UConn Students Arrested For Using N Word. Are You Fricking KIDDING me?

2 white UConn students arrested after video showed them shouting racial slurs

"Two white students at the University of Connecticut were arrested Monday after video that showed them shouting racial slurs prompted campus protests, university police told NBC News........Karal and Mucaj’s charges could result in a $50 fine or up to 30 days in jail. The men were playing a game that involved yelling vulgar words, university police said, and then started shouting epithets.'

When did namecalling become a crime? Are you fricking joking? I swear to God, we live in the USSR now. No more First Amendment rights in Connecticut if you 're a white male.

1) The students were not addressing any individual. The were playing a game that involved shouting words.
2) Dontcha love how the story takes great pains to point out the "two white students"? Their names were Karal and Macaj, certainly nice suburban white-sounding names. I wonder why they appear middle eastern.
3) Are students also arrested for calling whites the C word and the H word? Are they arrested for calling Christians the F word? Bet not.
4) Can blacks also be arrested for saying the N word? How about for playing a rap song using the F word? Bet not.
5) These weren't actually arrests based on live events. They're from a video.
6) When will Americans stand up to this radical Marxist garbage?

If you actually look it up, the statute originated in 1917 so I don't know why you think NOW all of a sudden CT is looking like the USSR but that kind of blows your victim hood so please do carry on.
 
Jarred Mitchell Karal, and Ryan Gilman Mucaj are about to become extremely wealthy after they sue the State of Connecticut for willfully violating their constitutionally protected rights. It also demonstrates the depravity of the insane left, that an entire State legislature could enact such a law that they knew blatantly violated the First Amendment, but they just didn't care. Once again demonstrating why the Democratic Party is the greatest threat the US has ever faced in its entire history.

How can the sue Connecticut for enforcing the law? At best they can challenge the law and get it struck down as unconstitutional.

If they go to court they will win on freedom of speech grounds. No one owns the language. No one owns words in the language any more than they own birdsongs.

The link in the 2nd post by SonofDaedelus covers the history a bit. These prosecutors are clearly misapplying a nearly certain to be unconstitutional law.

Because in all this time that unconstitutional law was never enforced - until this incident. In 1917 the First Amendment had not been incorporated among the States by the Supreme Court yet, but it had been by 1925. So they knew the law was unconstitutional even then, but they are trying to enforce it today.

If "ridicule on account of race, color, or creed" is part of the civil code in the town of Vernon, Ct....what's your problem? You seem to think that white people are exempt from rules of behavior. And that doesn't surprise me, at all.

Are you kidding? Lawyers will be climbing over each other to allow these two kids to sue the State at their expense. They won't have to pay a penny, just reap the rewards from the monumentally stupid left.

Let's hope Trump follows through with his threat and revokes all federal funding to the University of Connecticut for their blatant attacks against the First Amendment.

Half the people I work with are black. During every conversation the N word is used.
If a white comedian used the N word, will he be arrest.

I hope they sue the police department for violating their constitutional rights.

I remember going to NYC in the 80’s. I remember a black guy on a milk carton giving a hate speech in Times Square. No one arrest him. No one protested. He wasn’t hurting anyone. People just ignored him and went about their day.

The police department were merely enforcing the law. It is the State of Connecticut who will be sued since the morons enacted the unconstitutional law in the first place.
