Sanders, I-VT., said during a joint interview alongside the freshman House member.
"I don't know of any person -- I've been in Congress for a few years, who in the course of less than one year -- she's been in office less than one year, who has had more of an impact on American politics as a freshman member of Congress than she has."

whelp, there you go, I'm backing Bernie to get the DNC nod. Because watching that circus of a candidacy flame out in the general election would be the best popcorn viewing in politics since Mondale / Ferraro.
 
Why on earth is Bernie hitching his socialist wagon to AOC? Who wants her in a cabinet position?
I don't get the embrace he has for AOC and Ilhan Omar.
 
Thing is, AOC completely believes she is imminently deserving. With zero qualifications and experience, along with a profound lack of understanding of our Constitution and a whole host of other things like science and economics, she was eating that **** up.

Should we examine Trump's qualifications and experience? And you elected him to POTUS! You tell me who is dumb and who isn't. "Windmills cause cancer" says the science-savvy Trump, and "hurricanes are tremendously wet, from the standpoint of water". Your economic genius has presided over six (6) personal bankruptcies, owes at least $2 billion to Deutsche Bank, can't get a loan in America because banks have figured out he's a liability and, despite promises to "eradicate" national debt, has added at least $2 trillion to it in three years. You must be so proud of the results that his qualifications and experience have produced.

Principled old men like to see young leaders. Bernie is concerned about the country, not political bull****.

I hope he might include Tulsi in his administration were he to win.

I hope Warren might include Tulsi in her administration should she win.

This country needs young leaders badly.

AOC is no leader. as Obama was no leader. She is an activist and organizer.
Tulsi is imminently more intelligent, American, qualified, experienced and deserving.

Bernie is making a play for the 2020 John McCain, "worst running mate" award. Or he would if AOC was just a little bit older and could run for president.

Still worth an honorable mention.

That remains to be seen, as to their leadership qualities. As with so many things, history often creates leaders.

Trump has been coasting on an improving economy given him by Obama. I don't think it would be greatly different under AOC, nor do I believe Trump knows what he's doing at all.

I think that's a grievous disservice to AOC's constituents as she's pursuing her own interests and attempts at furthering her career in lieu of actually legislating. She does not beling in Congress and I hope they vote for better representation next time.

Activists are some of those whose dedication to a just cause achieved universal suffrage for disenfranchised women. A very good thing. Activists won equal rights for black Americans. A very good thing. Activists won independence for America from English rule. A very good thing. So, your problem with activists is...? Oh and how is Tulsi "more American" than Cortez? I really need to hear this!

Because AOC and Ilhan Omar (and Tlaib) are progressive champions (I would argue are rockstars) who were inspired to run by Bernie Sanders specifically. They are uncorrupted by money or corporate influence and have a genuine desire to help the American people through policy. That's why Bernie Sanders supports them.

AOC is not even that. She is a college graduate who's best job offer was as a bartender in a taco shop. She answered a casting call for a candidate seat.
