Alright, I'll play this stupid game with you.....

Granting you the premise that these people actually went into the positions they were in as plants who were really out to get the President, it begs this question....when he was on the campaign trail, he bragged repeatedly about only hiring the best people. If what you are contending is true, how can what he claimed ALSO be true, as you can't be hiring the best if you can't figure out that they are really wolves in sheeps clothing, right?

Though I guess I could be looking at that the wrong way......maybe he meant hiring the best in terms of hiring those that would potentially be most capable of keeping him from letting the ship hit the iceberg. If that is what he meant, too bad he wasn't smart enough to let them do the job.

Except the Secretary of State and chief of staff are not easily dismissed as "buffoons". They are serious men at the top of the government. You have to wonder about Haley's motivation in telling the public on the one hand that she's loyal to the President and, on the other hand, that two top officials thought Trump was a danger to the country and needed to be circumvented. I doubt Trump thinks this tell all does him any favor.

To be fair, that was mostly Cheney and Rummy at the helm of that debacle. I kind of feel bad for Bush because he was too rube-ish to recognize what those two were getting him into. In that case, it was more the opposite of this.....he let those he brought in lead him down a bad path.

Trump is looking for people who will let him lead us all down a bad path and not say **** about it.

No more so than it triggered some that he was roundly booed at a UFC fight and a baseball game, I guess.

Oh, and it was clarified because it was so poorly put out in the first place, for the record. We ended up with the Trumpslaination....what was originally said was what was originally reported, they just changed it later because it sounded as bad in public as it should have sounded in thier heads before they put it out there.

And that's fine. The democrats have gone through all their investigations and Republicans have come up with nothing and and Trump and his team are going through their's now and there's already evidence to show where he extorted their country for personal gain. Plus some of his guys are already in federal prisons.

This is not going to turn out well for you guys and you need to start preparing for that.

For the record, if that was what he wanted to do, he could have just pulled a cabinet from one of his rallies and gotten exactly what he wanted. Probably could have gotten them confirmed even, given that Mitch was never gonna do anything to piss off Der Kommissar.
