Ruth Bader Ginsburg misses court due to illness

Not exactly but WHEN she dies (as all people do) I'd prefer it to be during a Republican Presidency and Senate. So her demise in the next year or so would be most timely for obvious reasons.

Seeking to benefit from the death of others is as low as a person can go. Real garbage.

And you would be happy if she dies soon. Correct?

I'd be happy if she died or resigned in the next year OR (if Trump manages to be re-elected) in the next 4 years. I'm usually quite happy regarding those in power, who I believe to be fundamentally evil and a substantial danger to the Republic, to either resign or die if still in office. I could give you a list, I suppose.

But you are right, sooner better than later is my motto.

Ok.

That is disgusting. Thanks

You just contradicted yourself. Or you just don't understand what you're writing

"I see MILES of spork! THEY'RE ALL ON UNICYCLES!!!!!!!!!"

Seeing benefit in the death of particular others is as realistic as it is rational. One needn't and shouldn't "seek it", but one shouldn't be so stupid or foolish as to ignore or appreciate its consequences.

Obviously I don't need to be the ethical voice in this thread. Plenty of people are commenting on your grotesque lack of decency herein.

Actually they, like you, are seeing very little. These "others" moralistic view bereft of normative reasoning no deeper than "Ewwww that's gross" is not suitable for an intelligent adult (making the assumption that they are both intelligent and adults).

If he couldn't be re-elected why so much emphasis on impeaching him?
Trump’s chances for re-election have exactly zero to do with the justification/need for impeachment hearings.

I bet you'd achieve sudden understanding if someone was:

"I'm not saying I want Trump to die, but if he did... How great would that be? I mean, it would be awesome. The best thing that ever happened! But I'm not saying I want anyone to do that or that I want to see it happen."

You'd be outraged. But you lack the ability to see you're doing the same thing.

Point of Order: How many misses does she get before they call in the coroner?

Apparently her medical directive has a proviso to keep her on life support and grants Sotomayor the right to attach a string on GB's wrist which can be pulled up when voting.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg misses Supreme Court arguments due to illness | Fox News

ignoring the circus show in the house there is the bigger issue right now.
she is 86 been treated for cancer at least 3 times.

her health is failing and it doesn't look good. it is possible that she might not be able
to continue her work on the bench. it is possible that trump could set a record as a president
and get to appoint a 3rd justice.

this country needs judges to uphold the constitution more than ever as right there is more and more effort to
undo freedom and liberty.

Sorry but Moscow Mitch has ruled that it is too close to an election to choose a justice. Believe me he will stick to that policy or else.

But I'm not BECAUSE I would be happy to see that happen to RBG under the circumstances I mentioned. To be clear, I am "not seeking" (prompting or encouraging anyone) but I confess that I am hoping for her natural death on a timely basis.

Where people less afraid to express their hopes, I am sure the death of evil people is one of the more popular among them.

Mind you, among those I would, will, or was happy to see die from accident or natural causes also include:

Stalin
Putin
Kim Il Sung
Eichmann
All four of the liberal Justices (save, perhaps, Breyer)
Warren (probably)

Yeah. That's disgusting

Yeah. That's disgusting

It's not conservative or Republican. Those people are not wishing for the deaths of political opponents. This is a separate thing.

Just wanna make that note.

New rule: A president facing impeachment should not be allowed to appoint new judges. The American people, who democratically elected the house Democrat majority, clearly do not want him to have unfettered power. We should wait until 2020 to see any appointments made.

Yeah, but see, then the Democrat jackasses could just launch a spurious impeachment willy-nilly without basis.

Oh wait.

Spare us the fake outrage, OK? You were doing cartwheels when Scalia died.

That's an idiotic and pathetic attempt at self apology. Something one might expect from a five year old.

I don't think a stomach virus is going to knock her out for too long.

Didn't Stalin's handlers say he had a stomach virus a few days before he died of stomach hemorrhaging? Marxists are very deceptive like that. My guess is they will keep any news of a serious condition a secret until well after the fact like they did a few months ago. One day we will hear she died, and it will seem so 'sudden'.

Which is why her timely demise should be hoped for. This country has long needed judges who apply the constitution as plainly written law, rather than invent law from mystical and epiphanic revelations from the text.

Ginsburg's timely departure my assist in the that elusive goal.

Ginsburg will have plenty to answer for in the afterlife with 40 million little babies watching her judgment. I don't judge people, but let's just say I wouldn't want to be in her shoes.

Is it this applying the constitution as plainly written law the way money became speech and corporations became people?

nice try, that means if there was an opening, and the house was held by the opposite party, they could prevent an appointment. I hope Trump can replace at least two more democrats. Roberts has become erratic

I don't recall that from Eco-but other lefties were orgasmic over Scalia dying and thinking Obama would get to put another justice in the mold of Kagan on the bench
