Trump: impeachment inquiry a 'lynching'

First it was unconstitutional - which it isn't

Then a witch trial, with him as the witch - which it hasn't got to a trial yet

Then it was a "kangaroo court" - except the "court" trying the case is the GOP dominated Senate

Now it's a lynch mob, with himself as the victim

What Next?

Miscarriage of justice
Railroaded
Roughshod
Sold down the river
Betrayed
Judas - 30 pieces of silver
Framed
Conspiracy
Rigged trial
Scapegoat
Patsy
Cowards
Usurper

Anyone want to play Trump impeachment bingo ?

Oh there is a lynching all right--Trump hanging himself with all the rope the GOP gave him.

Totes a lynching.

That would be a suicide wouldn't it ?

I wish Trump had stayed true to his repugnant, greedy self and kept the G7 conference at his Florida property.

Goodness. As if the hyperbole on the Right couldn't get any more ridiculous.

I wonder if the translation of this cry for help means the GOP is jumping off the sinking ship. Could well be that the tea leaves are no longer as green as they ought be, and many are signaling to Mitch that defending the Trumpster is no longer in their best interests.

So, in terms of morality, murdering a black man is the equivalent of investigating a white man.

Good gracious, a lot of the Trump's base must be lovin' how Trump's beliefs so closely mirror their own. They'll be defending this indefensible statement 'till the cows come home.

There is nothing more abhorrent than a pasty white guy talking about being lynched. It gives me the douche-chills.

Me too! Just when you think this Scumbag in Chief can't get any lower, he does! Every day since his candidacy he's done nothing but give racist and insulting comments, think only of himself, F*** the country and its people, and say and do the most ignorant things imaginable. He's too egotistical to take advice from anyone, he sucks the a$$es of murderous dictators, and he's too uneducated and psychotic to be in that position for so long. He needs to get booted out ASAP, so repair to all the damage he's done can be started/attempted.

The Democrats support for lynching goes way back in US history. Demonstrated by Democrats filibustering every federal bill introduced that made lynching illegal. Beginning with the Dryer Anti-Lynching bill (H.R. 11279, 65th Session of Congress) in 1918. Again with the Costigan-Wagner Anti-Lynching bill in 1934, Democrats would vehemently support lynching and oppose the bill.

It would not be until 2018 before Republicans were finally able to pass a federal anti-lynching law (Justice for Victims of Lynching Act). The Democratic Party's support of lynching for the last 190 years has been legendary.

Good point. Conservatives used to be Democrats, and they supported lynching back then. Racists back then, and Trump believes they're racists today. Funny how things stay the same, eh?

He finally said something that most of the rest of the GOP is saying was over the line. Never thought I'd see it. But then again, there's no real telling how low and stupid Trump will go with his comments.

It must make you sad that the 2020 Dem candidates are basically unelectable, but this impeachment ploy isn't going to work. Just like all the other attempts.

What's sad is that an incompetent moron got elected in the first place.

If Amb. Taylor's testimony today is any indication...Trump is going to get impeached. :)

Boy, those ol time southern conservatives sure were terrible people, weren't they? Jim Crowe laws and confederate statues were popping up in every southern state. To this day, conservatives still claim those Confederate statues representing slavery as their heritage and they're still trying to legislate laws that oppress blacks. Oh, I see that you identify as a conservative, too...Glitch. How is it that you don't know you're own heritage?

What a horrible choice of wording but nothing I don't expect any more from a man with a grade school vocabulary. I do however, expect more from our President and hate how he uses that kind of inflammatory language to divide us more.

Hi americanwoman, have a question for you. If you found out during the Clinton impeachment that there were Democrats calling it a lynching of Clinton, including Senator Biden at the time would you feel the same way?

Flashback: Top Dems, including Biden and Nadler, called Clinton impeachment '''lynching''' | Fox News

So since you condemn that, you condemn this?

We're waiting.....

But that's a lie the camps on the border were called concentration camps not death camps.
I should know better the truth doesn't matter.

Graham's analogy is to a secret trial where the defendant is denied a chance to be heard. The impeachment inquiry, however, is comparable to a grand jury proceeding, not a trial. And unlike a grand jury proceeding, Trump is represented in effect by Republican lawyers who are able to question witnesses just as Democrats lawyers do. Republican congressmen attend the hearings, also unlike a grand jury proceeding where no such access is granted the suspect's representatives. Graham's accusation is completely false, and he knows it, and maybe he knows it smells of desperation. The trial is not here yet, but a trial there will be.

CNN is an endless steam of BS virtue signaling that panders to the mindless rage culture.

Ok, and this isn't a lynching. But you're right, the truth doesn't matter, the great Trump has spoken and his useful idiots sre out to make sure we all know he's right.

In the end though, it's classic Trump. The criticism gets too strong and he throws out a racial smoke bomb. Apparently, that's what his followers want.

So we now have a presidential confession, a Mulvaney confession, and multiple witnesses from within the administration to provide us with the smoking gun.

And what is the GOP reaction to all of this? Petty complaints about process.

The GOP is a gutless and cowardly group reduced to substituting petty complaints about process for proclamations of innocence. It is truly pathetic.

So you're ok with it......as long as it's Trump. He can do no wrong.

No Rocket88, I didn't scream about CNN's use of the word anymore than I am screaming about Trump's use of the word or the DNC use of the word during Clinton's impeachment. I am being consistent while you are not.

.

no , you really don't. you have BS leaks about nothing trustworthy... but hey , there's one good way to clear all of this up... ask them to vote to impeach and have a public inquiry where everyone can get their questions in.

that headline was inappropriate for the same exact reason.

Add it to the list of **** you didn't care about until Trump said it.

You just did scream about CNN in your attempt to deflect. You are being consistent however. Consistent in your mindless defense.

I wasn't aware of it until I saw the image. If I become aware of other unfortunate and tone-def language, I will point that out as well
