Trump considers selling DC hotel: WSJ | TheHill

The Trump Organization is considering the sale of the rights to its Washington D.C. hotel, The Wall Street Journal reported Friday.

The newspaper reported that company said the move is partially motivated by concerns about the Trump family's adherence to ethics laws.
===================================
Son Eric Trump has brought in a big time real estate firm to 'market' the property, which is owned by the U.S. Government (GSA).

I guess they finally found the several references to 'emoluments' in the Constitution & decided to get out of the heat once they figured out what that word meant.

Another diversion, also they’re selling a lease not the building.

Kinda late for that, isn't it?

Is that some sort of reflex?

Trump took out the lease, fixed up the property, and receives income from the hotel. Trump Organization has continued to operate it in a manner that almost certainly violates the Emoluments Clause.

Trump brought attention to his violations of the Constitution by trying to steer the next G7 meeting at one of his resorts. If anything, the real surprise would be if they were motivated by US law to end the lease.

I wonder, do you just not take the Constitution seriously?

3 years in and they're now concerned about ethics? :lamo

Maybe the fact that Donald Trump is the defendant in two ongoing Emoluments Clause lawsuits has something major to do with it.

What? I think Trump is using this as a diversion because of the horrific week he is having, ie it takes focus off of the impeachment.

The next BS move is to claim no one could possibly afford the asking price because it is such a beautiful property.

Trump Organization is a joke.

Ah, I thought you meant that his critics were trying to bring up an irrelevant issue. Never mind....
