Donald Trump had a “meltdown” at the White House in a meeting with House leadership on Wednesday, Democrats said, after Congress passed a bipartisan resolution rebuking his withdrawal of troops in northeastern Syria.

In a press conference held immediately after the meeting, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, a New York Democrat, said the president turned the meeting into a “diatribe” while attacking House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Mr Trump "was insulting, particularly to the speaker," Mr Schumer said. "He called her a third-rate politician."

"This was not a dialogue. It was sort of a diatribe," he continued. "Not focused on the facts, particularly the facts about how to contain ISIS."

House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer also said the Democratic leaders were "deeply offended" by the president's comments and walked out of the meeting.

It appears that Trump has sand on the brain today. "Syria may have some help from Russia and that's fine. There's a lot of sand. They got a lotta sand over there so there's a lot of sand that they can play with." "Russia wants to get involved with Syria, that's really up to them."

Does your president have the slightest clue about the geopolitics of the Middle East and why we were protecting the Kurds. Any idea at all? There's nobody left in the White House to hold Trump back from his impulses or to talk sense into his brain. His rationale is out the window and he's officially spinning totally out of control.

Good, Thank God we have a president that calls them like he sees them. Pelosi and Schumer are gutless frauds. I hope he had them thrown out of the WH.

Well since Mitch had nothing to say in the meeting or after, it probably happened just the way they said it did. The Grim Reaper of the Senate had nothing to say to back up a president whose balls are usually firmly in his mouth.

Nancy had the meltdown, right? Trump even tweeted a photo of her "melt down" actually looking like a boss while his cabinet all hung their heads in shame.....

I guess everyone they own on the left, for starters.

Outside of mandated meetings, I see no reason the President should ever meet with the clowns from the New Democratic Party.
