Washington Nationals Kurt Suzuki Becomes Twitter Target After Donning A MAGA Hat

"Sticks and stones will break my bones, but words will never hurt me"

Twitter is words.

Weak ass OP.

If that is the case why do so many people get triggered after every Trump tweet?

1. In this toxic political atmosphere, "celebrities" should be cautious.

a. Actors should stick to acting.
b. Athletes should stick to playing.
c. Singers should stick to singing.

etc.

Those "celebrities" should not say or wear anything that is provocative.

Their job in life is to entertain us.

They should be political eunuchs.

It's far more than wearing a hat. It is showing support for Trump and the things he has done.

He should be prepared to lose fans, possibly endorsement deals, etc, and face criticism from people who, apparently unlike him, actually care about their fellow man.

Because this man wore a Trump hat, you believe he does not "care about his fellow man"? Your comments say a lot more about you, then it ever will about Kurt.

Other than conservative, white males who support him, who do you believe Donald Trump cares one iota about?

The disabled he mocked?
The veterans who has their heroism questioned by him?
Women who he has repeatedly made clear are only valuable as sexual objects to him rated on a scale of 1-10?
Hispanics he has demonized as invaders, rapists, murderers, and drug dealers?
African Americans he has repeatedly gone out of his way to antagonize, including referring to several as "son of a bitch".

When you embrace Trump, you embrace this ugly, small minded view of the world. And when you do that you make it clear exactly what it is you do value or that you are too ignorant to realize you are being used.

Since you were speaking directly about Kurt in your response " apparently unlike him, actually care about their fellow man" Please be clear why you believe Kurt does not care about his fellow man? Honestly, it appears by your own comment that you may possibly "embrace this ugly, small minded view of the world". You are basing your opinion of this man, based solely on the hat he wears.

Are we going to pretend that hat doesn't represent support for Donald Trump in all of his ugliness and an extended middle finger towards all of the people and groups he has spent years attacking, insulting, and mocking?

So what if the hat represents his support of Donald Trump? You stated Kurt "doesn't actually care about his fellow man". How so? Once again, you are basing your thought process and opinion of this man based solely on his support of our elected President without knowing anything else about him.

Someone making the choice to still be supporting Donald Trump at this point tells me a great deal about them and what they value. Many of the Nationals fans who were wildly booing the man last week will no doubt some to the same conclusion.

So...you are basing that Kurt "doesn't actually care about his fellow man" based solely on his support of the President of the United States Donald Trump. I see that as part of the problem we are facing as a nation right now. Its fine to disagree with someone's political affiliation, but for me that does not mean they "don't care about their fellow man". I have friends and family with much different political as well as religious affiliations than the ones I have chosen. It doesn't mean they "don't care about their fellow man", it just means we have differing viewpoints. My own two daughters have VERY differing views politically, and yet they are both fine young woman capable of making their own choices. Despite their differences, I would never consider either of them do not care about their fellow man, nor more than I would consider that with Kurt Suzuki.

It is a shame people can’t have their own views and opinions without being attacked by the left. If you don’t agree with the left’s view, you are on the wrong side and will be destroyed.
People are fearful of showing their support for anything the left hates, Trump and NRA are examples.

My wife is a scout leader and gave me an NRA Sport shirt. I don’t wear it in public for fear of harassment and I don’t even own a gun or an NRA member.
The left’s action are simply an intimidation tactic so people won’t vote for Trump.

The Left are Bolsheviks. If you are not 100% pure in your ideology, you are attacked and rejected.

I'm voting Trump 2020, and I will cheer ALL my N-A-T-S, Nats! Nats! Nats! Wooooooo! in 2020.

You are a wonderful, SANE parents, who raised (is raising) 2 SANE daughters. Thank you.

Even Obama is warning about this extremist "cancel culture". They used to worship the man. Now, they don't even listen to his warnings.

On the topic of mocking the heroism of POWs, there is a right side and a wrong side to choose.
On the topic of mocking the appearance of women or bragging about using your power to force yourself on them, there is a right side and a wrong side.
On the topic of believing there were "very good people" among the white nationalists in Charlottesville chanting "Jews will not replace us" as they marched around monuments to racist traitors, there is a right side and a wrong side.

On example after example of Trump's words and behavior there is a definitive right side and a definitive wrong side. When someone makes the choice to side with Trump, they tell those around them that they are fine with choosing the wrong side, the side of ugliness, ignorance, and hate. We are not talking about casual differences about trade policy or what the proper tax rate should be. We are talking about right and wrong. Truth vs lies. Reality vs the bizarro world that Trumpists have created for themselves.

You cannot be, at this point, both a good person and a Trump supporter.

I have greatly enjoyed conversations with my daughters. They have the most interesting conversations, and are able to discuss issues that they do not agree completely on but are willing to listen to each others point of view and be respectful. My best friend and I also have differing political affiliations and have been able to have some great discussions. I just don't understand the logic of instantly making the decision that someone "doesn't care about their fellow man" because they support one political candidate over another. I believe that can be dangerous.

To say that one is not a good person, solely based on their support of the President of the United States say a great deal more about you, then them. You by all means are free to believe what you believe, I just disagree with your comments.

Let's run a hypothetical here....remove Trump from the equation.

Let's say there is a local race for a seat on a school board. One of your friends comes out in support of a candidate you don't like. It it soon revealed that the candidate is a convicted sexual predator. Your friend maintains their support. A week later it comes out that the candidate used to be affiliated with the KKK. Your friend maintains their support.

At what point do you look at this friend and question not just their values, but your relationship with them? Or do you believe that the positions we take do not reflect on who we are as people?

Very sad. Thanks Trump.

trump has nothing to do with it. rabid crazy leftist are the issue.
why do you think it is ok to attack someone?

please justify what they are doing and it has nothing to do with trump.

Yes I am well aware of what you tolerate- a race baiter in the WH is more than tolerated with far to many in Trumps base.

this has nothing to do with trump. this has to do with leftist rabid nutjobs attacking someone.
why do you support that type of behavior is the real question here.

blaming trump for the actions of others is well not how this works.

"Sticks and stones will break my bones, but words will never hurt me"

Weak ass OP.

no it goes a bit deeper than twitter.
people have been physically assaulted for expressing their support.

why do you condone that type of behavior?

I believe we all are capable of forming our own values. My values may or may not be the same as yours. That does not make either of us better or worse than the other. I have friends from all walks of life, religious preferences, social status, financial means, sexual orientation etc. I also have a friend who has been in prison, one who has had an abortion, and several that are recovering drug addicts. Obviously, we do not share all the same values, but that does not necessarily mean they are not capable of caring for their fellow man, though their values may differ from mine. If you are judging a persons ability to care for their fellow man, based solely on their support of President Trump then that's on you.

The Democrat party used to be big tent--when they were liberal. Now, they are not even small tent: they are phone booth.

If you believe all values are equally moral and just, regardless of how abhorrent they might be, that just strikes me as someone who stands for nothing at all. And sadly, that is a position way too many people seem content to take.

Bunch of thin skinned crybaby snowflakes. Spineless republicans. What a joke.

Ohhh, woe is me, I'm a VICTIM!

Hilarious that this is the hill you'll die on, while you ignore the fact sitting members of congress are routinely getting death threats from the MAGA douche cult.

That is not what I said, and you know it. You made the decision to judge Kurt as a man who "doesn't care about their fellow man" based solely on the fact that he supports the President of the United States. You are free to place such judgements on someone you know very little about. I am free not to. Carry on..

God bless Kurt Suzuki and Ryan Zimmerman.

God bless Trump. God bless America.
