If President Trump is Responsible For The Great Economy, Then......

Should he not be responsible if we go into recession?

What say you Trumpers?

when his stupid trade war and other bad decisions finally overcomes inertia, the coke bump tax cuts for the rich, and the rate cuts that should have been saved for a recession, cultists will still blame Democrats for the recession. they'll probably cite impeachment and whatever other talking points fox inserts into their heads.

It isn't an excuse, it's a fact. Trump inherited a growing economy from Obama. What you clearly fail to understand is that, like a supertanker, economies cannot stop on a dime. What you are giving Trump credit for is the impetus Obama created, and you hate that fact.

So you want to do the qualifier game?

Ok. I'll ignore your posts on this subject.

Well it is

Prove me wrong?

Not going to play games. Anyone can check it on Google in 10 seconds. It is a falsehood using cute language that if said by a politician you don't like would be called a lie.

Well, this is why you are a Republican. Simplicity works best for you.

Congress controls the purse strings, dear man. But feel free to ignore that asteroid crashing down on your head as you stick to your guns.

So it's excuses and subjective political bias that fuels your truth.

Tell you what dear man, stick to whatever excuses that fuels your political bias.

I've tried to hit it home 3X's but nobody was home

Maybe I'll have better luck on a future post

Maybe you should have something in your hands when you tried to hit it home. Probably be more successful if you did that.

Seriously? Do I NEED to keep repeating myself?

Do I NEED to keep repeating myself?

Again, I didn't hear anything else but Trumps lofty goals that haven't happened yet and blame put on the Fed?

"Subjective political bias"! Oh the irony!:2rofll:

Irony?

LOL

I've simply put responsibility for whatever the economy is doing on the person sitting in the White House, during the time they are there.

You want to qualify everything and say it's "not their fault because", or "they did nothing because they inherited". That's just subjective excuse making.

That's endless and will never answer the question asked.

Bet you can't comprehend why that is a fact.

If you had read my posts, you certainly heard more than that.

But hey...you know what they say about liberals and pretending not to know things, right?

What you said is total nonsense. Economic and financial decisions made in previous Presidential administrations absolutely affect future Presidential administrations. Just like Bush's massive tax cuts in 2001 and 2003 caused huge deficits for Obama.

Are you going to deny that simple truth? Of course you are.

I don't disagree. But where do you cut it off?

We could point to 1000 things that Congress did, or didn't do, that may, or may not have had an impact on the economy. Where does that end?

For the most part, that's just an endless subjective debate.

You just boldly stated that you cut it off at the end of a President's administration! And I'm telling you why you are wrong.

I take it you prefer there is no answer to the question that had been asked. Everything will be qualified.

Bush II isn't responsible for the great recession because it was Clinton, the Banks, and the Democrats who demanded people who couldn't afford to buy home get a way to do so.

We could go on and on and on.

Wow. This totally contradicts what you just stated in post #66.

But at least you are now admitting that what you stated in post #66 was total bunk. So I will tip my hat to you.

No, I explained the reason why Trump is claiming all the glory. You don't like the answer-and it's you making the excuses. Not my problem mate, and that's another fact. How's Trump's vanity wall coming along, by the way? Any progress-or is he still waiting for Mexico's 10% down payment three years in?

No it doesn't.

I simply applied your logic to the question by using it to comment on the Bush II administration. Just subjective excuses and qualifiers.

In post #66, I stated whatever the economy is doing should be attributed to the person in the White House, inherited, responsible, or not. Doesn't matter.

I guess these simple concepts are too challenging for you to understand.

You're just making excuses that you can't prove, because it's not possible for you to give any credit to someone you hate so much.

Go that route, and there is no way to answer the question asked.

No, but they are way too challenging for you to understand.

If I rack up a massive debt, and then I hand you my credit card bill, are you now responsible for my mistakes?

If I give you $100,000, are you now responsible for my success? That's what you seem to be implying regarding the improved economy that Obama gave to Trump.

Your arguments are simplistic and asinine.

You are dismissed. Learn how to have a rational and mature discussion.

I notice you avoided who appointed the current Fed Chairman?(LOL)

I'm old enough to remember when Donald J. Trump said that a 1.9% GDP meant the economy was in "big trouble".

Of course, that was when the black man was in office.

Word.

There were so many metrics which he said meant that the economy was in trouble when Obama was in office, but as soon as he took office those same (or worse) numbers meant that the economy was "booming" and he and his fluffers were giving him credit for it.

January 19, 2017 "Obama economy bad"
January 20, 2017 "Trump economy booming"

I suspect he started his trade wars in 2018 because he couldn't stand the reality that he was coasting on the economy he inherited from Obama and so he took the brass knuckles to us so that he would get attention. Now he's pissed that we're looking at his incompetence and carnage and not thanking him for brutalizing us.

Correct. The fact that he inherited a growing economy from Obama was a giant gift he was given.

Now, he was also given a decreasing national deficit from Obama and he blew it the hell up. All for a massive tax cut for himself and his kids.

It WAS a (borrowed and taken out of healthcare) massive tax cut for trump and his kids, but it was a lot more (and worse) than that.

The real issue isn't trump or even Republicans, but plutocracy. The plutocrats have obtained and caused these trillions to be redistributed to themselves, permanently, repeatedly for decades.
