Isn't the truth what we are ALL seeking?

Complaints (or should I say........excuses) are running rampant from the Republican side. "Process is wrong", they say, "unfair", they say, "witch hunt" they say.

Is anyone interested in finding out if Trump is actually guilty or not of abuse of power?

In the end, everything will be done by legal standards and ultimately by vote in the Senate. Why so many complaints? This is all being done according to the Constitution.

and even then, this is the field of play that Trump brought himself to this administration. He wanted to change the way things are done, change the standards,...... and now those that wanted that are complaining that rules are not being followed? isn't that pure hypocrisy?

Legal process is important. While I see nothing wrong with the impeachment inquiry process as it stands so far, it is legitimate to question the process if one sees glaring issues with it. Truth is important, but violating the law to find it is unacceptable. I do not see any evidence that the Democrats have violated any legal process in this inquiry, but if I did I would certainly be siding with the Republicans and would support throwing out any evidence gathered up to that point and starting from scratch. Truth is tainted when it is obtained illegally.

All the complaints about the 'process' are easily dismantled once one does just a tiny bit of research. The Republicans need to rely on ignorance to push what they're selling.

define illegally

and by the way, would you be happy if Trump continued abusing his power due to a legal technicality? Isn't the abuse of power much more important to the U.S. than any process technicality? After all, this is something that affects 350 million people.

And we know it because if any of it was unconstitutional then the GOP would be the first to yell it from the mountaintops.

Stop pissing on everybody's boots and calling it a rainstorm. Democrats have never been interested in finding out *if* tRump is guilty of anything. THey are interested in declaring Trump guilty of everything.
Because they realize that their 2020 candidates are beyond pathetic.

Impeachment is, was and shall remain a 100% political process. Allegations (articles of impeachment) are not judged on their legal merits but on their political value (implications?). Despite the fact that Bill Clinton openly confessed to having committed felony perjury, he was deemed (voted?) "not guilty" of any offense worthy of removing him from office by at least 34 US Senators.

How do you see fb, appl, and the rest of big tech shaking out and the end of the year?

Lower than where they are now. How much lower is yet to be decided. The economic reports tomorrow will help define the situation.

You totally evaded the question.

Are YOU personally not interested in finding out if Trump is guilty of abusing his power? Or are you willing to let him (or anyone else) do whatever they want to do without any control whatsoever?

The House owns the process and they can run it however they see fit. They will also own the fallout if they are deemed to be unfair by the voters.

"Abuse of power" is totally subjective. The Democrats need to show that Trump engaged in certain specific acts with the express intent of enriching himself, his family or his friends and in conflict with the national interest. Just because a given act had the effect of some personal gain isn't enough unless it can be showed that the act was reckless or so unlikely to produce gains in the national interest that he wouldn't have reasonably done it unless there was an opportunity for personal gain.

The Republicans already know in their hearts that Trump is guilty. The only thing for them to attack is their lying twisted perverted version of what they claim is the process.

I think we should impeach every president. Investigate the hell out of them. Since they're innocent from the start, let's hope they try to cover something up or obstruct justice in some way.

Bernie gets elected? Impeach him day one.

All it takes is a vote of the house then another vote in the senate. Easy peasy.

Don't have the support of even one democrat? Impeach away. Who cares?

That's a good question. If he did something wrong, then fine. If not, then that's fine and it would make the DNC look worse just like they wanted anyway.

No I would not. But I would want this legal technicality to be addressed. And if it was not, I would vote for representatives that made addressing this technicality a priority. I would even support impeachment in spite of the technicality. I would not, however, condone any investigation that included illegal or improper behavior on the part of investigators. Investigations like these tend to have the exact opposite effect on criminals that the investigators want them to. Rather than facing justice for their crimes, criminals that are 100% certain to be guilty often get off scot-free based solely on improper investigations.

Still, it is possible to violate the law during impeachment investigations. In that case, I would not support the conclusions of the investigation, even if impeachment doesn't really require the investigation in the first place.

Losing power is scary thing, because you can't get any legal bribe money anymore. Maybe some of those still believe that Trump is innocent? What I don't get is that they support Trump after multiple f*** up's and silly things (sharpie-gate, twitter, crazy talk at rallies, so on...) - people should wake up and remove Trump from office ASAP. Trump is sell out clown who only care about money - if that's good thing in minds of republican, better vote them out too.

Had the demorats (and their MSM cheerleaders) not been talking about (promising?) impeachment since Trump won the 2016 POTUS election then I would be far more inclined to take them seriously. As it is, they are simply grabbing on to an "easy to understand" allegation of improper politicking (asking for foreign "opposition research") and trying to BS us into thinking that poses a "national security threat".

Hmm... isn't that what Schiff has been so busy doing?

One of the “truth” problems is that the partisan conditioning has taken hold. Irrelevant of party they don’t understand and are naive of the ugliness with DC politics and the role the media plays, both broadcast and social with it.

This Op is an example of not just being naive but the perfect target to suck into the partisan narrative.

A fair interpretation. But then, lying about having an affair with an intern hardly qualifies as a national security threat, yes? The Democrats can perhaps be forgiven for reveling in what appears to be an actual abuse of presidential power (however minor it might be from a national security standpoint,) and running it right up the impeachment flagpole. In this political environment turnabout is fair play and has been for over a decade, and Trump should have known better. You can't fight dirty and then accuse your opponent of fighting dirty as soon as he gets an advantage over you.

Agreed, but you can't expect a batch of "rule stretching" politicians to get too serious about ejecting anyone from elected office based on breaking (or bending too far?) a political rule. BTW, didn't a congress critter recently resign (at Pelosi's "request"?) over some sexual activity with a staffer? ;)
