An epic ‘Meet the Press’ rant unmasks the real goal of Trump’s lies

His policy is "American policy" for so long as he is POTUS

No it is not. He cannot surrender this nation to Putin because he is promised a Trump Tower in Moscow. He is not King

This gets to the heart of the Trump/Ukraine scandal

And, for your right wingnuts/partisan hacks, "liberal democracy" refers to democracy in general, as in the opposite of authoritarian totalitarianism, as in classic liberalism ( if you don't know what that is, google it).

It does not mean liberal in the sense of leftist politics, nor has the term 'liberal democracy" ever meant that. It simply means a free and open society, unlike the authoritarian totalitarian unfree societies of USSR, etc. So, don't bother going there, it's false.

In reading your post, I feel the frustration and pain in your voice trying to explain such basic concepts to Trump supporters. But don’t bother. It’s not that they don’t understand it. You’re not going to change anyone’s mind by explaining these basic concepts. They know. They are big boys and girls. They understand all this. They just look for anything, including semantics, to defend their cult prophet. You’re not going to change anyone’s mind by explaining basic concepts and trying to appeal to facts and reason. They understand all this. They just look for anything, including semantics, to defend their cult prophet. This is a matter of faith and devotion, of culture and identity, not reason and rationality.

Every move by Trump in the Ukraine saga has aided Russia.

I think Trump is looking for a safe landing place in 2020 that doesn't do extraditions.

Perhaps Putin will offer him the suite that Trump offered Putin as a bribe in 2016 in the Trump Tower Moscow.

Wow! Trump can do no wrong in your eyes, can he?

What if he decided to take the money allotted by Congress to the Ukraine and instead put it towards he glorious southern border wall? You'd be OK with that, right? After all, it's his money to do with whatever he wants, right?

TDSer: "It doesn't matter what Trump has done, it's all some Deep State plot against his Presidency!"

Four of the five sitting Federal Reserve governors, for instance, were Republicans handpicked for their current positions by Trump, and yet Trump now says they represent the “biggest threat” to his presidency and are an “enemy” to America. He has similarly accused his own Cabinet members, White House counsel, FBI director and other senior officials of allegedly plotting against him.

I guess I find it odd how, if he really IS the BEST at picking staff, why Trump can't seem to hold onto people who he actually hand picked and approved of.
According to Trump, everyone he hires turns out to be Deep State plotters working to overthrow him, even when he picks people who have zero government service experience. Apparently he seems to think that "the Deep State" has managed to "get to them all".

Yeah, right.

I tell people I meet from other countries, "There more stupid people per square mile in America than in any of the western developed nations".

Whenever any election, anywhere, doesn’t go how liberals want it to, liberals immediately respond by claiming that the country isn’t a real democracy. It’s tiresome, and people aren’t falling for it anymore.

That's funny, I've observed the opposite, for at times when i mention that AMerica is a democracy, repubs say it isn't, they say it's a republic.

Well, I looked it up, and the definition said that a republic is a representative democracy.

Sorry, but you're flat out wrong.
Kings have that kind of power if they are absolute monarchs.
We do not live in an absolute monarchy.

You forgot the word "dumb" before the phrase "American policy".

It is shocking how eager some of these Trump people want so badly to be ruled by an autocratic tyrant.
Their raw naked desire for an authoritarian with an iron fist is disturbing.

It is easy to understand their desire when you realize they don’t consider liberals/democrats to be politically legitimate.

We are way past that point.
Even here in our tiny DP microcosm, right off the top of my head, I can count no fewer than a baker's dozen members who not only think everyone else is illegitimate, we're criminals and terrorists, and we should be locked up for treason for even daring to oppose Trump.

At this point, at about 11 months and two weeks to go, we've already been branded as fair game by the impotent whiny militia smellers.
Trump is already signaling to his apes and thugs, indicating he'd be very pleased if they roughed up a few libtards.

Empty blather. A WaPo "opinion" and your nodding your head like a dashboard bobblehead on a washboard road.

As President, Trump can "retreat" pretty much at will from foreign countries if he so desires. He has no duty to maintain the policies of past administrations. Likewise, the next President will have no duty to maintain the policies of the current administration.

Exactly. And as Trump has told us, only a fool would trust America over Russia. And let's face it, with him in charge, he's likely correct.

Retreating from a liberal democracy and moving towards authoritarian State favoring Putin is not something you should support as well, nor should anyone for that matter

Trump and Putin are both elected leaders. The fact that you don't like how the people voted does not change the validity of their choices.

And what did you say when Obama was elected I wonder. Actually I don't wonder at all; 'communist', 'not a real American', 'Kenyan fraud'. Am I close?

Yes, and they clearly demonstrate how stupid people can be in their voting habits. Still, Trump hasn't had anyone killed for daring to oppose him, unlike his good pal ex-KGB boss Vlad the Destroyer.

Iirc, Kim Jong Un is also elected.

I'm sure Putin and Un's elections were valid as can be.
