Ruth Bader Ginsburg misses court due to illness

Ruth Bader Ginsburg misses Supreme Court arguments due to illness | Fox News

ignoring the circus show in the house there is the bigger issue right now.
she is 86 been treated for cancer at least 3 times.

her health is failing and it doesn't look good. it is possible that she might not be able
to continue her work on the bench. it is possible that trump could set a record as a president
and get to appoint a 3rd justice.

this country needs judges to uphold the constitution more than ever as right there is more and more effort to
undo freedom and liberty.
Yes, by Trump’s agenda and actions.

If Khama is real, RBG will outlive Trump.

1. The dear lady should resign and spend her time taking care of her health.

2. We know that liberal activists do not want her to retire, lest President Trump appoint a Conservative replacement.

a. Those activists do not care about Justice Ginsburg's health. Shame on them.

3. When (not "if") a Dem president takes over in January, 2021, her resignation will be promptly announced.

2. We know that liberal activists do not want her to retire, lest President Trump appoint a Conservative replacement.
Silly TP, why do you think Ginsburg has been sticking it out in the first place? No one wants to prevent Trump from filling Ginsburg’s seat more than Ginsburg, herself.

Yep the right is trying more than ever to undermine the constitution and spit on it while undoing freedom and liberty. We are quite aware the Trump supporters are engaging in circle jerk sessions hoping for Ginsburg to either retire or die.

Most American patriots do not agree with the leftist interpretations of the Constitution which deny 1st and 2nd Amendment rights.

Imagine thinking Democrats wouldn't do the same thing. The only reason more didn't celebrate in the streets about Scalia dying was because they knew they weren't gonna be the ones replacing him.

New rule: A president facing impeachment should not be allowed to appoint new judges. The American people, who democratically elected the house Democrat majority, clearly do not want him to have unfettered power. We should wait until 2020 to see any appointments made.

this is why we have the constitution. it guides the rules not you thank God.

Totally agree and it's a very good reason not to allow Trump to appoint a new judge. But alas, I doubt there's a rule or a law against it so the opposition against any nominee would have to come from the public.

Republicans denied Obama his constitutional right because he only had a year left in office....so the same rule should apply to Trump since he only has a year left in office, too.

Obama has no constitutional right for who he picks to be put in place. Republicans would've voted no if it actually went through. I'm not sure why this irrelevant, stupid point is continuously made still.

Many of them probably would have, if it weren’t for McConnell essentially robbing Obama of his pick, Merrick Garland, to replace the late Justice.

So eager to stack the court, they're reduced to rooting for her death.

That's a bit of a far-fetched comment nothing in the EOP said anything about rooting for her death. But the Outlook doesn't look good for her. She should have stepped down 5 years ago.

When she leaves office there will be a spot open and that spot is political issue. That's what this topic is discussing.

Wrong. Obama did have the Constitutional right to nominate his pick to replace Scalia. Matter of fact, only the president can nominate a Supreme Court Justice. McConnell refused to even hold confirmation hearings. The first and only time in American history.

no obama wasn't denied his constitutional right. he chose a pick. the other side of that is confirmation.
they didn't confirm him as a justice.

no one stopped obama from submitting his pick.
these are called facts.

To be fair, the President is only given the power to nominate candidates for the Supreme Court, which Obama did do.

He did nominate Scalia’s replacement.

What's really funny is Republicans are acting like getting one (or even two) more Supreme Court Justices is some kind of long term solution. At best it's a few justices for 30-40 years.

Hell, we had pro slavery and anti women voting justices that we eventually purged. So this whole Trump/SC thing is a temporary thing that they think is HUGE.

And after ****ing over Obama in ‘16, saying that with less than a year left of his administration, it would be “unfair” to Americans to allow Garland’s confirmation to go forward, McConnell now says he would absolutely push through a nomination of Trump’s under the same conditions. Total dick.

Nah, I'm not going to debate the color of the sky anymore, especially not down in one of your rabbit holes. OP is rooting and you know it. At least maxparrish was honest about it.

Pure nonsense. Your side restricts freedom and liberty only to those who kiss their asses.
