This is an excellent article from Rolling Stone about the impeachable offenses that Trump has committed, and the historical context compared to other Presidents' crimes.

Waiting for the 2020 election to remove Trump from office would be an egregious mistake. Anyone who thinks this is a wise course of action vastly underestimates the threat to our democracy posed by Trump.

I particularly liked this quote about the idiotic "Deep State" hysteria:

I don't care what the Republicans in the House do, Democrats already have the votes. We'll see what happens in the Senate. I don't think it's a sure thing for Trump. Public testimony in Congress hasn't started yet, it's going to get worse for him.

Perhaps you would answer when,if there is a time when it would be too late to impeach without compromising a free and fair election in 2020. For example if the House waited until August 2020 just before or after the conventions would that be OK with you as long as Democrats voted to impeach?

You seem to be assuming that the 2020 election is going to be "free and fair". Did you read any of the Mueller Report? I think you should be more concerned about Russian interference in the 2020 election, and Trump welcoming that interference, than about when the impeachment trial occurs.

Russians and others have interfered in our elections for decades. As we have done the same throughout the world. Yes social media is a new weapon which could/will be used. Perhaps the Chinese will work to elect Biden or any democrat same with Iran.

i don't see a lot of winning scenarios in this for Democrats. i would have advised to focus everything they had on defeating him and then prosecuting the **** out of him for obstruction and whatever financial / bribery / campaign finance / etc. / laws that he has broken once he is out of office. however, they chose this path, so now they're committed.

Please provide evidence of this "decades" of interference in our elections. And if you're assuming the Russians will stop at social media, you are making a huge miscalculation.

if you have the goods on Trump...bring it out on floor...put it on TV....openly debate and have the witnesses testify
