Durham by all accounts is what the Trump Administration would call a “Deep Stater”. Durham reminds me of Gen Mattis, AG Sessions or Gen Kelly, how diid work out?
Get used to Mattis and McRaven because they're your ringleaders as it were.
Add the retired Army Gen. McCaffrey and you're got your trio. In Soviet Russia they call it a troika. In USA we can call 'em together the Constitutionalists.
That is, they take seriously and profoundly their oath to the Constitution. All of 'em do, the generals, admirals, colonels, captains and so on through the ranks. The oath is to the Constitution, not to any one person or official no matter who.
Trump btw did not revoke the security clearance of the admiral who commanded the armed forces SOF Command and the bin Laden kill. Still, the generals and admirals on down the chain of command know what's going on.

Retired Adm. William McRaven called President Donald Trump's leadership an embarrassment to the nation Thursday while defending the integrity of former CIA Director John Brennan in an open letter to the president that is being published as an op-ed by The Washington Post.
Trump's action Wednesday in stripping Brennan of his security clearance demeaned "one of the finest public servants I have ever known," McRaven wrote.
"Few Americans have done more to protect this country than John," he continued in a rare rebuke of a sitting commander-in-chief by a retired four-star.
"Therefore, I would consider it an honor if you would revoke my security clearance as well, so I can add my name to the list of men and women who have spoken up against your presidency," he added.

Michael McFaul who is currently a Hoover Institute fellow at Stanford was US ambassador to Russia who had Putin's number on his every move. When McFaul who is also a former member of the National Security Council left Russia Putin banned him from the ****hole country for life.
However, after Helsinki and the closed secret meeting between Putin and his pet Trump, when Putin told Trump to give him McFaul for questioning, Trump said he'd consider it. Trump got blowback in the USA against it however that killed the possibility Trump said he was considering.
Outrage erupts over Trump-Putin ‘conversation’ about letting Russia interrogate ex-U.S. diplomat Michael McFaul
Allowing such questioning of Americans, particularly of a former ambassador who had diplomatic protections while in Moscow, would be an extraordinary move on the part of the Trump administration, experts and officials said.
“The entire country should be aware of this,” tweeted Tom Nichols, a professor at the U.S. Naval War College and the Harvard Extension School. “If Putin can single out” McFaul, Nichols said, “he can single out anyone. The President’s job is to protect us, not to even consider handing any of us over to an enemy government.”

Now things are worse to include for Brennan and Clapper. They'll get worse yet. This is guaranteed because the worse Putin-Trump make things the worse Trump gets. Because Trump has no bottom however he's going to have to be bottomed out. As in out. As Gen. McCaffrey retired said the other day, Trump does nothing except take a "blowtorch" to the US national security. This will not stand.
