Congressional subpoenas. Men like Rick Perry who defied his subpoena, Rudy Giuliani who defied his subpoena, John Bolton just refused to appear and Mick Mulvaney all have first-hand knowledge of all of this. They all defied a Congressional subpoena and refused to appear.

Everyone knows why these men who have first hand knowledge of events won't appear, it's because unless they lie to Congress it will damage Trump beyond repair.

There's an even longer list of those who defied Congress and followed the orders of Trump to obstruct the process.

Charles Kupperman
former deputy national security adviser to Bolton
Ulrich Brechbuhl, State Department counselor,
Mark Sandy, associate director for national security programs at the Office of Management and Budget
Michael Duffey, associate director of national security programs at the Office of Management and Budget
Russell Vought, acting director of the Office of Management and Budget
Wells Griffith, senior director for International Energy and Environment at the National Security Council
John Eisenberg, legal adviser to the National Security Council,
Michael Ellis, legal adviser to the National Security Council,
Brian McCormack, former chief of staff to Energy Secretary Perry,

Now, Gordon Sondland is scheduled to testify next week and whether or not he'll appear is still in question and particularly now that we know he had been in direct communication with Trump. The aide to William Taylor was in a restaurant with Sondland when he made a call to Trump (not a good idea in a public restaurant) which Trump stated that he cares more about the investigation into Biden than Ukrainians. This aide could clearly hear this conversation and will be testifying in private next week. Will Gordon Sondland lie again and say he never had that call in the restaurant with Trump that the aide clearly overheard?

I only heard part of Jordan’s act. Did he even ask a single question?

He sure carried on, thought.

Which is what I expected. It takes a carnival barker to blow smoke for another carnival barker!

Jordan showed Taylor's testimony was nothing but his opinion based on hearsay, not fact.

Chris Wallace: Taylor testimony 'very damaging to President Trump'

only in real reality, though. in the other one, it's fake news emerging from its cocoon to fly away as so what.
