Are you kidding me? We're going to go to war with each other over Donald Trump?? Any president who would prefer civil war to being removed from office does not love their country and is certainly not serving it. The behavior of the right is inexcusable not to mention it's downright sickening. They want a civil war, they want to lock arms with each other to start killing fellow Americans over Trump -- really, what the hell is wrong with people? They have guns and they want to start killing other Americans with those guns. These people have hearts as black as oil if they have it inside their hearts to be able to freely murder anyone that opposes Trump.
Just three days ago, speaking
on the floor of the U.S. Congress Congressman Louie Gohmert made this outrageous statement:
"They want it to be a one -sided due process sham court, and it's about to push this country to a civil war if they were to get their wishes. And if there's one thing I don't want to see in my lifetime, I don't wanna ever have participation in, it's a civil war. Some historian, I don't remember who, said 'guns are involved in the last phase of the civil war."
This isn't the first time that republicans have threatened to possibility of a civil war when something doesn't go their way. Multiple members of Congress, religious leaders and conservative pundits on Fox have been using that inflammatory rhetoric for a long while now. It's not without consequences.
This week marks one year when a fan of Trump was arrested for mailing over a dozen pipe bombs to prominent democrats, news organizations and critics of Trump who are often the targets of Trump's rage. The shooter in El Paso a few months ago shot 22 people in a rage targeting immigrants at a Walmart at what he called "a Hispanic invasion" of Texas.
Earlier this week, Democratic Senator David Cicilline received a voice mail message that said
"You tryin' to start a ****ing civil war? Well, you just keep on talkin', pal. We're already startin' it, we're ready for it, we're planning it, and it's not going to be good for you or your ****ing weak ass, I'll tell you that right now, '****salini, you punk little bitch. Trump 2020!"
The hateful and vile speech by Congressmen like Louie Gohmert and Steve King who recently tweeted out something about 'red states' having
'8 trillion bullets' and 'we're not afraid to use them' in the event of a civil war. This hateful speech proves they have no defense of Trump's conduct on the merits so they behave like common criminals. Hate is born of weakness, fear and insecurities. These Congressmen are literally saying that if the legal process that's being conducted in the Congress doesn't go Trump's way that there will be violence. It's irresponsible to say the least and completely antithetical to all this country stands for. People can't stop doing what's right just because of how some people are threatening to react.
If the evidence shows that Trump is a criminal president then impeachment is the right thing to do. Trump re-tweeted a Fox pundit, Pastor Robert Jeffress in September that was very clearly threatening a Civil War.

This behavior by the right isn't all coming from white supremacists, it's coming from every day people in red states that have been welded to Trump and out of blind loyalties, they are not only willing to murder other Americans, they're ready, willing and extremely anxious to do exactly that.
