What? :doh

So the President calls an advisor to complain about something? So what!?!

What do you think aides, advisors, personal assistants, etc. are hired to do? They run errands, give advice, provide information, and listen to the boss gripe.

Water is wet, the Sun rises in the East, and sometimes bosses call aides to vent. Big deal. :coffeepap:

No one is as stupid as you imagine.

Trump never had to go out of his way to work or learn anything. His parents never felt the need to challenge Trump in any way. Trump was never intellectually challenged and has lived his whole life in a bubble.

That is why he talks and constructs sentences like a first-grader--because he simply is not smart.

All his life he has automatically gotten what he wanted so he is not used to other people challenging him or his claims. So now what he wants he throws tantrums to persuade others to think he is right. It seem like he never grew up intellectually past the age of 5.

What is most disturbing are the folks who strongly support him regardless of the facts.

This story illustrates exactly what these closed door testimonies are all about.

1. The Lawfare lawyer who was hired by the House Intel committee asks some State Department aide about a phone call between Trump and Bolton. Out of all the discussions between the two men, THIS is the specific phone call that is addressed. This phone call has nothing to do with Ukraine. It has nothing to do with anything that is impeachable.

2. The aide dutifully tells the attorney about it.

3. The committee releases a transcript of the testimony, including this unrelated, irrelevant nugget of Presidential life.

4. Out of everything in the transcript, the only thing the media seizes upon is this irrelevant event and they splash it across the media with an "OMG!!! LOOK WHAT TRUMP DID!!" connotation.

We can expect these House lawyers...from all of the committees...to inject irrelevant stuff into the record so that the media can use it to influence public opinion more and more. After all, that's the purpose of this charade.

It's all about Election 2020.

It's sworn testimony regarding the President of the US. Not rumors about some guy down the street.

House lawyer: What can you tell me about the President's visit to your office?

Office flunky: I saw him excuse himself to go to the bathroom and he was in there for 20 minutes.

Media Headlines:

TRUMP SPENDS 20 MINUTES IN BATHROOM!! DOES HE HAVE PROBLEMS??

DOES TRUMP HAVE A DRUG PROBLEM???

WHAT WAS TRUMP DOING IN THE BATHROOM FOR 20 MINUTES? IS THIS A NATIONAL SECURITY ISSUE??

It's unimportant stuff injected into the record so the media can go crazy and engage in wild speculation.

Apparently Trump was worried that a legit military exercise in a region that it an absolute right to be in was going to offend Putin.

That's the point, whatever Putin wants, Trump makes sure he gets his way.

Don't have a conniption, but anything that Trump does that demonstrates how Trump is obsequious and deferential to Putin is something the American people should be concerned about.

Why? Because it's unusual (and dangerous) for a president to be so fawning over an enemy as Trump does.

What is amazing is your response, that how Trump acts towards Putin isn't a concern to you, it's as if you left your brain at the train station when you came home.

And all this time I thought Trumpkins were dead set against paraphrasing or retelling your version of events that had occurred?

You won't see me doing it in a committee hearing.
