Democrats '''leaking like mad''' in impeachment inquiry and '''it'''s working,''' Brit Hume says | Fox News

It’s going to be interesting to see how this plays out, and if the media stays one sided. No one ever went broke underestimating the American people.

So we just have to wait it out. House Democrats leading the Trump impeachment inquiry have been able to boost their cause by leaking details of closed-door meetings, according to Brit Hume.

By leaking controlled information, it gives cause for anyone subpoenaed to deny the request, with cause.

Aww, look at the trumpies whine, well, what do you expect from the cut and run party. Kinda figured they were not Americans, our colors don’t run. All roads lead to russia.

says not a shred of evidence yet.

I don't trust ****e on these leaks. I want to see the full fledged evidence or screw Dems.

Trump is the greatest danger America has faced. I'm sure that's what you really meant to say.

I wouldn't go that far. I am pretty sure that Jefferson Davis was a bigger threat.

Sure, I live in two countries. One offers a great minimum wage. ('bout the highest in the world) People who work for the minimum wage in my country take home about $10.35 ..after Taxes..after health care, eye wear, complete dental care..paid 6 week vacation..paid child care and many other things. Most people make way more than minimum wage. The other country is crammed full of ignorant hillbillies, no health care for all..no dental plan worth a damn..A president that would be an embarrassment to a family of pit vipers cheered on by some of the most dumbest MF's I've ever had the displeasure of living with. ..but forced to 6 months a year. Does that answer your question?

Excellent; sounds just like the UK vs. US. Just been to pick up my free prescription drugs after my free visit to the doctor, using my free bus pass.

It remains to be seen if they have the votes in the house. I doubt they have enough votes to even get the inquiry passed let along the full inquisition. Of course the only way to know is to call a vote.

You seem to be confused by the volume of right wing noise on the subject of whether the house has the votes.

“It remains to be seen”?????

Enough Congress members publicly declared their intention to vote for impeachment three weeks ago.

If you think there is any doubt about it, change the channel or read a newspaper and learn something.

Because, despite the noise from the right wing noise machine, that matter has not been in doubt for some time.

You’re not going to like it when you do. And you won’t have an excuse to shut your eyes or cover your ears either.

LOL i am fine if Trump actually did something wrong to have him removed from office, BUT this secret testimony then leak crap makes the Dems look shady.

at this point I am going to need to see tapes, further transcripts, SOMETHING, or there better be 3 or more actual first hand witnesses who do not have opposite side counterparts, because I believe they are so desperate they will say anything to get rid of Trump... and I want cross examinations and frikking ANSWERS.

if they cannot supply this I have to wonder why not.

Mitch McConnell was put on notice tonight by the Democrats to prepare for an impeachment trial by Thanksgiving.

I don’t think that’s what happened.

This is a major turning point.

Up till almost that moment, the approved right wing talking point was to goad Democrats in Congress over scheduling a vote to open an impeachment inquiry, dispute there being no requirement to do so at all, and the fact that the GOP didn’t do that during the Clinton impeachment.

It doesn’t mater now.

Brit Hume wrote an item noting that the deposition process that the investigating committees are using to interview the flood of civil servants stepping up to detail the activities of Trump’s henchmen have given them the upper hand.

Until now, the core of the White House strategy has been to use obstruction and stonewalling to keep the Mueller Report off the television screen.

When Rudy Guliani blew open the Ukraine story, that was still the strategy.

And yesterday, stonewalling went as far as the Vice President. This is not a tenable situation. Especially since precident makes it clear that these efforts will fail.

McConnell’s actions yesterday made it clear that they are beating the inevitable retreat.

They have gone from daring the House to hold a vote opening an already ongoing investigation, to laying out how to get through it fast, before the damage gets that much worse.

Delay has switched to haste.

The GOP does not have a viable Presidential candidate without Trump. Should the trial happen in January and early February,as the Clinton impeachment did, we could all be sitting around on the night of the New Hampshire primary watching an Impeachment trial.

Politically, the Democrats have every incentive to delay, and plenty of good reasons to do so.

We will see. All of the investigating committees are facing witnesses that have been told not to testify by the White House. The White House has no legal authority to prevent such testimony, but they have been delaying, hoping litigation over the matter will run the clock out.

Now, they have to clear the log jam if they want to rush the process.

All of these people will be called in a Senate trial, and the trial will proceed at the pace John Roberts sets.

You didn't get Hume's point.

The MSM is using the leaks from their circus clown partners to manipulate the public opinion.

When it comes to actual impeachment, who cares about that?

This is a one sided kangaroo court.

Due Process and the Constitution are foreign subjects to these treasonous bastards.

Sorry, you are getting played only now we are doing it. Just can’t win when you support a fool.

What makes you think that I missed that point??????

Most of my post was discussing exactly that point, and its consequences.

So you serve up this idiotic nonsense about imaginary due process. That talking point was dead on arrival.

There will be a trial, there will be witnesses (no matter how hard the Trump team tried to keep them off the TV screen).

The shoe is now on the other foot.

We’ve moved past the fiction that there might not be an impeachment. McConnell just made it clear that there will be one.

And the strategy has switched from delay, obfuscate and stonewall, to get through it quickly.

Maybe on of your talk radio voices can explain it to you. But more likely, he’ll serve up some new BS as equally ridiculous as this fake “due process” rant.

Due Process is a foundational Constitutional right. It's not DOA.

Remarkable how often the far left is willing to prove their disdain for the Constitution.

The leaks are one sided. The MSM is participating in this charade.

It's treasonous.

Impeachment is like being fired from a job, that's not a due process consideration as no constitutional rights are being taken away.

They will, and the ubermenschen american supremacists will see precisely what a reptilian, draconian, infantile lunatic they support is. They will see him exposed for his corrupt, disgusting, and grotesque, self serving actions. They will, no doubt, turn a blind eye to the plebes, the rest of us, the huddled masses, in their eternal quest for self justification.

And in the end, this chapter will inevitably close, a stain on the conscience of a nation, a harkening to days long gone, a joke and a fraud laid plain, showing how vile the american people can be, in electing people who would marginalize, demonize, and harm their own.

Human history is riddled with examples of citizens of a nation being destroyed by their own nation, and this one is no different. I wonder, before this planet dies in the boiling expansion of the sun, will indifferent spectators, seeing the remnants of this species and planet, be wrily confused, or sardonic, about how we treated each other, in the vast gulf of annihilation and apathy that is the universe?

Hm.

So you think Due Process was suspended during the attempt to impeach the Judge?

Show me where Due Process was suspended.

Do you grasp the fact that Nixon's challenge in Federal Court is evidence of Due Process protections?

Do you know the 5th and 14th Amendment says about Due Process?

Basically this means due process is what the congress says it is. Judges cannot rule differently. If the house believes they are following due process, then legally, they are.

I get it from the pathological, obsessive cult of personality the ubermenschen have constructed around Donald. I get it from the disgusting manner in which people speak, from the Trumpian side, about the born condition of their fellow americans. I get it from the horrific embrace of monetary policy that ensures a darwinian economic stance that leaves fellow americans behind in an endless quest to "hold people accountable" for things that may never be in their control to begin with.

It's abject. We literally have an expiration date. And here we sit, bickering, squabbling, blaming, hating - it's comical, in a dark way.

The leaks themselves could be lies. Unless the individuals leaking come forward, testify, and prove their source, it is just rumor.
