We didn't find out the identity of Deep Throat until decades after Nixon resigned. We didn't need to know, and it is only by guaranteeing the anonymity of these sources that we can insure they will continue to gives the information we need to eliminate corruption from our Government.

Face reality. Your boy Trump is the single most corrupt President in all of American history. Virtually every crime you accused Hillary Clinton of Trump was in fact guilty of and then some. The Trump administration convinced themselves that Hillary and Obama were doing all these things so they had no choice, but to do it themselves. They justified their actions by deluding themselves into thinking Liberals were as corrupt as they were. But none of that was ever true.

What do they fear? I dunno, maybe the fact that the President, upon learning of their existence, pretty much immediately took to social media, accused them of being guilty of treason, and insinuated they should be killed?

How would anyone feel if the President of the United States pointed his tens of millions of dangerous, deluded followers in the direction of them and their families?

The impeachment inquiry was launched after it was already demonstrated that their was validity to what the whistle blower said. Trump's own dumb ass released a transcript of the very call in question not realizing that he was actually confirming the crime that he had committed.

Whistleblowers are routinely targeted for retribution for doing their jobs, and alerting their superiors to potential problems. That's the whole point of those protection laws.

We should also note that at this point, the identity of the whistleblower is irrelevant. Almost everything he reported on is already corroborated by other witnesses.

For example, let's say the police receive a phone call that shots were fired at a certain address. The police arrive, they investigate the scene, they find the gun, they find a body full of bullets, and they take witness statements from 6 neighbors. It doesn't matter if the person who made the phone call was someone who utterly hated the alleged shooter, because a) their report was accurate enough to start a legitimate investigation and b) the police were able to find more than enough evidence to make the identity of the first caller irrelevant.


My I remind you the WB that outted the CEOs of the tobacco companies came forward for all to see.

You're referring to Jeffrey Wigand. He objected to the use of potentially harmful substances in the product, and was fired. He then blew the whistle on his former employers, and for years was harassed in public, received death threats, and was threatened with lawsuits by some of the wealthiest and well-connected companies in the US. His pay dropped from $300k/yr to $30k/yr.

The experiences of people like Wigand are precisely why we have whistleblower laws.

Do you think Schiff made up all the testimony that has been given? If not, your argument falls apart. Who the whistleblower is is entirely irrelevant to the facts of the case. If the whistleblower complaint turns out to be accurate, and so far it has been at least partly so, then why would it matter who they are?

The whistle-blower is an irrelevant distraction. They followed the law and submitted their complaint to the ICIG. Who is a Trump appointee, mind you. It is this man, the IGIG, who then had to work to corroborate the complaint, and found it to be both urgent and credible. At this point, the whistle-blower is completely out of the picture. The ICIG now acts as the accuser.

All of this of course does nothing to change the fact the veracity of the WB complaint has already been corroborated through the depositions of other witnesses to the abuse of power committed by Trump.

Anyone still raging about the WB, their identity, or a demand of their testimony is doing so out of a weak deflection attempt to avoid discussing the very real high crimes committed by Trump.

Your absurd claim would be somewhat accurate if not for the fact the complaint was delivered via proper channels to the ICIG, who then had to independently verify the claims before sending them on. That prevents "telling lies about anyone they wish, and never being called to account."

Logic is not everyone's strong suit apparently. Regardless of ones chosen moniker.

Honestly, who cares? Who cares if the WB is the swampiest, deep statiest, deep stater of them all? Who cares if he hated Trump, went to sleep with an stuffed Obama doll on his pillow, under posters of Hillary Clinton taped all over his bedroom wall. None of that changes the reality that the information submitted in the complaint, which we can all read for ourselves, was corroborated and accurate. And it was properly given to the ICIG, who corroborated it and verified its veracity before acting upon it as urgent and credible. End of story.

Again, not being logical or ignorant of how the process works. The WB reports a problem to their supervisor who then investigates the item brought up by the WB to see if it is a legitimate complaint. In this case the WB's supervisor not only thought it was legitimate, but needed to be looked at right away. Of course Barr being Trump's lawyer instead of our lawyer did nothing and then the supervisor reported it to Congress.

A whistleblower is supposed to report any wrong doing they see or hear about. The WB in this case did so and his supervisor not only thought it to be a legitimate problem, but also though it needed to be looked at immediately. I am sure if this had been Obama, you would have not problem.

I would think he does not want people to know because he has received death threats for him and his family from people who do worship at Trump's feet. And in reality, the law supports him. If what proves to be true? We already know Trump did the Ukraine call. We already know Ukraine got aid. We already know that Ukraine didn't investigate Biden due to to Trump's call.
