It is becoming impossible to discuss anything on this site anymore.

If you disagree with anything that a progressive/liberal/democrat writes or thinks you are usually labelled a cultist or a Trumpet....they dont argue the value of your thought or idea....they attack you because you are ONE OF THEM

And yes, i am sure some times you are being attacked just as well....

I think it is a microcosm of America....

And something needs to happen to break the mold....the animosity and anger displayed is frightening

And i know we are more enlightened and better informed than the majority of other people.

I think we all care what happens to our country....and yes, we have differing views on how we should do things

I just see this coming to a really bad ending....and even though i love discussing politics, this is no longer fun...no longer educational...

We should be able to discuss differences as adults....but maybe that is just too much to ask now

How do you discuss differences when the folks on the right use kellyanne's alternative facts? If I thought trump was innocent I would say so and take the crap from the left for saying so. I'm out for truth not party.

Because the "Left" Socialist/Communist/Democrats (Propose Unilateral Gun Confiscation) has been exposed, there is no longer reason to pretend.

For those in tune to he tactics of the "Left", nothing has changed. It is nice that to see another enlightened. There was never actual resolution based discussion with the "Left" as chaos and disruption is the goal. While the "Right" seeks resolution to an issue (like Los Angeles homeless), the "Left" views this as a success story, with the add bonus of see the "Right" upset. Miserable, is who they are, and want the "Right" to join them.



The Original Post has "triggered" the "Left". Look at response #2, all three sentences are either counterproductive, circular reasoning or nonsense.

You try to advise once, and then turn them off

I have had to put over 20 people on ignore....because i just cant discuss things with them rationally

I dont know....i just see this place turning ugly.....i dont like it

Some good points.

Plus, the impeachment hoax is INCREDIBLY boring.

But here's what's happening:

If one doesn't buy into the insane CT, one is attacked; it's pretty standard stuff in the CT world.

"If you don't rubber stamp our delusions, you're one of THEM!!!!"

The biggest problem I see, is we are being given two sets of facts depending on our sources. So of course, people are dug in. You're not going to go against what you believe!

If you admit that Trump is corrupt, then we won't call you that. Until you exhibit some intellectual honesty, you will continue to be called a Trump cultist.

I'd guess a fairly large number of us have no idea what comprises "Kellyanne's alternative facts". I'd suggest the sources many of you guys use are just as shaky or ill-informed as yo think Kellyanne is.

We're given the same set of facts, but the Liberals misinterpret the living **** out of them, even lie about what's being said. While that's nothing new, you all have kicked it into overdrive since Trump got elected.

I think the Trump haters imagined things to be very different right about now. Trump would be found to have colluded with Russia and/or their Democrat 2020 race would be promising, and they could look forward to their "long, national nightmare" being over soon, if it wasn't over already. I think reality is getting very frustrating, and they take it out on others.
Agree it's getting unbearable.

What gives you the right to judge another's intellectual honesty? Only those that fall in line with your set of beliefs have the right to respect and the right to be heard?

I sympathize with you gdgyva, but it is hard to tell genuine discourse from the quoted post from people like BlueElk just muddy the waters with pointless nonsense. However, thank you (and I mean it) as posts like your remind me that there are people who do care about this country beyond people of my political persuasion (unfortunately that reminder is needed).

I love this country and want to do right by it, just like you (but yes, we disagree on how to get there, but generally want a situation where people in general have a great and happy life)

Just saw on tv where forty percent of republicans don't think trump mentioned the bidens on this now notorious phone call. He did. Those kinds of alternative facts.

Here’s a tip: you won’t get very far with phrases like “socialist communist democrats.” Sort of like “fascist Nazi republicans,” it doesnt promote dialog.

Trump's corruption is not a "belief". It is a fact. Even the ****ing people that work for him have said Trump is corrupt.

Sorry, no. You're picking and choosing your facts just as strongly as you accuse those of us on the right. Even more so, because you are unable to understand the support we give Trump is because he's taking the correct actions, not because he's Trump. You guys on the left are more prone to cultish behavior - look at the adoration and worship you honored Obama with. He could literally do no wrong. Most of us have no illusions as to Trump's "perfection" or "holiness"; he gets the job done, that's all. When he uses the FBI and DOJ to spy on his opponents get back to me; until then you ain't got ****.
